The constructs weren't making it to the gates and York knew it. There simply weren't enough of them entering the city to get it open.
"So have you reconsidered joining our ranks Selenil?" York yelled over the clashing of metal
He attempted another strike at Selenil, this time for his leg but he kept ready for any blow his opponent might deal.
OOC:Isn't your blade enchanted now? If so...what is it's enchantment?

"You stupid fetcher! That is the second time you've broken my shield." York was very unhappy about his shield being destroyed again by the same man
His army wasn't doing well but the undead commanders had pushed to the gates and were trying to find a way to open them if they survived long enough.
York continued to circled Selenil, carefully watching for any attacks he might launch. A human soldier swung for his head but with a quick slash he fell to the ground lifeless.
"Half your army fights like they're drunk weakling." York laughed at Selenil's men even though they were destroying the constructs left and right

York watched Sel move, trying to find error in his defense. There were many York could see but perhaps they were meant to look that way as part of his strategy. Not likely but it was possible.
With the broken shield he could not be sure of himself, and with Sel's sharp blade, his pitiful strength wouldn't keep him from penetrating his armor.
"You look as if you've been waiting for this moment for a while now." York yelled at him as he probed at his chest carefully watching the sharp blade

York barely ducked under the blade as it fell upon him and stepped behind his opponent, bringing flat of his blade down towards him in an attempt to nock him to the ground.
"Don't be too sure of yourself Selenil." York said waiting to see what would happen
Something was wrong, the gates still hadn't been opened. It appeared as if the constructs were being surrounded at the gates but York wasn't close enough to tell.

York laughed knowing what he said was true, it would seem that his army was crumbling around him already, but the gates started to open slowly.
He stepped back as Selenil swung wildly at him,
"The gates are opening!" York smiled and looked at Selenil
York felt his armor pinch his left arm hard and suddenly his arm felt warm and cold at the same time, the warmth was his blood and the cold was the blade that had embedded itself in his arm. York pulled Selenil's blade from his arm and kicked at his stomach with his full strength.
How in the hell did he hit me?

York held his arm tightly as blood pushed through his fingers. He was enraged by Selenil's comment and swung wildly at him trying to catch him off guard.
His attacks were uncoordinated but his strength would make up for that if he ever hit the man.
Calm down York, you're leaving yourself open.
York slowed down a bit, and focused more on each swing of his blade, carefully trying to hit his opponent.
In a desperate attempt to at least wound his opponent he acted like he was going to swing high but brought it down a bit, swinging for Selenil's blade, trying to nock it down long enough to get a hit in.
OOC:Night...

QUOTE(Kiln @ Aug 19 2005, 02:18 AM) York held his arm tightly as blood pushed through his fingers. He was enraged by Selenil's comment and swung wildly at him trying to catch him off guard. His attacks were uncoordinated but his strength would make up for that if he ever hit the man. Calm down York, you're leaving yourself open.York slowed down a bit, and focused more on each swing of his blade, carefully trying to hit his opponent. In a desperate attempt to at least wound his opponent he acted like he was going to swing high but brought it down a bit, swinging for Selenil's blade, trying to nock it down long enough to get a hit in. OOC:Night... Sel was caught off guard for a second, but was soon falling into a defensive rythm. York knocked his blade down, and Sel desperately replaced his sword with his left foot. Now whether or not his boot could stop a blow was soon to be revealed.
