With some hesitation, I have added a non-carnivore food to my diet. A non-carnivore food that is, however, recommended by a few YT carnivore influencers: Apple Cider Vinegar. In my case, WhiteHouse Organic, raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar with "MOTHER". I mix roughly one-to-two spoonfuls with a little salt in a glass of water, then drink it with a straw (to protect tooth enamel) just prior to preparing breakfast. This has numerous theoretical health benefits, the most important to me being
"supporting gut health, insulin sensitivity, and overall metabolic function." My hope is that this regimen will at least partially compensate for the negative side effects of the antibiotics treatments I've been on since my serious illness of early 2025.
All that said, the stuff is absolutely hideous!

I hate hate hate downing it. Such is life.
On a more positive note, I came across a fellow in Walmart's meat section who played up "chuck-eye" steaks, which he claimed to be tasty and, for beef, relatively affordable. I decided to give 'em a try, buying one two-pack. Had it for lunch that day. Absolutely yummy! Truth to tell, I think them tastier than the bottom-of-the-barrel rib eyes and New York Strips I used to buy before they became too expensive. Sadly, chuck-eye is too costly to become a daily staple. I can manage one two-pack a week, but otherwise rely on pork steaks, ground lamb and chicken breasts for the remainder of my lunches.
