Fancy new weapons for Jenn indeed! Just don't ask her to fly a spaceship. . . . tongue.gif

I recently learned Billy Joel wrote "Big Shot" long ago after he and his wife had dinner with Mick Jagger and his wife Marianne Faithful. If true, makes me wonder what the heck happened between him and Mick, possibly, during that dinner... unsure.gif

Zappping a supermutant, oh yea, Jenn X has some fancy new weapons after diving thru ArcJet Systems with the Brotherhood of Steel! Take some voltage, mutie!

Hey, I have a question, kind of a technical one. I notice when it rains that most surface areas actually look wet; puddles form on the ground, metal surfaces get slick looking, and sometimes small rivulets of water move thru the grass and roads, here and there. These are new tricks for Bethesda, though probably other games can display stuff like this nowadays. It's almost as if all the worldspace areas gain an overlay of textures which are normally absent, but this can't be the case, maybe this is more of an Effect?

In Oblivion I had a mod called Get Wet which caused my characters and all NPCs to visibly drip water from their bodies and clothes when it rained, but even that mod did not affect the entire world, so it seems something new's going on in Fallout 4

I thought I had some pictures for examples, but can't find 'em now. Well this is sort of what I mean, except it's not raining. But look, to the right there's a puddle, kind of hard to see unless we're moving, but When it rains, suddenly water gathers up everywhere, know what I mean?

I do not know how they do it, but yes, FO4 does add a wet overlay onto at least your characters after it rains. Stop after it rains and look. You will see that their skin has a damp sheen, and even their hair looks wet. It is a nice little touch. Here is an example.

Oh yes, Raven's got a sheen to her skin, as though she's perspiring, that's a good example. Maybe I can ask the ghastman how Beth does the wet/dry world textures. Maybe this is also the reason Fallout 4 uses two game engines, although I might be getting confused with Starfield on that. Here is a better example of what I mean, on the right side of the road it's shiny.

Also look at the ground in this pic, I can almost see those slick spots form in real-time as it rains, and Jenn approaches areas like this.

Jenn X could fly a spaceship someday, AC, if I ever get good at Starfield. That's a grand idea I had a while back, making a story which starts in Massachusetts / Fallout 4, but continues on another moon or planet. smile.gif Emily Mandel's book Station Eleven does a similar plot, jumping from Earth to an artificial planet several times in the story. That's very ambitious though, too bad I can still barely type. mellow.gif

Ms. Rosa sad.gif

Jenn also found a mining hat with a nifty headlamp, which casts a circular beam.

Lena doesn't have Fallout 4 but she's thinking the wettening effect is caused by shaders.

Jenn is wearing some nice head protection. I already forgot that there are bandanas in this game.

That skull head sure likes to be caressed.

Based on my posts in this thread, I haven't been in the Commonwealth for 3.5 years!

My new character is Genesis, a super-soldier crafted in secrecy through artificial creation and advanced genetic augmentation. I'll write more of his backstory in the Introductions thread.

Defrozen

Missing reflection

Bug infestation

Nokia?

A few sizes too small

Out there in underwear
