QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2025, 12:30 PM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 18 2025, 06:50 PM) QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2025, 09:48 AM) Boss managed to coax one of our customers to place an order That’s kinda important for a business. Yeah, but usually our customers reach out to us. We usually don't reach out to them to ask if they need anything. We're manufacturers and sure, we need people ordering. But we're not door to door salesmen begging people to buy No, but some times you gotta “work the account”! Call’m up and check on’m. See if they need anything. Here in ‘Murica, you can lose accounts if you aren’t checking on them regularly. I suppose it could be different in Sweden though.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2025, 02:51 PM) But it makes sense to "work the account" as sometimes we expect an order to come in but it hasn't yet. Then if we call and ask about it they immediately place an order cause they suddenly realized they needed it! Exactly!

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 13 2025, 02:28 AM) It bjew? Oh noe! Sorry, that's not good obviously. We have a little 2000W backup generator from Biltema. Came in handy this late summer when we lost power for 22 hours. Ran the fridge, coffe maker, TV and DVD on it QUOTE(Dark Reaper @ Nov 13 2025, 04:18 AM) I'm retired, no need to work . I actually want to work now. The place I'm at and the people I work with - I prefer not just sitting at home. Just hope this situation can go on WOW, your Generator ran all that for 22 hours? Is it solar/gas/propane/diesel? I have never seen one for over 500W in the stores, now you have peaked my interest big time!!! QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 14 2025, 03:02 AM) Phone connection?
Also; if given the option I'd rather work for Ka-UUUger than J. Peterman. That guy's way too serious and wierd and his longwinded stories about wearing khakis in Peru would make me cringe.

Yeah, we did. Had to since we had stuff in the freezer and fridge, plus we wanted to watch a DVD in the evening and have coffee It's gasoline, btw. Not the stuff that you get at the pumps though, the premium stuff you buy in a plastic can. QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 19 2025, 07:25 PM) I have never seen one for over 500W in the stores
Really? This one I got at a big chain called Biltema and they even have a 3000W generator although that one is of course much bigger. Mine you can carry in one hand like a very overweight briefcase QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 19 2025, 07:25 PM) Elaine on Seinfeld working for J. Peterman, mALX got it

QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 19 2025, 10:55 PM) QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 19 2025, 04:22 PM) Well, this particular one is suitable for sensitive electronics and maybe it's built differently because of that. I see other generators in the same W range or lower that aren't suitable for that, and they are quite bigger.
Wow, that sounds fantastic! Ours is probably just good enough to keep the refrigerator going if that. Hmmm, I wonder why we don't have that good technology here? I'm sure you guys must have those generators too, and I do recommend one if you can find it. Great for running your PC, charging your phone (yes; I'm all into that now ) and watching TV. All at once too if you have a splitter as each thing doesn't take much power. At least if you have a 2000W or better. But remember; it has to specifically be suited for sensitive electronics. Also: keep those sneks away
