Well my Steam Deck went kaput so I'm pretty much stuck to playing my mobile games like Blue Archive, Girls Frontline 2 and Azur Lane.
Definitely next year I'm getting a new gaming laptop.

Oh no!!! Didn’t you just get that Steam Deck?! What happened?!

No idea probably a hardware issue or something. Eh I was losing interest in it anyways. The list of games it would play was limited, for other games you needed to hack in a backdoor just to play it.

Finally got around to playing the Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4 a couple weeks ago or so. It's a fantastic mod and a neat looks into what Fallout outside the US might look like. Though obviously not canon since it is a mod, I haven't noticed anything contradictory to official lore. And there is a metric ton of content: I've played it a lot since I started and I'm not sure if I'm halfway through all it has to offer.

Highly recommended if you enjoyed Fallout 4, though there are some aspects that feel a bit more like Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

Which is certainly not a bad thing in my opinion. I’ve heard good things about that mod. Whenever I get back around to Fallout4 I may give it a whirl!

I jumped back into Oblivion: Remasterd over the weekend. It seems to be running a bit better after the last patch they released.

Is it really better than the original? mellow.gif

I like a lot of the changes they’ve made made, but I can’t say if the remaster is “better” than the original or not. For instance, I’m not sure if the remaster fixed any of the bugs that BGS left in the original, and the beautiful graphics come at the cost of poor performance at times (which really isn’t anything new to Oblivion) and some oddities like some of the female clothing and armor being removed and some of the colors not being as vibrant or downright dull. If you are happy with the original then I’d say there is no need to play the remaster.

Oh, for sure. For example, while I think Fallout 4's faction system worked out pretty well, I do like New Vegas' system better, such as there being a bunch more minor factions that you can do stuff for. Fallout: London works more like New Vegas in that regard.

Depends partially on what you want out of it. Inevitably, a little bit of charm is lost when you remaster the game, but a lot of it is still intact. The gameplay (namely, the level-scaling) is leagues better in Remastered, though.

I’m playing it on Xbox Series X. I’m going to have to do a full rebuild to replace my current PC so XB Series X was the most economical way to start playing Starfield after it came out.

Playing it on PS5. I waited so long to get those Xbox-exclusive DLC's like Frostcrag Spire or Deepscorn Hollow. I enjoyed the two new quests. Those were fun.

The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”
