QUOTE(Dark Reaper @ Dec 15 2024, 12:47 PM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Dec 15 2024, 10:11 AM) QUOTE(Dark Reaper @ Dec 14 2024, 12:44 PM) Time to watch some A Christmas Carole with Geroge C. Scott. After the month I've had I'm starting to feel like old Ebenezer Scrooge.
Nobody would blame you Reaps. You have had a pretty rough go of it lately. Thanks. Losing Rosie hurts but nothing will compare to grief and pain that I went through when I lost Loki-1, man those were some of the saddest days of my life. Oh my gosh, Reaper; I am so sorry to hear about Rosie and Loki! That is terrible news; you have my deepest condolences and sympathies. We all know how much you loved them both. QUOTE(mirocu @ Dec 16 2024, 11:53 AM) No problem! I understand why it was blurry and I still liked the colors Also; why December is exhausting

QUOTE(mALX @ Dec 27 2024, 07:49 AM) Yeah; I think we just kind of "rent" our pets to bring us joy for a short time; but our love for them goes on for the rest of our lives I lost my Rottie decades ago now; and he is still in my family's thoughts all the time. They touch our hearts deeper than a human bond in a lot of ways.
Loki-1 was a rottie blue healer mix and was such a beautiful dog. I thought I'd never get over his passing, that is until Loki-2 came into my life and healed me.

QUOTE(macole @ Dec 25 2024, 08:49 PM) I pray that everyone had a wonderfully nice day! Same to you . The one thing that gets to me during this time of the year is I miss the magic it once had, I used to enjoy going out and seeing Christmas decorations at a couple of excellent spots in Oklahoma. Going to a store and watching the workers putting up Christmas decoration and of course going down the toy isle and looking at which toys I wanted to ask my parents to get me for Christmas. But as you get older you have that one REALLY bad Christmas. The holiday just becomes ruined to the point the magic never comes back.

QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 29 2025, 08:03 AM) Sounds a bit like this guy: Too many Christmases go wrong and you get a Scrooge. I think one reason Christmas was so much better when you are a kid is because when you are a kid, it’s not a bother. As an adult, I find the Holidays in general to be mostly a stressful time. It also doesn’t help that there are so many demands on my time and fitting everyone in can be very stressful.Yes, and the demands of the Season itself plus fitting everyone in means strains on everyone's funds too, which just adds to the stress because you know come the New Year those charges you are running up will come due.
