Marksman for me. Who wants to have their pretty skin sliced up when they could deal with the enemy from a safe distance? QUOTE(Zelda_Zealot @ Sep 27 2005, 02:09 PM) A mace is a mace, whether it has spikes or not. And one with a chain would be called a "Morning Star". A morning-star is a very specific type of flail. All the weapons with a chain are flails. A morning star refers to a flail having one single round ball with spikes. There are also flails that have multiple chains, flails with solid balls (no spikes), flails that have caltrop-like ends, flails with rings, flails with cylindrical weights.... QUOTE(Justinj115 @ Nov 3 2005, 10:34 PM) ...short baldes do the least damage compared to the other weapons (besides fist of course). does the game give you any advantages with stealth for using a short blade that i dont know? Not specifically for stealth, but short blades have a much greater attack speed than all the "big and heavy" weapons. With the big weapons you have to reach back for a second before you can do any real damage. The short blades all have high minimum damage, and a very high attack speed, meaning that you can do near-full damage even if you click as fast as you can. This is especially nice if your short blade is enchanted. They're not so good for sneak attacks, but very good for wading in and taking down an enemy with a frenzy of stabbing.

When you are in Tel Fyr, visit the wizard (the guy in that lovely daedric armor) somewhere left u can find a small chest with lock lvl 100. when u have unlocked it, u find a daedric amulet or something. Now save the game. Equip the amulet. u will be transported to a daedric temple. Defeat the guy and u get a daedric crescent. (two-handed long blade with paralyse) Ill try to sen u a pic.

I always go with longblades, although occasionaly i have a character that has marksman too. That's not too frequent though, because i hate marksman at lower levels

Yeah, that's why if I ever use Marksman, I make it a major skill.

QUOTE(King Death @ Nov 19 2005, 06:09 PM) Yeah, that's why if I ever use Marksman, I make it a major skill. thats what you do. make it a major and then take the 250 (I think thats the number) iron arrows in the warehouse right next to the census and exercise office(or what ever it is) and I think there might be a bow in there. If not buy one with the money you get from selling all the stuff in there or you can wait 'till pelgaid and either buy a bonemold bow or steal a steel bow from the fort. either way you can basically kill any monsters and low level bandits with that combo. (Lvl 30 marksman, 250 iron arrows, and the bow)

QUOTE(Momaw @ Nov 20 2005, 11:43 PM) Marksman isn't any harder to improve than other skills. *shrug* Or any more expensive. Personally I don't have any "gaming moral" objections to training a skill to maybe 20 or 25, where you can actually start to learn on your own somewhat. There's thousands of free arrows laying around, and plenty of slow enemies you can practice on, so... Yeah, but I'll have my long blade at 100 and both blunt and axe at about 75, and I just never feel like wasting my time getting my marksman up

I figure I am the only person who would vote for it but where are the spears? You should at least have it there.....I love Illkurak when I got it I used it for most the rest of the main quest and then some. I hate all the other spears as a general rule though...so I have to equally say short blades, espeically glass, I don't like having a weapon lower my loot count b/c of high weight.
