QUOTE(ghastley @ Aug 7 2013, 04:17 PM) A gstaff reply at the bethsoft forums makes it likely that the Morrowind is precisely the same disks as the GOTY edition. I've avoided the second-hand route and it hasn't been in the stores for years, so it looks like I might get it for MW/Tribunal/Bloodmoon (and KotN, which I passed up on the first time). I still can't see playing Skyrim through Steam, but it will be so tempting if I have the disk in my hands.
One oddity to me is that there's a disk for the MW Construction kit, but none for OB or Skyrim tools. Was that always shipped that way?
I have the Morrowind GOTY, and the discs shown in the picture look exactly the same as mine. There is one disc for the game, one for Tribunal, one for Bloodmoon, and one for the construction set. I have the Oblivion GOTY as well, but I had to download its construction set.

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Aug 2 2013, 10:33 PM) The only reason I would buy this is for Arena and Daggerfall. I already have the other games, so there is no point in getting it for them.
Even if you totally ignore graphics, the gameplay (especially combat) is almost unbearable in Arena and Daggerfall. The worlds are neat but there isn't much to them and lots of the skills are pointless. Unless you're buying this thing to collect the box/maps/discs I would seriously consider passing if I were you. The first two games are not great, honestly they're not even good in my opinion. It wasn't until Morrowind that the series evolved into a more playable game that doesn't kill you six times during the intro and actually allow some roleplaying.

I can't get the Anthology copy of Morrowind to install properly. It wants to put it in the C:\Program Files folder, but the button to change the installation folder doesn't do anything. Since C: is my SSD, which is not very large. I'm reluctant to install and try and move it afterward.
Judging by file dates, it's the original install disc, which would have been for XP and below. This is probably an issue with the old installer - I had a similar issue with Fraps, except the other way round. The installer let me choose where I put it, but Fraps itself wouldn't let me pick the folder to save into. The symptom was the same - the browse button was there, but did nothing.
Anyone have any ideas?: Googling found me a couple of people who'd installed in default location and moved after, so that's my fall-back plan.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Sep 30 2013, 06:51 AM) ... Are you saying you canīt even manually type in the directory location either? Thatīs really strange Yes, that's exactly the problem. No opportunity to enter the target directory. I suspect a Windows 7 update broke it since you installed, because it's the same disc you used (judging by the file dates).

I had a similar problem; you can't manually tell the install where to go, so it goes for Program Files instead of Program Files (x86), which didn't work for my Win7 computer so in the end I did...something. I think I just moved the entire directory manually in the end. You should probably get someone with a better memory to help you on this. Sorry.
