Acadian & others: Thanks for not ostracizing me from the Chorrol community! Truthfully, the first RPG table-game we played in high school had blunderbuss, arquebuss, crude grenades, and petards.

SubRosa: I am glad somebody picked up on Jensine's scrunchy face! Yes, horses are rentable in my game. I figured out how to do this and added the procedure into Renee's Modding Thread. If he merely stole horses his game would start to feel like Kahreem's! And if the horse gets pwned, hey, at least he didn't spend a lot of money on it.

Yep, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Fun fact, Harrison Ford was very sick when he was filming that scene and originally he was supposed to use his whip to disarm the swordsman. Ford just couldn't get it to work right so he asked Spielberg if he could just shoot the guy. Spielberg apparently liked the idea so they shot the scene like that.

It’s pretty neat! I like little stories like that.

Also, Orcs are kinda cute, in their way! Skyrim and ESO Orcs actually are somewhat pretty.

Brenna is a pretty one to be sure. You are right about what the tools Oblivion gives us to create faces. But, it can be done with patience and understanding as you have shown.

My little band of travelers was in Anvil recently recruiting workers for Sutch. Had they known Brenna was arriving from Daggerfall I’m sure they would have delayed their departure and offer to escort her around town until she got settled.

I tried that Alternate Start mod once. I actually prefer the vanilla start, even for characters who won't be doing in the main quest. I modded the game to put every variety of weapon and armor in there (a hammer, an axe, a greatsword, etc...). I saw it as a place where I could get to know new characters, and see what kind of weapons and gear they preferred.

Balztu is mean and green. I use Cute Orc Head replacer to remove the boar look from their heads, and make them more like Skyrim's orcs.

I like that mod for the most part. So what happens if you do the steps to get put in jail? Does it do the whole follow the emperor thing?

I’m currently using an alternate start mod that lets you arrive in Cyrodiil by ship at several different cities.

Yes it's a great way to start the game. You basically walk your character through a series of checkpoints, choosing Race, Class, and so on.

Acadian / SubRosa: Thanks! She is mean & green. She is surprisingly fun to game with, and different from all my others. She's actually BIG first of all. She is my largest character to date. She lumbers when she walks.

Well to start the main quest, you have to do that side quest for an Orc in the IC who is having a problem with the corrupt watch captain, Audens Lavidicus (sp?). You go up to him, accuse him of corruption, and then he throws you in the IC’s prison. Supposedly this is how you start the main quest with this mod. I was just curious if “starting the main quest” means following the emperor and his blades around, or if that is altered in some way, since many of the NPC’s will say the emperor has been murdered lines when you talk to them about rumors.

Renee: Not familiar with the TU Alternate Start as i use a different one myself but, that tutorial area makes it look worth looking into.

SubRosa: Being in the minority I actually prefer the opposite; flat boar snouts and all, the uglier and meaner Orcs look the better.

Welcome Balztu! Her skin is green, I didn't expect that. Does she have green toes too? I'd say stay in those sewers and find a way out, it'll be more rewarding. There's always a way out.

Khajiit, Oh no kidding. So it sounds like there is a back door just in case someone wants to do the Main Quest, but in a different way. How neat.

macole: Do you ever roll new characters? If so, TU is highly recommended by me. So many options, ways to start the game.

A quick picture update on Balztu Dahwalz! She is currently headed toward Skingrad and then Anvil, where I assume a ship will take her to Valenwood. But here are the early events in her game.

Lurking

Bashing -- after leaving the sewer (which took a long time) she was in somebody's cellar. Good thing she had a BIG warhammer. She was easily able to break the door's lock.

An intruder! Nooo!

Actually that lady didn't show much reaction at all as this giant, green-skinned orc comes lumbering out her basement. That's all for now.
