Well, there is a lot of "cool" stuff you'd like to do, but for the first thing I'll do is definatly check for a guild that suites my taste and join it, at the side of following the main quest obiously.

The absolutely first thing I'll do when I get out of the tutorial dungeon is exploring my surroundings. Just walking around, admiring the views while mayhap searching for a place to eventually call home.

Wander the forests, follow a river, climb a mountain, browse the shops of Imperial City... Also, start checking out new armours, misc items, etc. Maybe run into someone's home and use Physics to trash the place and throw all their cups on the floor. biggrin.gif

Don't think so. I think they just clean it all up when you leave the cell for 3 game days.
I'd be great if they did get angry but it'd be too easy to do by accident.

Steal stuff of course, which might just include a horse, and i might ride around on that horse till i find the unicorn. then ride the unicorn back and join a guild all the while showing off my unicorn and stolen goods. then go steal some more after i kill a couple inocent people. thats my plan for the first 20mins.

I'm 99.9% sure that they do not get angry. I think I remember some dev saying that it would be a real pain for the clumsy player if they got people mad all the time they accidently bumped onto a table or something.

Back to topic: What's this obsession with everyone wanting to go around and explore as the first thing you do? I mean, you'll probably get loads of time to do that while doing faction-, plot- or freelance-quests! Besides, if you want to be at least a little bit of a roleplayer you shoud get yourself thinking, would you really just walk around and admire the landscape the first thing you do after escaping from a long time in jail and just seeing the Emperor get murdered?! I would certainly not smile.gif.

Edit: I totally agree that Oblivion is stunningly beautiful, but I mean ALL of Oblivion is, and since you are actually IN the game I don't see why to specifically spend time just watching the scenery... Just my opinion..

Now that you mention it Bofra i probably wont explore the scenery first. Wherever we start off i will try to find side quests to get a little bit extra coin so i can prepare for later by getting good armour/weapons. Does anyone know where you start off

Yeah, Bofra you're right...
I may aswell jump straight into exploring the city and looking for Dungeons to train in rather than staring at the Sun. But how do we know if we'll be awe struck in exploration, like many of the lucky people who got to review the game. They got out of the sewers and just fell under the spell of the swaying trees and the flowing rivers.

That's true, but on the other hand I believe the reviewers like to tell people what they want to hear. Besides I believe most of them were actually doing other stuff besides admiring the view, after all they only got 4 hours to play, not much time for a pic-nic walk in the woods .. tongue.gif

LOL!
Yeah, I'll gaze for a second or two... Then I'll just have a look around as I jog to town.

All I know is, you're on a hill, overlooking Imperial City and the waters around it. Not sure on exact location.
I may have sub-conciously read it somewhere, or I may have made it up, but I think the exit of the Tutorial is South West of Imperial City on a mountainside, and the Prison where you start is in the Fort in the city.
I wonder... Is the exit to the dungeon where you have to sneak back into prison on the Dark Brotherhood quest or would the secret passage be re-sealed? So you have to do ultimate espionage and sneak past the guards through the front door.

oh oh oh that is kinda like the list I have

1st- buy a computer (last summer)
2nd- buy game
3rd- try to play game and fail
4th- finally afford to get upgrades
5th- now I acctually play the game but was too poor for really good upgrades so it will still be at not-max graphics. and still love it and get addicted, but I will drool less than I would have if I had any money....on the plus side this means I will die from dehydration, forgetting to get up for water, later and get to see more of the game before sweet sweet poetic death.

I decided not to plan it out but just take as much time as I want in the dungeon and then do whatever my impulse predicts.

In other words... I'll probably kill a drifter.

... Or a deer...
Anyway, we were saying before how you wouldn't stare at the scenery if it was Role Playing, but who knows how long the character's been in that dark cold cell? He may enjoy a little refreshing walk.

You got a point, but I still can't confound me with that.. I try to put myself in that position and I'd probably be very happy of the fresh air and bright sky but also VERY hungry and longing for some clothes to change to. The only place were I would find something like that would be at a guild, since as far as I could remember from before the time in jail that was the place were you could get some fairly easy money. However I would probably walk rather slowly from the exit of the jail-cave to the citywalls, thanking whatever gods saved me for every single breath of air I can take. smile.gif
