I wonder if its something they changed in the latest version. I'm still a certain behind, and it asked me the other day if I wanted to update.

That was a big no.

Khajiit has ESO set to take screenies with print screen, but other games use F12.

I wondered that too.

I've always used FRAPS; and loved it = but when my laptop crashed and I started using this new PC = went to find FRAPS free download online and couldn't find it anymore. I probably still have it on my old PC; was wondering if I could transfer it to my Passport and load it up on here. (Not sure if it would work since that old PC was 32 bit and the new PC is 64 bit).

Every game I've ever played has used Print Screen for screenshots; then put it into the game folder of whatever game I was playing. Even the CK uses Print Screen.

I wouldn't mind using F12 if I wanted to; I just don't like having the choice taken from me by Steam forcing me to use their way of doing it - and really not sure why they felt the need to hide the screenshots way down in the files that way. I mean = all Steam's folders and they couldn't make a "Screenshots" folder?

Since it was working perfectly fine when I first bought Fallout 4 in December and took all those screens of Misa/Shaun/and Nate (and didn't stop working till after their update lost all their files and Steam needed to be reinstalled along with all my games reinstalled) = I am sure it is something they did.

Episode 15 of my Transport Fever Scenic Excursions series is now available online. In it, we once again deliver fuel to the city of Chesham via a route ridden as far back as episode 2 (when track-side scenery was far different), as recently as episode 9. As with other post ep10 excursions it utilizes three recently added mods for better graphics, though YouTube video compression somewhat negates these visual improvements, especially Full Screen.

In other TpF news, I spent the whole of my gaming time these past three days placing scenery along a stretch of tracks leading to the city of Hartlepool. It's slow going. I expect to be at it a LONG time. A VERY long time. Don't know if I'll cover the entire route. It's a lot of railway.

Another Rebellion game is over. Found the rebel HQ and blasted it away.

Was hoping for one big, final fight but nope. But at least I got a couple of them this time around at all, unlike last time when I didn't even get one.

Started Monster Hunter: World. I'm in for pain. I got asked if I've ever played Dark Souls. No, I haven't.

I can't execute combos or use ranged weapons worth a crap. Mouse and keyboard controls are a pita. I'm thinking of picking up a ps4 controller for it.

Because of some moving related to remodeling (we are replacing every floor, including sub floor and joists- one room at a time)- I found a box with Codename: Panzers Phase One and Phase Two.

Due to really antiquated disc copy protection, it will not run on Win 10.

So for my next trick, I am going to try to set up an XP VM. Failing all that, GOG has the games- if I want to spend the money.

Thanks, I would appreciate [uploading a new edition of the TpF ep11 train ride]. I hate missing something you've made = love your creativity.

Here it be, hot off the press: Transport Fever Scenic Excursion ep13 - Epping to Kidderminster Passenger Service "Sexy Rocks" Edition. Besides non use of the 'old film' filter for a portion of the video (thus no 'flickering') this one sports general scenic improvement along the route and a rock cliff constructed not far outside Epping thanks to the newly released mod 'Sexy Rocks.'

ADDENDUM:
Just double-checked the video at YouTube. My issue with YT compression degradation seen in earlier uploads is now much abated. This episode (along with ep11, maybe 12) looks reasonably focused at 1080p in Threater Mode and is now watchable Full Screen. The cure, I believe, is to render YT upload files at a lower bitrate than I previously did. This has the added benefit of smaller file size thus quicker uploading over my slow-as-molasses internet connection.

You mentioned on a different thread that you had fixed the flickering lights episode; but I had a lot of trouble finding it. I finally found it! (I think). The Episode I had trouble watching due to the flickering light was Episode 11; so I kept looking for Episode 11 to be re-linked after my comment about it = couldn't find it. This was the only new link; but it is Episode 13; so I kept thinking I'd missed something. ("thinking" might be a loose term, lol).

Anyway, I do Love this episode! The landscape was gorgeous; and the sound effects of people talking and birds tweeting in the stations = really nice touch!

I loved the "Ride Aling" part where you were going through the tunnels to get through the mountain pass = was wondering when you entered the tunnels and the camera changed sides of the train = do YOU change the camera angle or is that something that happens automatically when entering a tunnel?
Anyway, it was very cool. I think this one is one of my favorites because of the landscaping = it looks so much like places I've actually lived IRL.

Awesome vid!

QUOTE(Decrepit @ Jan 27 2019, 07:38 AM) *

Overnight I uploaded episode 14 in my Transport Fever Scenic Excursion series. It's a blasphemy episode in that for one third of its duration, the stretch of railway between Eastleigh and Morley, our route contains no added scenery whatsoever other than some seen at distance across the river. For this reason it almost didn't see light of day. After much debate I decided the scenery-barren segment contains enough train spotting to justify an upload.

I grow more and more frustrated with my current TpF map due to its many failures. To correct these, assuming I can, will require nuking a major portion of my railway system to the ground and more or less beginning afresh. This I am reluctant to do. Besides, if I start afresh I'd rather do so with a new, larger map, either a downloaded custom map or a randomly generated map set to "huge." (My current map is "medium.") What's holding me back? First, I'm not yet quite sure what sort of railway network I want. Second, I don't believe I've learned how to avoid my current map's failures, especially in regard to Rail Freight. (I think I can now design a passable Rail Passenger Network.) Third, in some ways most significant, re-installing my 260-plus mods will be a major, time-consuming headache. The game's built-in mod manager gets the job done, but doesn't provide automatic transfer between maps with their proper load order retained. A third-party mod manager is available, but it's geared more toward non Workshop mods. Only a handful of mine aren't Workshop mods.

Episode 13; (which was spectacular) was still in my mind the whole time I was watching this one; I had to watch this one twice so it isn't overshadowed by its Awesome predecessor, lol.

Some things I neglected to mention on Episode 13:

There were several cross-overs and crossroads in this Episode that really added so much to the vid! One huge example was towards the end of the vid = a curving road that was going up a hill toward a crossroads of road and rails. There was a Semi that looked to be piggybacking (it seemed too long for a semi with just one trailer; in fact at first I thought it was another train, but it was on the road).

It was coming up the hill on that curved road toward that crossroads at a fairly high rate of speed (probably had to in order to make it to the top due to it being uphill and the weight of the extra trailer behind) = while at the top of the hill the train was chugging at a pretty good clip toward the crossroads.

Watching that intersection I kept seeing them coming closer and closer with a trajectory and speed that I was sure would end in the two crashing. I really seriously wondered if you had thrown a crash in to catch us viewers by surprise; but at the last minute the semi stopped. WHEW!!!

That was probably the most awesome moment I've seen in these vids, I was actually holding my breath watching/worried what would happen, lol.

Anyway, it made me wonder what would happen in that game if you hadn't stopped the semi? Does the game account for crashes (like GTA or something?) It was the first time watching these vids that it ever occurred to me; so I had to ask.

*

Now, back to Episode 14: It had several scenes that deserved mention; especially one near the end where you were coming into a large busy station and then waiting while other trains worked their way through the station = that was Awesome! I can't even begin to imagine how much time you spent building up that one station and all those interactions!!! Holy Cow!!!

There was another station early on in the vid where I could actually hear some music playing in the distance as if it was coming from either inside the station or something = but the train only slowed down there; so it was such a quick interchange that I had to back it up and listen again to be sure I heard it = that little detail really made this vid for me.

Another thing I noticed coming into a large station at the end of the vid was the steam puffing out of the train as it braked = it got so thick you could barely see for a few seconds!

Did you have to add that in or is that done automatically by the game? These little details are what makes these vids spectacular for me; how do you think of them? These vids are a far cry from the first Episode you posted; you are really becoming a master at these trips!

You said this vid was a "Blasphemy Episode" = I don't agree. Following immediately after Episode 13 it might be overshadowed at first by that Episode (which was a masterpiece). But what Episode 14 lacks in scenery, it makes up for in detail. You can watch your vids from the beginning and map your progress in world building with these train trips. Those details made this vid; I'm really glad you uploaded it!

Okay, this Episode may have edged out Episode 13 for my favorite of all time Episodes! The people! First off, that produce truck being loaded (or unloaded) along the side of the tracks at some depot = the guy was actually doing something with that crate! How did you do that? And people were crossing the street at that downtown crossroads!

Also, this is the first time I realized you wrote some extensive details in below the vid itself = now I'm wanting to go back to a few of the earlier vids that I loved and see what you wrote on them!

I've never played this game; don't know how it works. You talk about adding scenery; but I don't know how much of what I see is something you have added or if it is a part of the game or a mod, (etc). And if something is moving (like the automobile traffic or people) = how much control do you have over their movements? (or is it like "Banished" where they create their own schedule based on their job which the Player gives them?)

Amazing job you are doing with these, and another really great vid!

I kept my old "Windows 95 upgraded to XP" 10 gig PC for just stuff like this = I think it even has a floppy drive!

You used to be able to make a partition and put a DOS OS (or older Windows version) on the partition; but I'm not sure if you can do that anymore with the current PC's.

Went back to Majora's Mask because I remembered how "comfy" that game is for me. Trying an "original" run, by which I mean no Song of Time variants, and it would include no Owl Statue saves if it weren't the ONLY way to save in the 3DS version. (Also I don't play for very long so lol)

Next I might try a 3 heart run.

TpF wise, the game has been on pause day after day while I add scenery along a train route between Chesham and Hartlepool. Much has been done. Much remains to be done. I still plan to document what the route looked like very early on in the process at Scenic Excursion ep16. Some episodes later we'll ride it again with scenery in place. Most of it in any case.

@mALX:
Whoa.... Thanks for the comments on my (mostly) recent YouTube uploads. tongue.gif I intend to reply to the bulk of your questions. Only, there's a lot to respond to. laugh.gif Too much to tackle in one setting with this forum's Add Reply window open. I've taken the liberty of copying everything into my Word Processor, and will type out hopefully suitable responses over the next some days at leisure. I'll likely break it down into several smaller posts rather than one gargantuan post. Maybe. Heh

I was sitting thinking what my next main game should be and I suddenly remembered that Enderal's Forgotten Stories "DLC" is supposed to be released sometime tomorrow.

For starters I have to download that from Steam, lol, but THEN Then I'll have something to play. I've been waiting for this for over a year

God, the main theme in the trailer just *clenches fist* fucks me up real good

I thoroughly enjoyed the original story to the point where it still breaks my heart to think back on it (I learned that for me it's an indicator of a good story). This was originally sold as adding a third, alternate ending to the main quest, but the addition of a bunch of sidequests and factions that didn't make it to the original release is grabbing my attention, too. Can't wait.
