Jeez that's crazy, so if the new game requires Windows 12 and the next generation of consoles that's ridiculous. Or hopefully it'll be backwards compatible with the current Xbox generation. Otherwise ... wow. My expensive Xbox might be useless for the new game?

mALX: Let it go. I said what I wanted to say and so did you. Move on. I'm already trying to.

And that brings up the question of what the target machine will be for the new game. Will it require Windows 12? More RAM than anyone can buy?

And will the game report everything you do to an AI database, so Microsoft can play catch-up with the social media corporations?

My new PC has 32 gigs of RAM; 12 gig graphics; 20 core processors = all the new PC's are coming with this and with XBox installed in the PC, so it is probably what the new games will require since Microsoft and Bethesda are working together on them now. I just hope the games come out before THIS PC is obsolete, urgh.

What? What are you talking about? I was worried because you were upset in your last PM and said someone ripped up at you for being excited, who would have done that? I don't know anyone here who would have ripped up at a member for being excited over the games, it is why we are all here!

I know you were talking to me about the Todd Howard interview; but the only thing I ever said back was that I wasn't going to get excited until they announced the launch date and told you why; so when you wrote back upset it sounded like you were just having a really bad day until you wrote on this thread that someone ripped up at you for being excited. Are you okay, Rene?

I know I didn't rip up at you at all, what I said about not letting myself get excited till a launch date is announced is exactly what I would have put on here; there was no harshness whatsoever toward you, why would there be? What would even make you think that I or that anyone on here would?

I wonder if you misunderstood something you read? Because what I wrote could be read by everyone on this site and not one person would think it was an attack on you. I think you were just frustrated that not everyone was as excited about the interview as you were possibly, and maybe internalized some stuff going on in your own life and somehow it put you over the edge maybe?

I certainly hope it wasn't my PM that you are saying was ripping up at you, because it absolutely was nothing of the kind.

I’m curious about the future of new game systems and pc components with the ongoing issues with ram and other component shortages brought on by the AI boom. I’ve heard that Sony has pushed back their plans to release the PS6 later than they wanted, and Valve is running into snags with the Steam machine, which I was very interested in. I really hope this is all resolved soon.

The system requirements is very much a concern. I just finished purchasing components for a new PC build in anticipation so I should be good for 5-years or so.

I'm feeling excited for TES VI but I have so many games on my to-play list (mostly point'n'click games), so I won't mind if it gets released in a few years from now. My almost 8 years old laptop can't handle it anyway, so I'll buy a new one shortly before the game will be officially released - at least that's my current plan.
