I have been thinking about playing Saya in Skyrim ever since I saw the Winged Twilights mod, which would allow her to summon Kireteki. I have been fiddling around with Saya today, and think I have her face right. Now I am looking at outfits.

ESO Altmer Armor

SPOA Silver Knight Armor

Ordinator Armor

Eisen Platte Black

The ESO Altmer is my least favorite. It is just too skimpy and thin. Saya is a battlemage. She likes to get up close and crush skulls with her mace. So she like her armor to be armor.

Screen captures do not do the SPOA armor justice. You have to actually see it in the game to appreciate how it shines and reflects your surroundings. This is my second favorite so far.

The Ordinator is my favorite. It is Morrowind-specific, and really works for a Dark Elf. Plus I have never had a character who has used it yet.

The Eisen Platte in black is perfect for her. But I have had so many other characters wear it that I'd rather not go there again.

I have not played Skyrim or looked at the mods for it lately. Are there any interesting new armor mods? Something Dunmer/Morrowind themed would be ideal.

Oh, that mod looks AWESOME !!!!!!!

Okay, I have to go by just looks here; here is the order I like them in best:

ESO Altmer Armor

I don't care if she is a warrior or not, that Altmer armor is stunning on her! And this IS Saya, was she not a bit promiscuous? So the Altmer would suit her regardless she is a warrior, she has to sleep sometime! *pun intended*

Eisen Platte Black

Next: There is a reason all your characters have worn the Eisen; because it looks spectacular!

Ordinator Armor

The Ordinator looks great, but her hair kind of gets lost in all that gold; can you tone it down some? Dye it? Retex?

SPOA Silver Knight Armor

Lastly - yeah this armor is shiny, a bit too shiny maybe? Imho, it doesn't suit her as well as any of the others. And the prim neckline and look of it are NOT suited to Saya's personality, imho.

As soon as that Winged Twilight mod came out, I thought of Saya and am so pleased you are thinking of bringing Saya and Kireteki to Skyrim!

I have tried the same modder's summonabe Golden Saints mod and it works well.

Of the four armors you are considering, I think the black plate looks best but, as you say, it is reminiscent of some of your other characters and says Chevalier d'Éon to me. Therefore I find the silver plate to be most compelling of the four. The ordinator armor is very cool as well but I can't get my head around the wider-than-a-door pauldron wings.

That said, I'm afraid I struggle just a bit, as does mALX, thinking of Saya in heavy plate. I know she likes to mace bash up close but perhaps more a combo of steel and magic for defense? What comes to mind is Ves armor. I imagine the quilted jacket to be internally reinforced with enchanted silk fibers - somewhat similar to modern ballistic soft armor. It is a mod that I use and works well. We don't see Buffy in it often because it does have a bit much steel on it for our tastes. As I said though, it might be perfect for Saya?

I'd immediately rule out the ESO Altmer armor, not just because it doesn't really fit Saya but I don't like it as a whole.

The black is my second least favorite, there are too many carvings on it (or however are those "decorations" called).

While the Ordinator armor looks great, the Silver Knight Armor is by far my favorite, it just looks perfectly on Saya. I'd go with that one without a second thought.

I'm on my phone here, sorry if something comes out weird and I can't tell from here.

First, Skyrim Saya looks fabulous! Her hair and face are perfect!

I love that SPOA armor for a battlemage. It looks stunning in game, and Saya is someone who would wear that mirror finish for maximum flash with her spells. The Ordinator one also looks nicely ornate and Morrowind-ish, but a bit bulky at the shoulders. That would be my close second choice.

The black armor is gorgeous, but it makes me think too much of other characters. I don't think Saya would put up with that. laugh.gif

I couldn't load the mod page on my phone, but if Kireteki has a specific color-look that favors one of the armors, to me that would weight heavily in its favor. I think Saya would think about how she and Kireteki look together.

Neat, I'm looking forward to hearing about her adventures!

Thanks for the link to that armor mod Acadian. That is one of the things I was hoping for from people. There are thousands of armor mods on the Nexus. Looking through them all is Herculean task. But sad to say, that one is too... flimsy looking for Saya. She has always liked her armor to be substantial. Back in Oblivion she started out wearing Iron Armor, added some pieces of Dwarven, and finally settled upon the RD Ayleid armor (which is just elven armor with a darker color scheme). So she should have something that looks solid and durable.

I agree with you mALX that the Ordinator has a lot of gold color in it. It is a very bright and warm color for Saya. Blues, purples, and silver work better for her IMHO. The blue cloth parts go well with her skin though, and that is one of things that really draws me to it. Plus the simple fact of it being Dark Elf specific gear. Your idea of retexturing it sounds ideal. I took a brief look at the texture files, and I think it is doable. I just have to think of what color to change the gold to. Maybe black or grey, or dark blue?

I really like the SPOA armor too, but I don't like the bits that hang down between her legs in front and back. I don't know why, but something about that just makes the whole suit look clunky. So I am holding off on it. I do love the mirror finish it has though. I just wish it was a little more streamlined in shape.

I experimented with the vanilla armors and weapons, and the ebony looked decent on her. But I don't think I'll go that route so didn't take a picture.

Daedric definitely looks good on Saya, though it makes her look a little too skinny, like she's a heroin addict

The Ordinator armor works really well with the Bonemold Shield and Dwarven mace. But again, it is a lot of gold.

Here is a pic of Saya and Kireteki. Grit's idea of trying to fit Saya's armor to fit how they look together really resonates in my mind when I look at it. It makes me think a darker armor would be more appropriate. I also think some kind of armor is going to be necessary for Kireteki. But not something that covers the whole body. Just something that looks better than the underwear. Maybe one of those fetish outfit mods that are so popular?

But I definitely found her town clothes - from Tribunal Robes version 3. This has the kind of elegance that Saya demands, and the black and purple are definitely her colors.

I don't think she looks good in Daedric Armor but that's because I think that Daedric Armor doesn't fit anyone.

As I said earlier, she looks good in the Ordinator armor, it even goes well with her hair but standing together with Kireteki something darker would indeed be more appropriate.

Her town clothes are superb.

Wow, that Daedric looks Awesome on her! Surprisingly too: it seems to fit Saya's personality. She seems to like to stand out in a crowd; draw the eye. I picture her wanting to have armor that is functional (of course) - but unique. Not something someone could see just anywhere daily. And the color of the armor shouldn't make her disappear, her Dark Elf skin has to be taken into consideration because otherwise she can become bright hair in an armor - don't want to lose that face by choosing the wrong color armor for her.

So you kind of (imho) have to take into account:

a. What looks good on her style-wise and color
b. What is functional
c. What suits her personality
d. What complements her companion if they will be together a lot.

By the way, Awesome choice on that Twilight; she ROCKS !!!

Also, the robe - I am drooling, that is spectacular !!!!!

I see what you mean about the steel loincloth on the shiny silver armor. Perhaps ebony is a good choice, as it is both dark and sleek. So much of the vanilla heavy armor incorporates bits of fur or hide and that just doesn't seem to fit with Saya. Dwarven could have possibilities I suppose - except for the 40 pound Herman Munster boots! tongue.gif

It looks like a shiny steel athletic cup; call it like you see it! BWAAHAA !!!

I didn't like that or the prim neckline on it = not for Saya, no way. There is nothing prim in her personality; she is wild and free.

I spent the last few hours working on retexturing the Ordinator armor.

I came up with Black Gold Ordinator Armor. I left just enough of the original color in there that it still has a dark bronze look, rather than being purely black. I think I am going to work some on the steel plates around the waist, and try to change them from steel grey to the same black gold look as the rest of the armor plates.

I finished up the armor, and I think it came out good. There is plenty of blue/purple to complement Kireteki and Saya's own natural skin colors, along with enough of the dark bronze to still remind us of the armor's Morrowind heritage.

Now I am looking at weapons and shield again. I am going to try retexturing the Bonemold and Dragonplate Shields, to see if I can make them match the dark bronze of the armor. I might take another look at shield mods up on the Nexus as well.

Regarding shields, I just saw what looks like a new and potentially nice shield mod on Nexus called Skyforge Shields.

Looks like they mostly use the mesh of the steel shield but several of the retextures look pretty good. Perhaps the ebony ones might suit Saya? If not, your idea of retexing a bonemold shield might be a good solution.

I'd try and outline the pauldrons to match the shin parts. It needs just a little more detail, but not enough to distract.

Sword and Shield could be a different style, if they match each other. I could see her using regular glass with that outfit, and swapping them out together for some other combo, such as DragonPlate/Bone.

I like the final result, her bright hair is a nice contrast to the armor, at the same time her armor fits well with Kireteki's appearance.

Great idea with Skyforged Shields Acadian! I have the older version of the mod, so I just ignored when I was looking the last few days. But after following your link I see it is a new version of the mod, with all new designs.

The Light Ebony Skyforged Shield looks perfect for Saya

Right now that is definitely the front-runner. I am going to still look some more, but I doubt anything will top that. I might not even bother trying to recolor the Bonemold and Dragonplate shields now that I have seen it.

I did already download Middle Earth Shields, which has This Angmar Shield. The colors are perfect. But it looks too flimsy after seeing the Skyforged Shield.

I still have to look for a mace as well. The Elven and Ebony maces seem to work ok, so if worse comes to worse I can fall back on them. But I modded one that is new to me would be nicer. I tried Sauron's Mace from a LOTR weapons pack, but it was too big. So I will keep looking for that too.

That Skyforged Shield even matches her pauldrons! Oh, that Angmar Shield would be just perfect color wise; but I have to agree - would not "feel" like strong enough defense. Too bad, the color looks Awesome with her skin!

I can't get the Weapons pack link to open up, Nexus may be down.

Really love this armor you made; and it is unique!
