That's a nice list, Reaper A couple honorable mentions: Arena Need 4 Speed Doom (Flying game I forgot the name of) Edit: Just read on the Duke Nukem 3D fandom site about a secret level I haven't found on my own; Tier Drop! I have found all the others I think, most recent being Lunatic Fringe. I just HAVE TO look up Tier Drop tonight!! This post has been edited by mirocu: May 26 2019, 01:54 PM

Boy do I have a lot of ancient long-neglected DOS games sitting on shelves in a closet! Prolly never play any of those again. I too tend to get those few DOS titles actually installed on my PC from GOG. The exception is of course Daggerfall, where I use DaggerInstall.exe...best way to acquire and install the game in my opinion, even considering Unity (which is finally approaching viable status). The measly few other DOS titles currently installed on my PC are:
1) Wizardry 7 - Crusaders of the Dark Savant. One of 'the' great first-person old-style party RPGs, again in my opinion.
2) King of Dragon Pass. A rather unique title. Alas, I find it requires windows fonts set to 'normal.' My tired old eyes require larger Windows fonts. Ergo, no KoDP for decrepit me.
3) Solitile. This remove-matching-tiles title has a special place in my PC gaming history. It was first acquired on a floppy disk housed with a computer magazine bought within in conjunction with my very first IBM compatible PC (or IBM clone as we often called them). Of its various layout options I like only one, 'the bridge,' but boy is that one layout addictive!!!!! Don't know how many thousand games I've placed over the decades. The copy on that old disk was shareware. Years later I upgraded to a Windows version, which looks and behaves identical to its DOS ancestor except for slightly improved graphics. Hmmm...I suppose I can't really count it as a DOS title any more. Not gonna delete all this writing...so it stays.
For good or ill, that's all folks.

You gotta move on! Get with the times, grampa! QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 26 2019, 05:59 PM) Gog.com is my place to go to find old Dos games. They do all the work of configuring a dosbox session for you, and make it part of the game installer. So no work at all is required.
Unfortunately they want moneyz and I don't have or want PayPal, nor do I want to pay by credit card. I wanna play DOS games, let me pay with cash!

Computer: Compaq Presario with Windows 95 Game: CyClones (DOS) Status: Installation complete Got this sucker to work too! The only thing I couldn't check to see if it's ok was the sound and music as I don't have a speaker system plugged in at the moment. But it should be fine. Now I just hope I can still use my old saves from 1995-ish, that would be snassy

QUOTE(macole @ Jul 11 2025, 05:31 PM) I remember those titles. I didn't play them though. Spent the 90's with Master of Magic, Might and Magic V, VI & VII, Hexen, and of course Daggerfall. Daggerfall and Master of Magic got the most replay time.
I know of Hexen but never played it or any of the other games you mentioned. Conversely, it seems that no one else on Earth but me have played CyClones QUOTE(Dark Reaper @ Jul 14 2025, 12:07 AM) Only DOS games I've played were: Doom. Wolfenstein 3D. The Elder Scrolls Arena. and Daggerfall.
I always play Wolf3D after breakfast when I live at Chez Cottage on vacation.
