Alrighty, House Wars during the collapse. 3 factions, 1 neutral 1 evilish 1 good, but they all have their falts and their own territory. I like this idea MUCH better. House wars it is! Sign me up for Hlaalu!
*

5 actually.

House Redoran

House Hlaalu

House Telvanni

House Dres

and

House Indoril.

Dres and Indoril are entirely based on the mainland however. So thats the only time you'll hear from them. Though there are alot of Indorils in the temple/Ordinators.

Perhaps the House Wars could be a RESULT of the Empire's collaspe.

As otherwise the legion *will* step in stop any open warfare. With the Empire aroudn the only house wars are quiet skirmishes in the ashlands and assassinations, like in morrowind.
s mainland and Vvardennfell are large enough...  biggrin.gif

Or, we could make the Legion another faction to side with, for characters such as Falx.

The legion being in collapse Hlaalu has abondoned them and thinks of them as a weak allie that will only bring them trouble. The Legion whom everyone now hates not only is cut off from their province where their power lies but everyone on Vvardenfell views them as a nuisince and wishes to destroy those who they had formerly been ruled by. Since the Tribunal crashed (let's just say Vivec is dead too) the priests are listless and Ordinators or idle. The ORdinators started to fight amongst themselves and most are gone, but large numbers of priests took up with Redoran while others just became hermits or swore off priesthood all together. House Dres and Indoril being powerless in Vvardenfell may or may not wish to get in on the action.

The Thievs guild has withdrawn from Morrowind altogether because they face bigger problems at home. The Warriors guild is busting at the seems and the Mages guild is not as powerful without Imperial backing and is being assaulted by House Hlaalu. The Cammona Tong are stronger than ever and may actually be exerting force on the events taking place on Vvardenfell and they may have their own small towns.

Just so long as not everyone in Vivec city loses faith in Vivec...

Unless we want a steaming crator where Vivec was. As no faith in Vivec = Ministry of truth hitting city at terminal velocity. blink.gif

Seriously, when Vivec stopped that he esentially 'paused' it in place so if faith is lost in him, the thing un-pauses and continues straight into the city. *booom*....

That should exactly be it! Nice poitn Aki, faith in Vivec was lost, the ministry crashed and brought the death of the leaders of the Tribunal as well as the ministry of Justice and Wisdom leaving the Ordinators on Vvardenfell leaderless as well as the priests. There being no more leadership from the temple and the Empire being vitrually powerless and unable to exert control over anything the people of Morrowind have no other leaders to look to but the houses. The houses being so hateful of eachother and having a recent huge burst of power from all their support are now concentrating on ruling Vvardenfell and possibly replacing the Empire.

Telvaani is under new leadership by a new younger man who has burning ambitions for his house to rise to power. Hlaalu is ruled by a new man as well since Duke Vedam being no longer a Duke has been ousted by his followers and replaced by a younger man hungry for power and conquest. Redoran's former leader was killed in a mob after his corrupt ways were revealed to the public and he was replaced by a more militant man yearning for war and the control of all of Vvardenfell.

Thus the stage has been set, new younger men fueling the fire of ambition in their followers have set out to conquer Vvardenfell. These men may or may not be players (I don't think the leaders being players is a good idea). The players may be important people in their faction, lower level people doing the work they have been told, neutral people seeking to end the house violence that is tearing apart Morrowind, or supporters of the Legio seeking to restore its former glory.

I think the houses would also like control of the mainland as well.

'cause you know. Its nicer and has nice farmland in Dres' territory (being so close to the Black Marsh the soil is fertile).

Vvardenfell has some nice places but its mostly ashland.... blink.gif

I think we should stay in familiar territory in Vvardenfell. Making it all of Morrowind is a little too broad and tends to have less focus and familiarity. We can just make some reason as to why the main land isn't being conquested. Such as the empire still has some weak control of the area and they are doing their best to cut off all transportation and communication to Vvardenfell leaving the inhabitants stranded and self sufficent thus giving the Houses there even more power since the people's only hope is from protection provided by the houses.

Well, if it is supposed to be a "continuation" of AMU, then Vivec(the guy) is dead, along with Vivec(the city). And I assume that the ministry of truth is gone as well.

One or the other; joint leading almost never works.

Edit: sorry for double post, I thought I edited that last one to say that....

I don't think we should continue off of AMU, lets start with a clean slate. AMU was just sort of a provate thing. After this one is done I don't think we should continue it, because one way or another all of Vvardenfell will be changed.

But the after-effects of AMU give a perect set-up for this house war - vvardebfell is in shambles, and the empire is worrying more about the destroyed capital than Vvardenfell, I'm sure.

Nah I think we have got this all figured out. After I get off I will start writing some ideas for the RP and I will run them by you when I get back on tomarrow. I think the leadership thing is great.

Alright, Aki has agreed to co-own the RP with me. I'm busy alot and Aki could take full control when I am gone. When I am here (which is most the time) we will work on it collaberate sometimes but mostly me and Aki will be controlling the major actions of the houses and focusing on particluar houses of our choosing.

i'd like to join, but could there be like an ashland faction to, like maybe their goal is just to return to the old ways, and they are willing to step in, and force it, while all the other houses are at war. They'd be like run by four differant people, considering ther is four differant tribes, and one of the chiefs could try to unite them, and make a new power
