En'Fel

They passed out of site of Valenvaryon without incident. Ganfi attempted to persuade En'Fel to stop, as it was now deeply into dusk and visibility was becoming worse. En'Fel, however, argued the moon was bright tonight and they had a late start in the morning so they would stop at the urshilaku camp. Furthermore, he said, they would wait until the morning to present their dilema to Urshilaku, as it would greatly lessen their chances of sleeping in a bed that night.

They found the Urshilaku camp about three times the size it used to be. Many of the Ashlanders that wandered around camp that night wore armor and wielded their weapons, like guards. Spears and bows lay on the sides of Tents.

Many of the Ashlanders stared uneasily at them as they entered the camp. En'Fel advised his followers to wait outside as he entered the Ashkhan's yurt.

"Sul-Matuul, I presume?" he asked.

"You are a Zainab warrior," Sul-Matuul responded, away in his bed.

"I ask for your blessing to stay the night in your camp."

"And without it?" Sul-Matuul wondered.

"I will leave," En'Fel answered.

"Would you?"

"No," En'Fel admitted.

"No, I can tell, you do not take no. Stay the night."

"Thank you," En'Fel bowed, and left.

"We have the night," he informed his comapnions. The four of you find a tent that is willing to host a party of six. Akar, you must come with me to the Wise woman's yurt."

Kiln looked at him for a moment and walked back to where the boy was sitting.

"I'll be back soon. I'd like it if you'd stay here, but if you must leave then go ahead." Kiln said to the boy

He walked back to Val and stood there for a moment, looking him over.

If he tries anything...there are enough of my men to protect themselves...

Kiln left the fort and led him some distance away to their base, knowing that he'd made a dangerous decision to bring him here.

He opened the door and stepped into the underground area, watching Val carefully as he led him deeper into the tunnels. Kiln was annoyed that there were no guards in the tunnelway to keep watch.

As he led Val into the first room he looked at the wooden floor made from cheap planks. The walls and ceiling of this place were hollowed out dirt like in any tunnel. There was a wooden platform rising above the rest where he could hear a few of his men talking, he climbed the makeshift stairway and spotted his captain.

"Sir, you've returned." the captain said somewhat surprised, they hadn't expected him back for some time

"Why are there no guards in the tunnels West? Who is keeping people from wandering in here?" Kiln asked in an annoyed tone

"Sir, they're just being pulled for a break...they will return shortly...I am sorry." West said

"Don't worry about that...it's not all that important." Kiln said

Val came up the stairs and West pulled his blade. Kiln noticed him and held his arm out in front of his captain.

"Hold, this man is not to be harmed. Explain to him our situation and he is to be instated as a low ranking officer." Kiln demanded

"Sir, may I speak with you in private?" West asked

Kiln stepped a few feet away and stared at his officer.

"Who is this guy? Can we trust him?" he asked seriously

"It is my wish that he be instated as an officer." Kiln said

"But sir, what if he's a spy for the houses? I don't think we should..." he asked

"It is not your job to make decisions for me West...I respect you as a friend and officer but this is not your call." Kiln said

"Yes sir, I appologise...I will send him with the others." West said

"Good, make sure he knows exactly whats going on...I'll be leaving again soon. I have business to tend to." Kiln said

Kiln turned and left, back to the fort to speak with the boy. After a few minutes he entered the fort to check if he was still there.

OOC:Sorry about the length, this one had to be long.

Akar

What was this place? All of a sudden, he got special invitations in every camp. Something seemed amiss...

"Fine." he said, following En'fel.

Val approached the man to listen to the situation.

An officer? This was unexpected.

It was indeed unexpected. Val was hoping to see a large camp, consisting of well maintained tents and patrolled by guards britling with weapons and armor. Not a dirt cave with a few dozen people as starved as himself...

OOC: Will dissapear for a while. I might not post again for some time but I guess we'll just have to be patient and see. smile.gif

Falx

"Go ahead Abulard, send the package to Megil. You know where, the hall of justice."

Abulard promptly deliverd the goods and the letter.

Falx poked the fire a bit with his fire stick and sat down, staring methodically into it, "So.. it begins.."

Raxle O'Conner

The son set down into the shadow of Red Mountain, casting an mad glare across Gnisis.

"Go in pairs of two, move silently and undetected." Raxle paused for a moment, "Are you all ready?"

The group of ten nodded their hands in unanymous agreement, "Good, let's go.."

Demetrii and Holgar' took the front, an odd couple but extremely effiecient. Holgar, being the sneakest of the pair, aproached the first guard. Whos back was turned to them.

Whether the sudden surge of adreline finally kicked in, or he just went crazy in his footing, the small imperial man slipped on a rather large rock, causing quite a bit of noise. The guard took notice of the sound and went to call for help, but before the sound could leave his throat, a spear from Holgar's side peirced right into the guards heart.

The fallen Demetrii got back up and waved the rest of the group up. Raxle called him over, "Nice job hamster lover, way to fall on your face."

Demetrii grinned, "What are you talking about, we planned that"

"Whatever, get everyone to the guard tower. And remeber, there are at least two more guards there, try not to get us all killed?"

Endris stepped lightly in the manor, circling the room. He eyed everyone and from judging by how the Ansei reacted earlier, the woman who Endris originally attacked was Serene. His invisibility spell was a strong one, it would last for a long while as long as it wasn't interupted.

Jonacin stood still, ready for anything. He knew the assassin had cast an invisibility spell rather than chameleon, so he couldn't do anything but move around, and he also knew he hadn't left the room. It was only a matter of time now

En'Fel entered the Wise woman's yurt and looked around.

"What may I do for you?" asked Nibani Maesa.

"I need consel," En'Fel informed her.

"Oh, oh yes of course. Please, sit down."

En'Fel looked at Akar, the moved over and sat down infront of Nibani.

"You look quite distrot," said Nibani.

"It's... my people. We are at war. I don't know what to do and I try to be strong for my companions but it seems impossible. I need help, and no one will say yes, no one will help me," he rambled.

"Well, perhaps it is what Zainab deserves for refusing to help Urshilaku during our famine."

"You are doing quite well now."

"Yes, but not with your help."

"No, I know, but I mean, we can't defeat the Telvanni by ourselves."

"You don't have to do. Listen closely. Winning this war is your personal agenda, and your people's. All you have to do, however, is survive and rebuild your culture."

"But war, war is going to sweep across the lands."

"And who told you this?" Nibani asked.

"Oh... I guess I told myself."

"Precisely. You are a strange spirit, one who feeds on conflict, and though I understand your request for help, you are doing it for yourself, not for your people."

"Well, you have men to spare. They burned our food, we have gorilla warriors risking their lives everyday to harvest the crops and slay some animals. If we could have more men, we could push the boundary back."

"How many of Zainab are left?"

En'Fel considered this. "Forty to fifty maybe."

"Then perhaps in a year we will have room for you. That is what I can convince our ashkhan to give you."

"We will not retreat from--"

"You see? We will not involve ourselves in your war. We will extend a hand for your survival, but not your war."

En'Fel looked like he was about to explode, but he calmed himself. "Akar, consult with her about your mother. I'll be asleep wherever our friends found a place." He left Akar.

"Sorry about that." Akar said to Nibani. "He is going through a troubled time."

He stood up and began walking out of the yurt.

"He is right though. You don't need visions from spirits to come to the conclusion that has has come to."

With that said, he followed En'fel outside. "What now?" he asked. "Maybe if we could find someone that is a friend to some of the tribes, then we could have him speak to the leaders..." he suggested.

"No, she's right," En'Fel whispered, as though it was difficult to say. "If I were really concerned with my people's survival, I would allow them to retreat here, and give the Grazelands that my people have lived at since the beggining of time.

"You know, before the Dunmer ruled this land and split it into factions, and before Red Mountain spread diseases, there were many more Ashlander's and we were much larger. There were tribes all over Vvardenfel. Then the "civilized" Dunmer started towns on this island, and they squeezed us. Zainab has held onto the Grazelands. Zainab has been a strong, proud people. Our Ashkhan is a fat fool but our culture is the richest of all the Ashlanders, and we are the proudest fighters in all of Morrowind. I don't want to see that age end. I am clinging to that idea. Things must change though, and the time of Zainab appears to be ending.

"Anywasy, you were not in there long enough to receive some real counsel about your mother, so what is it you really want? I owe you a debt. Please, just tell me what you want."

Murmandamus
Murmandamus had been on a regular patrol when he spotted a thief trying to break into a shop. The thief was fairly inept, and was doing a very bad job of it. He grabbed the thief and restrained him. "If you insist on breaking the law, you should at least try to be a little less conspicous" he sadi to the man as he hauled him off to the Hall of Justice. When the man was safely in the hands of the Ordinators, he went to repost to Megil.
"Murmandamus reporting sir. I apprehended a thief attempting to break into a shop, and he is currently in custody in the Hall of Justice"

Cal watched as everybody left, and sighed in desperation. "Oh, the hell how boring it is.. I guess I'll just train or something in the meantime. I still haven't gotten that magicka infuse spell 100% yet..", Cal said, and unstrapped his sword, and focused.

Cal closed his eyes and started to recite what his uncle taught him. "Draw out power from inside. Picture the flames in your hands. Spread the flames onto the sword. Control it." Cal opened his eyes and sped towards a wall, and slashed the sword at it. It didn't break through, but it did leave a deep cut. "Still not good enough, I guess. More practice.. Ah well.", Cal thought and decided not to practice the magicka infusion, and just practice normal swordarts. Cal swung the sword with controlled, but not that powerful swings, and swung a little harder for each time. "Oh, how long can it take? ... This is so .. dull.", Cal thought while swinging his sword.

Akar

"I didn't ask about my mother because there is nothing to learn from a wise woman. How would this one person know something of her? There is quite a chance I'm on the wrong continent to find her anyway; I tracked down the first name, and all I got was some famous hero. I fear my mother is dead, and I began searching too late."

He ignored the question about the debt; he didn''t really know what to say. En'fel wouldn't let the debt go out of pride, and akar didn't know what to ask for.

OOC: time teh wrap up the assassination.

Endris positioned himself directly behind Serene and drew his sword, making it visible. He thrust his wakizashi at the back of Serene's neck hoping to kill her quickly.

Jonacin saw the flash of movement from the corner of his eye, and swung his blade to block. He caught the assassins blade less than a hairsbredth from Seren's neck, and then grabbed the wazikashi with his spirit arm. He gripped tightly, and snapped the blade in two. "Surrender or die, assassin" he growled, placing his sword at the assassins neck, drawing a thin line of blood where it broke the skin

"Akar. If your heart brought you here, there is something here for you to find. Whether or not your mom is alive or dead, if you came here, then there's something here for you."

He headed back to the yurt where his companions were already asleep in. "Tomorrow, we walk to Ald-ruhn. Erabeninsum will not help us either, so we shall be entering the culture of the settled Dunmer. You are... 'civilized' Akar, so you will be leading us when we reach Ald-ruhn. Try adn help us blend in. If have nothing more to say, I will see you in the morning."

"Why is everyone breaking my swords?" Endris asked jokingly. Not feeling very threatened by Jonacin's blade, he threw the handle of what was left of his wakizashi on the ground. "You know, I had a feeling that this was goin to be harder than what it was cracked up to be. Well friend, surrender is not an option for me so I suppose I would have to go with death."

Endris smiled and swiftly reached up with his right hand and grabbed a hold of Jonacin's Shehai's handle--stopping him from chopping his head off-- and with his left hand landed a punch on jonacin's face. He jumped back, loaded a bolt into his crossbow as quickly as he could and drew a dagger. He held his crossbow and his dagger at the same time, ready to fight or shoot.

"I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but you've made your choice" Jonacin said to the man. He moved to shield Serene with his body. "If you want to kill her, you have to kill me. And unless you kill me instantly, which is unlikely at best, you wont survive to make the second attack on her"

"Protecting your love to the end? That is noble of you. Noble but foolish," Endris fired his crossbow at Jonacin, not aiming for anything vital, just trying to hit him so the poison could take effect. He then charged at Jonacin with his dagger and thrust it at his chest.
