QUOTE(flowerboom @ Feb 11 2013, 04:00 PM)
I am worried about how more and more so women are being degraded by players , its there choice of cource , but for the life of me i dont get the whole "Skimpy" thing . It makes women look weak-willed and shallow . For me the moment i see those pics my interest in the story just goes. \
As a woman, I can appreciate the concern you are displaying. However, little clothing does NOT make a woman weak-willed. Nor does more clothing make her more strong-minded. The strongest women I know are not afraid to show off their bodies, whether society wants them to or not. We are to be proud of our bodies, whatever shape they come in, both men and women alike. Telling someone that showing their bodies is attempting to take the control they have over themselves. And that's a no-no. I can understand the concern. Trust me, I used to be like that. But it is the personal choice of each player to mod or use an item of clothing. If they want to litter the internet with the images, simply don't look. I've seen ridiculous mods with ridiculous outfits, and have only mentioned them in private to others. But weak-willed? No. Is wanting to mold a character to fit their idea of attractive weak-willed? Nah. Or make them look silly? nah. This is a FANTASY game, my dear. Things are going to look funky. Not to mention you are in a forum with authors and artists, what did you expect?

KC, how awesome to see Aravi’s evolution! Seeing her Oblivion look reminds me of all the good times in your video thread. Plus, belly chain! Here’s a picture of Lildereth with my favorite cheesemaster, I’m sure I don’t need to explain the setting. Here’s another one showing her expression while they were chatting. I’m not sure why she looks so annoyed. Probably because she was on her way back to town after saving a handsome scholar-in-distress from mortal peril and was still tense over the adventure. Or perhaps Uuras called her bra-top weak-willed and shallow, lol. Or worse pointed out that they are wearing the same pants.

Grits: was she in the contest? I think I voted her hot. QUOTE(King Coin @ Feb 11 2013, 10:41 PM) Since this is the Oblivion screen shot thread, here's Aravi from Oblivion. She looks very different in Skyrim.Edit: Spots are sort of similar! Wow. I really love that belly chain! ... I can see some of my OB characters wearing that! QUOTE(Lopov @ Feb 11 2013, 10:43 PM) I like to alter his shots because I think it suits his atmosphere better.
Your pic alterations really do manage to give him a particularly creepy look QUOTE(Acadian @ Feb 12 2013, 01:29 AM) mages might wear robes.
Lothran is Warlock ran in the Mages Guild, but he has never ever used robes other than to see how he looks in them. I must say though that I prefer Oblivion Aravi. Maybe because I´ve seen her more times than Skyrim Aravi. Lothran the Ship CaptainTalking to mr ArmandCreating a new spell!

@King Coin - Aravi looks great in both games but I prefer her in Skyrim, perhaps it's because of her haircut. @Grits - I remember Lildereth from Hot & Not contest, she was one of my personal favorites but I think I already said that on Beth forums too. @Akadian - that's a nice dress! And I like additional equipment on her horse. @mirocu - as I said before, Saviour's Hide suits Lothran perfectly and spell-making shot never gets old. Seems that most of our characters stopped by Marie Elena at least once... Falador on Marie ElenaAnd one older shot: Death walks The Jeralls...This post has been edited by Lopov: Feb 12 2013, 04:48 PM

QUOTE(mALX @ Feb 11 2013, 11:54 PM) QUOTE(flowerboom @ Feb 11 2013, 05:23 PM) < insert sick here > they are in "armour" if thats what you want to call it . i call it a sports bra and a thong Like with falador , if all his pics displayed him in some "mod armour" that basically showed him naked bar the family gems , i would just skim over his stories because for me , those characters feel shallow , I just think TES are being increasingly undermined by this new batch of "skimpy mods" Its shameful and dissapointing to see users lavish in their nudity. Women are being degraded by players , the whole "Skimpy" thing makes women look weak-willed and shallow . The women of skyrim are men at heart and i love this so much , that is what a "Strong nord woman" means! Not some flouncy model whoms only pass - time is how to get ulfric into bed! ( i literally found several threads devoted to cooking up ways to seduce ulfric and even *shudder* for them to get pregnant!) This is just a bi - product of mods unfortunantly I like the idea falador covers himself up , its cute! * plays "Twisted Sister" * * sprays "Obsession" * * reads "The Warp in the West" * * chews on a nut * * removes soapbox found on forum * The "Huntsman's Vest" which you referred to as a "Sports bra" is a vanilla article of clothing in Oblivion, not a mod. Therefore, it must be lore friendly. http://www.tobias-nase.com/index.php?modul...loth&id=591When you get on the internet, you are exposed to a diverse population whose beliefs may or may not match your own. Game forums are made up of modders and players whose individual preferences are based on their personal beliefs/cultures/environments. This is an open minded forum that accepts others for what they are as we meet them. Stating your own preferences is fine, but downgrading other's choices or making extreme assumptions about them (and/or their characters) based on how their character is dressed, how they play their character, or the mods they use and posting these in numerous places is prejudicial soapboxing. There are all different degrees of obsessions and fantasy, which you thoroughly demonstrated in your numerous posts on this subject. In my years at this site I have never seen any characters/stories/mods/etc. that would have offended your sensibilities, but if they come they should not meet with prejudice on these forums. We here at this site are a community of support for everyone. My personal preference - when my character is dressed, she has clothes on. When she is not, she doesn't. Either way, her willpower stat remains the same. As you were. * No , your not hearing me If your going to just blanch me with your random argument do not comment A. i was not referring to any item B . talking about skyrim , which didnt have a huntsman vest It is clear not matter how neutral you attempt to stay on the subject you disagree with me , i simply detest people whom attempt to remain cold and aloof and pretend to be above me! It is rude , you have not listned to anything i have said on the "numerous" posts , you'd be surprised with which gender i am you know.... But i agree with you that everybody has their own view , however i did not and i will not tolerate you saying i am attempting to say that women should not wear skimpy clothes . i find it dissapointing that female players find it powerful to expose chracters , again its just characters , but for me over the recent year the anti- feminist bilge i have read on various tes forums as shocked me , whats even more shocking is most of it is coming from female players , for me the line between charcters and users is fine , if your displaying your characters naked as the moon bowing to ulfric stormcloak the " war hero of skyrim~" then yes i find it hard not to get angry about. But i dont want to get into an arguement about it , but i dont like the way you responded to my topic accuseing me of things i did not imply or even wrote . And no i dont come from the 80's so dont acuse me of being out-moded in what im trying to say . This post has been edited by flowerboom: Feb 12 2013, 08:41 PM

QUOTE(mirocu @ Feb 12 2013, 02:30 PM) QUOTE(Acadian @ Feb 12 2013, 05:09 PM) While everyone's on a skin theme, let Buffy say how much she approves of Lothran's vest - the one that shows off those big arm muscles! No wonder he has the power to do so much damage with Snowflake. Yet, he can be gentle too.
If she liked him in that vest, think twice before showing her this one WOO HOO! Awesome shot!
