I was just browsing TIL, and i was reminded that they have an articles section, some of which would fit right in with the theme of this mod.

I'm by no means suggesting that these people should be contacted immediately, i'm just saying that it's a possibility that this mod could entertain if the quantity of books needs to be fleshed out.

Maybe some kind of neglected 'Imperial Library' room within the library itself? Just an idea! tongue.gif

By the way...hi! (I'm a new follower from the official forums), i'll probably be hanging around here for a while if thats alright, it sounds like a very cool idea for a mod.

Also, i posted this question on the official forums, but now i've come on here, i'd may as well get the answer straight from the horses mouth...

..Would there be any use for some kind of philosophical guidebook, maybe a book of fictional philosophical quotes, or a philosophical dialogue from an ancient imperial philosopher or something!? I dunno, just trying to think up some new ideas, outside of the classical storytelling books.

Hey brgenerator... welcome to the mod! The idea about using articles in TIL has been discussed, quite early in the mod's development, and it was decided that it was best if we tried to keep from borrowing other pieces just to flesh out the number of books. I have no idea how many we have now, but I'm guessing that the number's already edging towards 100... and that's a lot... We knew that we were never going to have a huge library crammed with thousands of books, and it also means that with a more compact library, the actual building of the mod will be that much quicker.

As for your ideas, they're really good. Are you planning on writing something yourself, or are you just throwing out ideas for other people? Either way, the idea has a lot of potential, especially from an heretical viewpoint!

Yeah, i was planning on writing something based on philosophy, but i'll have to see how it goes, since i've recently been given 4 philosophy essays to be done over the next few weeks. Which sucks! So i'm not sure if i'd be able to contribute, although i'd like to.

Well, there's no deadline... it should take a while for the library to get built, and I'm sure we'd be able to squeeze in a book or two that suddenly arrive on our doorstep!

hey Troika, does your sudden return mean that you'll be active in the mod again?
