I guess you mean the road leading up to the cottage, i.e car road/driveway (not just tractor/ATV road), then this is the most recent one from early winter last year.

What Horsepower was your little 'Cavator? You sure did a lot of land clearing and shaping with that little thing!!!

That I did. This thing was remarkable with how much it was actually capable of. Don't know the horsepower but it was a Volvo 1,5 ton.

I have been working on my arachnophobia for the past few years. Ever since I wrote the Djieien in the Stormcrow fiction. So they do not bother me nearly as much anymore. When I find them in my house I leave them be, rather than freak out. I even found a tiny one sitting on my leg once, and it didn't bother me at all. I just sat very still so I would not accidentally crush it, and let it go about its business. When I looked back later it was gone.

I'm always happy to see a little jumping spider visit. I prefer their company to the gnats and moths they've come to eat.

I think the teeny little spider I found on my leg was a jumping spider. It was hard to see it, because it was so small. I love the ones that dance!

With SubRosa having recently graced us with her photographic presence, I reckon it's time to bite the bullet and post my "annual" photo update. I thought to hold out a while longer, to capture myself better recovered from my early 2025 serious illness. But who knows how long that'll take? Better to get it done and over with. Besides, I can always capture another image if need be.

Thanks to my el cheapo digital camera and crappy bathroom over-the-sink lighting, I look redded than I ought to, and those dark areas immediately below my eyes are exaggerated. Oddly, my undershirt color is pretty spot-on. It is what it is.

I'd grace yinz with thirty-five year old Kane, but I don't have any recent photos that do me justice. I lost nearly thirty pounds in the last two to three months in an unhealthy manner and it's really noticeable in my face.

Just when you thought it was safe to return to this thread, I begrime it with a second image of myself, taken several days ago in my bedroom. It's not ideal, but I'm more pleased with it than I am with my initial 2025 photo.
