I found some of my dad's old music lying around on the comp, in a file which I had forgotten about, and found some songs I liked. Thus far, I've been primarily listening to:

Obviously, being a fairly typical male in at least some ways still, the first four lines interest me. And I like it when a person can critisize themselves (lines 8 and 9), it's good for you.

I'm a hard-rock headbanger at times, I can't help but love this song. And there are numerous cases in our area of councelors telling "the people in charge" about things that are mentioned in confidence, in supposedly confidential meetings. hasn't happened to me, because I avoid speaking to councelors unless absolutely necesary, in which case I talk the same way I do to my parents. (limited to *shug* *shake head* *nod* "Yeh" "Meh" "Neh") So I'm not at risk for that, but others that I know have had that happen to them. Plus my inherent distrust in those who have power of any kind over me. So I have to like the mental help part as well as the headbanger part.

Dunno why I like this one, really. I don't like most relationship songs, but I like the rythm to this one.

With the exception of the last one, these songs are much lighter than my usual industrial/metal/goth/electronica style music that I usually listen to. I've noticed I've been a bit happier (not much, but just enough that I managed to notice) since I've been listening to this stuff. I still like the music from before, but it has it's time and place. When I'm POed, ticked off, and I have serious problems going on, then it's time to bring out the heavy music. But when everything's going fine, happier rock, more lighthearted stuff, works much better for me.

Yeah, I think it may have been. My friends certain its Pantera but I really want to find out exactly.

The song is If I were president, the artist who wrote it is Wyclef Jean. Also, I just found out that Wyclef Jean did a song with the kids form south park. what a coincidence eh?

Can't get any better than a russian combo with a nigerian singer doing south american style music! Discovered these while checking a well-known online bookstore for records of a certain other very obscure band, from Berlin, called 17 Hippies.
