Hey, next x-mas is only 4 or so months away... This one took (slightly) longer, methinks.

I would love to play a char trying to create his own Empire and quelling the resistance and other competitors. Maybe we could all work for this man at first when he was but a small faction of a handful of men and eventually work him and us up to a large scale nation. Eventually by then the other factions would have gotten together and formed their own nations, then the entire field changes from quests roam battling to political intruige and wars as well as making alliances biggrin.gif A fun time will be had by all!

this idea requires ALOt of people, unless everyone wants to be representative of an individual group.

That could also work, and it would work fine with the amount of people we will have. Some people could direct NPC helpers but mostly the PCs would be the special group, recovering items, eliminating particluarly strong threats, ect.

I think the Empire in Collapse idea would be very epic laugh.gif It would really be a change of pace, many different scenarios could play out. I love the idea of everyone working for a particular faction trying to restore peace on Tamriel as the New Age Empire and everyone doing it a different way. Quests and Eliminations could give way to wars and tactical missions. I don't see why people don't jump at the mention of this idea!

We need to play in new territory. Vvardenfell is old and exhausted, lets make a new area where me make the rules. It looks as we want it too not like the pre-rendered image of Vvardenfell so burned into our minds.

i think vvanderfel is so common is -because- we have in image of it in our mind. it would take even longer to get this started if we came up with our own world, and then we would make arguments like "ithought this town was west? no its east" etc.

Exactly my point. This image of Tamriel would be our own, no more time will be spent arguing over geography.

It's his point too.

With making up your own world, arguments over geography occur because there really IS no geography, and nobody knows where they are.

Ooh ha! Touche! I see your point, possibly this struggle could take place on Vvardenfell then. Taking over the island might be a bit more difficult than some people may think. The island is famous for making and breaking factions and many a war has taken place on it's blackened lands.

Perhaps the House Wars could be a RESULT of the Empire's collaspe.

As otherwise the legion *will* step in stop any open warfare. With the Empire aroudn the only house wars are quiet skirmishes in the ashlands and assassinations, like in morrowind.

Oh. And for Future Referance, heres a map of the known World: click

So we know some geography. happy.gif

I'd rather like to stick to morrowind. MW's mainland and Vvardennfell are large enough... biggrin.gif

Alrighty, House Wars during the collapse. 3 factions, 1 neutral 1 evilish 1 good, but they all have their falts and their own territory. I like this idea MUCH better. House wars it is! Hlaalu is somewhat neutral but ruthlessly mercenary and will do anything to better their standing and get a few extra coins but with the Empire collapsed and money worthless Hlaalu has lost a valuable allie and made many enemies from their Empire support and with most their holdings being in gold Hlaalu has suffered a mage hit but they retain their many mines. Redoran is theoreticly good but they can be closed minded and controlled by rules and regulations and have an utter lack of mercy being natural warriors they are fitted for war but with the collapse of the Tribunal they lost a majot allie but at large are still very powerful and with most their holdings being in weapons they are cut out for war. The Telvaani are evlilish but mostly are uncaring and they have their few rogue good guys, unfortunatly they can be condescending towards all and just about everyone hates them and they have no allies and this leaves them weak, but they have holdings in powerful magic items and a number of extremely powerful mages number in their midsts.
