I heard an interview GRRM did where he said she was his favorite character.

Arya is definitely my favorite character. Always has been since I started reading the books. I heard GRRM is quite fond of Tyrion as well.

What a weekend!! After watching Endgame, I went straight home to watch Game of Thrones. The entire episode was nerve wracking. There were plenty of great moments!

Melisandre, though.... she’s probably one of my favorite characters next to the Hound and Jaime. The trench scene was amazing and the Lord of Light theme there gave me massive goosebumps!

--------------------
And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed.
I long for scenes where man hath never trod
A place where woman never smiled or wept
There to abide with my Creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept,
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie
The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

Khajiit loved that the fires didn’t automatically light right up and Mel had her “why hast thou forsaken me” moment. Then they light and the dead are just standing motionless on the other side of the trench, blue eyes blazing. It was pretty chilling!

I really wanted to see Melisandre get murdered by someone though; she always just showed up everywhere = I was really surprised the Onion Lord yelled for the gates to be opened for her! Didn't he swear to kill her if he saw her again?

So what I want to know is = will anyone pick up that necklace she dropped on the ground? And will it still hold power?

Yeah, didn't GRRM say he identified with Tyrion more than anyone else? Of course, that was back when Tyrion's dialogue was so witty and clever. When D & D took over the writing, they couldn't write Tyrion at all, just made him drunk or baldly rude.

(I.E. = "I have balls and you don't!") = NOT the great dialogue he had when GRRM had the pen in his hands.

Khajiit suspects that without a mage or Priest/ess of R’hllor around, the necklace will probably not work. Looks like it would be valuable though.

I am used to video games where the artifacts retain their power and so become desirable for using in major warfare (and so the Player has to hunt them to either keep them from an evil person's grasp and save the world at the last second - or to give them to the quest giver for them to protect or use for their own purpose). Maybe the secret of the magic would be that only someone with the right incantation/skill/or bloodlines could remove the protection from it to access the power like the Amulet of Kings, etc.)

Either way, I'm dying to see it looted from that ground, lol.

Oh what the hell......this episode was tragic.

I already know what happens in the next two episodes. I thought the leaks weren’t true but.... but.... why?!?! Why?!?!!?!

Why = because D & D are in charge...grrrrrrrr. Yes, those leaks are very accurate; this episode proves that even more than last episode.

I have two things to say about this episode:

HOLY CRAP!!!! This war was so much better than the Night King attack! I think it was the best war of the whole series!

And:

Ditto. He fell so immediately; and without having done a single bit of damage! It was TOO easy imho.

Wow. Some character development there!

That’s what I’m saying! They threw character development out the window and just contradicted themselves. He said that about two years ago, and now we saw what Daenerys became. Jaime Lannister? They utterly obliterated how far he came as a character with his latest decision. I know for sure next episode I’m going to be sorely disappointed.
