Here's another Update! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Magic…that had to be it! Ryan thought. I mean didn’t I tell that Customs Agent that I knew three magic schools? But where did I learn them…Maybe if I concentrate hard I could remember any other spells I know…
This worked for a while, but Ryan was disappointed to lean that he only knew three spells: Hearth Heal, that healing spell he had used, Water Walking, well duh, and Water Breathing.
He started walking up the path to the foyada. As he came near the camp Ryan began to creep quietly towards it. In the camp he saw two of these little huts made of some type of skin and a guard at the entrance to each. Ryan , stupidly, walked to the main road and approached from that way.
“Hello,” Ryan said as he entered the camp. “I’m Ryan.”
“You n’wah!!!” Screamed both of the guards and they rushed at him with raised swords.
Ryan was so stunned that he almost got his head chopped off by the first ashlander, but he managed to get his axe up in time. Then he did an downward strike at each of them, an axe at each. They both put their swords up, but the one on the lefts sword broke and the axe buried itself deep in his left shoulder. Ryan kicked to one that was uninjured in the stomach and put his foot on the others chest and pushed to get the axe out of his shoulder. After he did this he felt a pain in his right arm and turned to find it viciously slashed by the other Ashlander.
Suddenly, completely by instinct, Ryan threw his axe at the Ashlander and followed in after it. The Ashlander blocked the flying axe with his left arm, which became disconnected from his body. He then was looking up at his body falling in front of a very shocked Ryan.
Ryan stood there for a moment and then dropped his axe to the ground and fell to his knees…
What have I done? Thought Ryan.
Ryan had killed before but nothing that was actually was intelligent, but what really disturbed him was the cold calculating way in which he had done it. Ryan got up grabbed his axes and returned to Scyda Neen. The rest of the camp would have to wait for another day. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Ryan walked back into Scyda Neen, he ran into Eldafire again.
“Well, have you taken care of those cursed Ashlanders? If you have it would be good to see some proof.” She said boldly.
“Has the value of life come so low here that all you can think about is the death of those you don’t understand? Yes, I did kill some of them, but not all and I will wait for the morrow to continue.” Ryan stated, just as bold.
“What?!? You didn’t kill them all? Do you know what they will do when they find their dead companions? They will kill the next traveler they find, in revenge, instead of ransoming them!” Eldafire stuttered.
“Listen, lady, in my whole entire life I have never been forced to even injure a fellow intelligent human being and you expect me to just suddenly become a cold hearted killer??? I said I will take care of them and I will, but not until the morning!” Ryan said forcefully. “Now, would you care to tell me if there is an Inn nearby where I can spemd the night?”
“I had no idea…I just supposed,” Said the High Elf, taken aback. “No, there is no Inn for you to stay at but I could let you share my house. I have an extra bed that you can use.”
“Thank you very much,” Said Ryan, taken aback, in turn, by Eldafire’s sudden kindness. “I will be at your house soon but first I must see if I can get some food.”
“That is not necessary,” She said. “I will provide food for you, as long as you keep your oath to take care of the Ashlanders.”
Ryan followed Eldafire to her house, which was right across from Arrille’s. He went in and saw immediately that, while it wasn’t fancy, it was home enough. Directly in front of him was a small table with benches, which reminded of picnic table from home, and to his right was a small fireplace that had a rather large pot in it that was bubbling and smell something like potatoes. To his left were a set of bunk beds and a larger fireplace, in which a small fire was burning merrily.
“Oh my, I almost forgot about my salt-rice and ash yam soup!” She said as she raced to take to pot off the fire. “Yes, this is my famous soup! It tastes like heaven! Even socious Ergalla says so, and he has extremely refined tastes! Here let me dish you some up and prepare your bed.”
Ryan tasted the very thick soup and it reminded him of the Dinty Moore canned soup his mother used to make, just without any meat. He wolfed it down just like he did at home. After Ryan was finished with his meal he noticed an interesting book called Notes on Racial Phylogeny, which caught his eye.
“Eldafire, would you mind if I read your book before going to sleep?” Ryan Queried.
“Mind? Of course not! You might as well take the book.” She replied. “I’m done with it and I don’t have enough space to keep it.”
Ryan thanked her and began to read the book. It taught him about the healing arts and how you must heal certain races certain ways in order for the most successful healing. It also taught him how to cure all the races of the most common of diseases.
When he was done reading, it was very late and Eldafire was already asleep so he just lay down in his bunk and immediately fell into a deep, healing, both physically and mentally, sleep. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
