You serious? Ugh, I just don't understand the idea of eating raw fish... Tasted sushi once, almost had to spit it out, man, what's the deal?

I wonder if I'd survive in Japan, was actually considering living in Japan for a semester or a year, but now I've shortened the plan to just a month or so. Seems like a really wierd but interesting country.

Not all Sushi is raw. Also, Japan's diet isn't purely Seafood. You can get Burgers and fries, cookies, umm, Burgers.

I know, I'm just messing around. tongue.gif I've been checking around several sites on the net about Japan and it appears food isn't really a problem, it seems that premade food is cheaper that if you cook it yourself, most of the time blink.gif.

Mmm, Japanese TV dinners.

Everyone been watching the Olympics lately? Go Canada! Go Canada is undefeated in both men's and woman's hockey and it is believed we're playing Switzerland next, so I wish all the Swiss people of our forum a good game and good luck. Interesting fact, the Olympic white Canada Toques have sold out completely. Every country they've been shipped to, they have been bought out of stock.

I'm not a doctor or anything, but I don't see why a couple of aspirins or paracetamol once in a while would be hurtful. However, I you have the habit to take an aspirin everytime you got a slight bit of pain your natural defencesystem would eventually retire and you would become sick a lot more often. It's the same if you never let yourself get a bit sick, like never eating something were it's date of expirement(sp?) has passed (this happenes a lot here in Sweden), the defencesystem will eventually say "why the heck am I doing here? This dude never give us any work" and retire. This, from personal experience.
You can/could actually run up  walls? ohmy.gif
*

There are more things that expired food that test your defense systems, but I have also seen what you are describing as a theory to be true. And yes I can run up walls, you have to get a running start and then move you momentum into a vertical position....I used to be able to go up about four steps or about ten feet above the ground. now I can barely get the second foot planted before I am falling because I can get the running speed I used too because I couldn't run while I was healing.....lest I risk more serious injury

QUOTE(Red @ Feb 16 2006, 11:42 PM)
Yeah, its probably the terrible weather most of North America is having. Us humans seem to have alot of sensitivity towards the weather system. I only really have migranes during strange weather, like these dragging winters and hot snaps.

I'll take some Green Tea with a nice plate of Ika Sushi. Mmm, Squid.

I think maybe it is like a arthitis on the neck thing? sounds similar in a way. I have some arthitis in my neck from some whiplash when I was a kid and a
"Sun TV" van hit the back of our car.

I love sushi, sashimi, rice, real ramen (not the salty, bland, stuff that was ruined by the mass production theories of America and the assembly line......it's all the same line of thought....but that is the form I can usually afford as an unemployed person..I am a professional college student.)

I got last Friday off for the wind! Hurray!

My personal headache cure probably wouldn't work for anybody else. It's called duct tape. smile.gif My headaches come entirely from my brother and sister, who never stop fighting. Therefore, anything that causes them to shut up works as a temporary cure. So far, I've tried bubble gum (hard to talk/yell while chewing), earplugs (on myself), loud music (for some reason, certain music doesn't give me headaches no matter how loud I play it, so this actually works), but I haven't actually duct taped their mouths shut. smile.gif So far, the best cure is to stay at my dad's house, instead of my mom's. Pretty hard to hear them at that range. smile.gif

I get sick from time to time, but not particularly often. I'm not sure if that's because I don't get sick or because I define 'sick' differently than other people do. To me, I'm not sick unless I can't see, can't speak, can't walk, can't breath, or am having hallucinations. So most of the time that I miss school, it's because I'm tired. The only sickness I get particularly often is pinkeye, which I actually get about as often as a cold or whatever.

Bofra-I had won a chance to go to Japan, for this Student Ambassador program. I couldn't, though, because it was too expensive. sad.gif ($6000) I felt embarrassed even going to the meeting, it was in the rich part of town. Everyone was wearing suits and ties and nice jackets and shined shoes, arrived in fancy cars. There were a few other people from my area there, so it wasn't like we were all alone, but they left pretty fast, too. All the middle class people were out of there the second the meeting was over. But I almost got a chance to go to Japan for two weeks.

You don't have sushi restaurants were you live? There everywere over here, it's kind of "cool" to eat sushi, huh.gif, all this trend stuff....

Kindred: Oh, that was expensive! For my trip I was planning on staying a month but in some sort of "guest houses" for foreigner only, you live very small and with a lot of other people, most of the time with several families living permanently there, but it's cheap biggrin.gif. You get ahold of one of those room practically in the middle of Tokyo for not much (about 500$/month).

Eww, trendy food. I eat at a 100% Japenese run Sushi store and order in Japenese. I've been eating Japenese since I was five so trendyness isn't an issue. Too bad about the Japan thing Kindred, thats really terrible.

Eh, I got over it fast. There was no way my family could afford it, so I couldn't go. Besides, ounce for ouce, that six grand would do me more good in my college fund. The trip did sound cool. I found the site for it. Discover the Land of the Rising Sun. All kinds of stuff normal tourists don't get to do, plus the prestige that comes with being in the Student Ambassadors. (makes certain job interviews go much smoother, to say the least) It didn't come out to an even 6 grand, it was like $5750, including the special insurance that lets you not sign the waiver saying that they aren't responsible if I die. That insurance was like $500 on it's own, so maybe I could have gone if I hadn't paid for that. smile.gif

Probably for the best that I'm not going anyways. I'm still traumatized by all the rich people who were there, and the meeting was only an hour or two; I have no idea how I'd last two weeks. smile.gif (joking, obviously; rich people aren't that scary)

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Thats the sound I made when I read that. I hope they come near me, and by near I mean within a country or two. I couldn't make the Boston (I think it was Boston) because I didn't have the time to plan and it was unlikely anyways. Oh well, I'll see it, someday. Someday. Someday.

I got a beautiful brown leather jacket that really suits me. Real straigh and professional looking, and when it wears out in a few years, I'll cut out the elbows, put them on a tweed jacket and teach university tongue.gif .

So how is everyone except Wolfie tongue.gif ?

Oh yeah? Well, I have some tricks up my sleeve, like empty threats and begging the Admins to make me a mod before said POWAR is used. Beat that, Man Wolf!

To le Minque: Well, that sucks. You should march right up to the highest ranking official you know of and demand that he gives you a high paying cushy job! And if he says no, I'll have some "kind words" with him. Kind words like please and thank you.

Work sux, i know.....qoute from some song...and a reality

Last two times I acctually had a "job" I lost money in the process, that is why I am a professional student now. I got hit by a car at one, giving me about $1,500 in bills coming home from work at a job I made $800 in totality, granted that about 300 of said bills were paid by the state, and it would have been muchmuch much worse if I hadn't had medical insurance at the time.
The job before that the cost of operations just didn't work out to be less than the income generated from it, so that job I quit after bout 2 months or so....I liked the work...just not the pay.
