As I have seen, there is a voice if you leave Cyrodiil, saying: "You can't go further" or something like that and you get caught. I don't think that this border will satisfy a "frontier runner".
Some alternatives I was thinking about:
- Walls: The doors are unlockable and the levitation drink is not working anymore in the strip of 10 metres arond the walls. If you cheat, though, you will get stuck.
-A video: You see your character going some steps and then turning around.
Do you can think of more alternatives? If so, just write!

Yau, today, I just walked through my garden. Suddenly, I had to stop because somebody said I can't get further....nonsense.
I want walls!

QUOTE(Konradude @ Aug 15 2005, 03:18 PM) Maybe for their final game they should do an Arena again and just have all Tamriel? That would be totally awesome! Though, with high-end graphics and constantly moving NPC's it would kill my computer, if not just its fps. EDIT: They would have to have less NPC's if they want to make sure they do not go over-budget with such a large project. But, I would love something like that (not as a MMORPG, though!). QUOTE(ShogunSniper @ Aug 25 2005, 09:37 PM) make it so it would seem like you got lost in the woods and luckily ended up back at the beginning of them. kind of like you go to far, the screen comes back and a promt comes up like "You got lost and you found your way back" or "You passed out from searching(or something) and the local forester found you and brought you to his hut" and you woke up in a hut at the edge of the forest

hmm i see no problems with their current border system since it is supposed to allow for extentions through moding. and as long as it is used as it is intended to, then i see no reason for all these other fancy border systems.

QUOTE(ShogunSniper @ Aug 25 2005, 08:16 PM) same here but i imagine some ppl are very upset with it. i would get a bit annoyed if i was having the time of my gaming life hunting deer with meh super powerful bow and then all of a sudden bumped into an invisible barrier I think the devs are smart enough to code RAI so NPCs and critters avoid the walls. A Deer running a invisible wall looks...er. Weird.

QUOTE(ShogunSniper @ Aug 25 2005, 04:37 PM) or like morrowind but instead of endless ocean, an endless grassy plain. Something like this would be best, just add a invisable wall around it to make the NPCs not wander off into the sunset. Maybe a endless forest... It would be harder to make, but much more interesting.

could you imagine an eternal forest... you could go on a hunting expeditions then travel so far out that you would never find civilization again. or at lest not for a few months.
