Discussion Thread

What’s this?

A player-run TES RP tavern where your characters can drop in for some fun. Celebrate a holiday, plan an adventure, or share a relaxing time with friends. The Wobbly Goblet is located in County Chorrol, and the year is… any year. Imagine a place where parallel worlds magically meet. We’ll use the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Calendar and the real-world date. (So today is Second Seed 16th.) All are welcome! Grits and King Coin are your hosts, so contact us if you have questions.

Do I need to sign up or be invited?

Nope, just drop in. Post a character sheet here if you like, or link to another one you’ve used, or just give us a quick description of what your character looks like as they walk in the door. Link to a picture, if you have one. This is an informal meeting space, so we don’t need a whole lot of information.

So which thread should I use? What’s with all of the WGs?

The main thread can be found here: http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5320. Feel free to introduce your character here in the discussion thread and jump right in to the Playground. The threads such as WG – Black Rock Caverns are adventures in progress, so you need to contact someone who’s posting there to possibly get involved. Sometimes players meet up in the Wobbly Goblet and decide to head out on various escapades together. When that happens they start a new thread.

Occasionally we host special events at the Goblet, like the Harvest’s End Festival. These events run for a certain period of time so that folks have an opportunity to join in. Watch this thread for announcements of upcoming occasions.

Code of Conduct:

1. Remember your forum rules. Keep it PG-13, be courteous, no spamming.

2. The tavern thread is for IN character posts. Please keep other discussion in this thread.

3. The Wobbly Goblet is a safe zone for all characters.

4. You only control your own characters. You should not give other player’s characters actions, lines, thoughts, or move them without the player’s explicit permission. Very small things like a nod, a grunt, or a word is usually fine, but if the player asks you to edit, then please do so. For example if you and another player go outside and brawl: ‘Thirsty Hair-Back picked up Myelfindil and slammed him to the ground’ =NO. Thirsty’s player just controlled the other player’s character. ‘Thirsty Hair-Back reached out to pick up the annoying elf, hoping to slam him to the ground’ =OK. Now Myelfindil’s player can decide what happens to him.

5. NPCs can be used, but posts should not be from their perspective. Your hosts Grits and King Coin will write for the NPCs when necessary.

6. Immediate emergencies should be avoided in the main thread. They can be fun, but they also can place other people in uncomfortable positions. They force people to either drop what they are doing, or else awkwardly find an excuse to not run to someone’s aid.

Roleplaying Guidelines:

1. Each thread is its own story or theme. New stories should have a different thread. Offshoot threads will be governed by the thread starter as they see fit. The Wobbly Goblet main thread doesn't have a story, but a theme. That theme is the inn itself. Posts in the main thread should be in, around, or traveling to or from the inn.

2. If you want to post, you need to keep your post consistent with the current state of the world. Read previous replies, or ask other players to tell you what is happening.

3. Posting in the roleplaying threads should be done with the purpose of interacting with other player’s characters. Not every post is required to interact with other player characters, but if your posts will never put you in a position to interact with other player characters, then please reconsider the content of your posts so that you can interact.

4. Disputes. We are going to assume that the rules here are being followed unless something looks very off. If your character is used by another player, we will assume they had permission. If this is not the case try talking to the poster. If you are unable to get a favorable response, then let us (Grits or King Coin) know.

Any comments? Questions? Post them here.

A Player’s Guide to the Property

The Wobbly Goblet Public House

In a clearing in the Great Forest just off the Black Road stands an old manor house. Built on a rise of oak timber and field stone, the house looks down across a lawn and over stately trees and tumbled boulders toward Weynon Priory. The chapel bells can even be heard when the breeze is right. Perhaps the original owner cleared the land to farm, but the property has been a public house for as long as anyone can remember. (Even the high elves.)

Ground Floor: The main hall houses the Wobbly Goblet’s tavern. Food and beverage service is provided at the long bar. Pull up a stool or take your refreshments to one of the long tables with benches. But first you might want to warm yourself by the fire. The small tea room (to the left as you enter the front door) provides a quieter atmosphere with table service. The kitchens and scullery are through the back. Here's a link to the http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5319&st=2134, and here are some pictures of Yetta at work http://i.imgur.com/22yYtip.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/djWQQYm.jpg.

Upstairs: The Goblet offers guest rooms with or without bath. (Hethilion will bring in a tub and fill it for you. Ignore the grumbling.) Each guest room is fully appointed and warmed by a wood fire. The second floor also houses a cozy library and reading nook.

Attic: The owners’ quarters, younger staff quarters, staff lounge, storage, and offices are located here. It’s bigger than you’d think.

Cellar: Wine racks, mead barrels, crates, Hethilion’s quarters. Hethilion will thank you to stay out of the cellar.

The Grounds

Feel free to explore the vegetable and herb gardens, sit by the fish pond, or take your ease on a bench under the oak trees. On festival days you will find a mead tent on the lawn providing minstrels, games, and revelry. Lowren will welcome you at the stable any time day or night. It is said that the lad never sleeps.

Stable: Accommodations for your horse, dog, guar and other large but well-behaved pets. Lowren’s quarters are here.

Staff Cottages: Yetta, Auguste, Dar’muktah, and Tooth-in-the-Grass dwell in the cottages.

Outbuildings: Garden shed, wood shed, chicken fortress, laundry, Tooth’s workshop. There are some other small buildings as well. Who knows what they’re used for?

The Staff

http://i.imgur.com/4Lqc8ct.png, Owner and Proprietor.
Bograk is an Orsimer woman of middle years. She usually keeps an eye on things from behind the bar. Bograk has big hands, an even temper, and a terrifying smile. Her club is called Arbitrator. Folks tend to get the message even if they don’t know what that means.

Lowren, Osler.
A youngish Bosmer of limitless energy. He’ll take good care of your horse. Lowren’s quarters are at the stable.

http://imgur.com/XmnwYGH, Business Manager.
Redguard man in his mid-forties. If you need something, ask Bograk. Riad’s suite is in the attic.

http://imgur.com/4vUNhHn, the Cook.
Nord woman of twenty-three winters. Tall, blonde, friendly, and generally dusted with flour. She can often be found in her gardens in the hours between breakfast and lunch and in the mid-afternoon. She leaves a kettle of stew on the fire for guests who arrive after she has retired for the evening.

http://imgur.com/32woyQy, Barman.
Breton man of thirty-two years. Auguste keeps the bar shiny enough to see his reflection. He lives in a cottage on the grounds. Auguste shows up around lunch time and works late into the night, so Yetta and Lleris handle breakfast service.

http://i.imgur.com/Q50WtXM.png, Barmaid.
Imperial lass of nineteen. Dark hair, dark eyes, and a charming pout, or so she thinks. Stefania’s chamber is in the attic. She serves in the tea room from lunch time until directed otherwise, and then she joins Auguste in the tavern. Stefania works late, so she sleeps in and habitually skips breakfast. She is often given some free time in the afternoon. Stefania flirts continuously and carelessly with whoever might give her a tip.

http://imgur.com/bitOxVj, Groundskeeper and Handyman.
Argonian man of uncertain years. Who can tell how old an Argonian is? Anyway he’s strong and healthy. He has an orange throat and outrageous blue feathers. Tooth’s cottage is on the grounds. He keeps his own schedule. He is often found working on the grounds, in his workshop, or in the tavern after dark.

http://imgur.com/9aahueL, Muscle.
A hefty, black-furred Khajiit with impressive ears. Late twenties. Dar’muktah is available to port bags, shift barrels, and remind Stefania’s admirers that no means no. Dar’muktah has a cottage on the grounds, but many suspect that he sleeps somewhere in the inn. He is known to appear at odd hours seemingly out of nowhere. Dar’muktah reports to Bograk and Riad. The exact nature of their association is the subject of some speculation among the staff.

http://imgur.com/C2dHgMw, Housekeeper.
Altmer man of a few centuries. Hethilion keeps the place clean. He also maintains the extensive library (found on the second floor). Hethilion’s quarters are in the cellar. He uses a variety of spells in the course of his work to clean and secure the guest rooms.

http://i.imgur.com/jLhnftB.png of House Hlaalu (as if that matters here), Drudge.
Dunmer teen of uncertain origin. If you ask someone on the staff for something, it’s likely they’ll get Lleris to do it for you. Lleris sleeps in his chamber in the attic, but exactly when is anyone’s guess. He’s up late helping in the tavern and up early helping Yetta take deliveries and serve breakfast. Maybe he abuses anti-fatigue potions. Lleris is generally wide-eyed and cheerful. Bograk views him as a promising lad, and she has taken him under her wing.

The Regulars

http://imgur.com/BDBgSvQ, Altmer man. Bard. Golden of voice, smooth of skin, and eager to play his lute. Laegon lives nearby, but he spends most of his time at the Goblet.

http://imgur.com/PFG3BPo, Imperial woman. Legion Rider. Her devotion to duty gives her an almost telepathic connection with her fellow legionnaires.

http://imgur.com/9emghO0, bay mare. Legion Rider Roscia’s mount. Often found at leisure in the paddock or stable.

http://imgur.com/FX35aW6, assorted. You may call them whatever you please, as they won’t listen.

The Village of Weynon

http://imgur.com/8hQsGDc, Imperial man. Fine Artist. Marcus has settled in the Village of Weynon. He will paint your portrait for a fee.

http://imgur.com/aE8TuDY, Breton woman. Apothecary. Martine has recently relocated from the Morrowind city of Blacklight. She has rented a cottage in the village and intends to open an apothecary shop. Martine brews a variety of simple potions, but her specialty is compounding non-magical remedies and household aromatics. She offers a range of supplies for the Alchemist. Martine is not affiliated with any Cyrodiil guilds. It’s likely that she needs partners to provide potions for sale as well as help her replenish her stock of ingredients.

http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5319&st=1177, Dunmer man. Traveling Trader. Thals is a proud if somewhat low-ranking member of House Hlaalu, a Coalition of Merchant Princes that favor the Empire, Money and Trade. Not necessarily in that order. Thals travels between Morrowind and Cyrodiil with his pack-guar whom he has affectionately named 'Nally.'

Maxical

Full Name: Ma'Thjizzrini Qa (now S'Thjizzrini Qa, since she is no longer a virgin)

Nicknames/Aliases: Maxical

Sex: Female

Religion: Any god or Daedric Lord she thinks will listen when trouble hits - which ever one’s name pops into her head at the time.

Race: Khajiit

Age: Turned 21 the same year Uriel Septim was assassinated.

Day of Birth: Unknown to her* Maxical was born 3rd Era 412, the 27th of Last Seed. When she was found orphaned at age five the Legion guessed her age at 2 and listed the birthday given all beasts, making her new birthday 3rd Era 415, the 1st of Morning Star. This was the only birthday she knew till she turned 20 years old.

Birthsign: Unknown

Birthplace: Somewhere on the Septim’s Gate Pass - No man's land.

Occupation: Former Arena fighter, final rank achieved: Gladiator

Major Skills: Blade, stealth, picking locks, illusion

Minor Skills: Light armor

Maxical is small, but she is strong/agile/and athletic. She fights dirty, uses psychological warfare and anything she can get her hands on.

She trained under Alix Lencolia in Blade; the late Uriel Septim in strategic planning and espionage; and Sir Damien in espionage, infiltration, and stealth. She has worked with the Blades.

Unknown where it comes from, but she has “The gift of the voice” - untrained, so knows no thu’ums. (but her singing is known to be some form of torture to Daedra, vampires complain that their spleens nearly rupture when hearing her sing - and it hasn’t been proven, but it is rumored her singing caused the spontaneous sterilization of the rats around the Arena.

** Maxical has a magic conduction disorder that causes 100% weakness to magic and almost the complete inability to heal. It also effects her ability to aim using ranged weapons or spells (therefore she must use area spells). It also causes all her conjures to be hostile.

While the healing side of her magic is blocked, the destruction side is intensified + unstable/volatile. (more likely to blow up a building accidentally killing all in it than kill the one enemy she was aiming at).

Gear: The Honor Blade of Chorrol, un-enchanted. A silver dagger, un-enchanted.

Glass Cuirass, Spell absorption greaves, Spell absorption amulet, spell reflection shield. Springheel Jack's boots.

2 dresses, 1 red striped shirt, (1 same type gray striped shirt for pajamas, it has matching socks and panties), 1 bathing suit. 1 ancient Dunmer ring with 100% resistance to magic (Aren family crest on it), the Jewel of the Rumare (swimming underwater), 2 rings to boost her healing magic. 1 joke ring that makes people giggle hanging on a gold chain, 1 amulet of spell absorption.

2 vials vampire juices, 2 healing potions + 10 chameleon scrolls for duplicating potions when needed.

Family: Adoptive Father and mother: Alix Lencolia and S’Jirra.

Birth mother: Shivani (deceased). Former slave of the Dunmer Stronghold of Hlormaren on the Bitter Coast of Vvardenfell. Shivani and her husband S'Vandra were both freed when a man claiming to be the Nerevarine cleared the Stronghold, freeing all the slaves.

Birth father: Shivani had an affair with Ormellius Goldwine, her boss. Shivani‘s husband S'Vandra (also deceased) is not Maxical’s father.

Two best friends, Eyja and Nisaba (the Khajiit bandit by the bridge just north of Waters Edge).

Appearance: Pure white Khajiit of mixed race (Imperial and Khajiit). Red hair in ponytail, shorter than most Khajiit, (5’2” and weighing 100 pounds). Gray-green eyes depending on outfit. Small breasted/athletic build, keeps herself immaculately clean whenever possible. Does not like to smell like a cat.

Personality: A good natured prankster, naïve, not the brightest candle in the sconce brains-wise. Very quick red-headed temper, but cools down just as quickly. She is frank on speaking what is on her mind, and not always diplomatically (spontaneous blurting). Loyal. Maxical tries to be good (but doesn’t always succeed). She is not always on the right side of things, but believes strongly in whatever she does.

History: Mother Shivani and her husband S’Vandra were killed in a minotaur attack in County Skingrad when Maxical was age 5. Maxical has no memories of the attack or any moment of her life prior to it.

At that same time and vicinity, a centuries long feud had heated up and was raging between three ancient vampires (Greywyn Blenwyth, the necromancer Dagoth-Malan, and his cohort Movarth Piquine).

At the center of the feud was Amiela, a 137 year old vampire who had died a century ago (but the wars being fought over her continued on for possession of her soul). The soul was stolen and through necromancy was hidden inside 5 year old Maxical.

Maxical was dropped off at the Legion Office in the Imperial City, and later moved to an orphanage for the un-adoptable. Because of her tiny size and odd appearance, they labeled her “Unknown albino beast,” guessed her age to be 2 years old. Maxical spoke little Cyrodiilic, and because they couldn’t understand her name (Ma'Thjizzrini Qa) they listed her name as “Maxical.”

4 years later Alix Lencolia and S’Jirra applied to adopt her. Before the paperwork went through, Fathis Aren came to the orphanage to chose a student for a scholarship at the Arcane. Maxical was chosen.

Before the adoption was finalized Dagoth-Malan came to the orphanage to kidnap young girls to “farm” and discovered the soul of Amiela was hidden inside Maxical.

Because of Maxical’s pending adoption and the scholarship, people would notice if she disappeared. Malan instead planted a post-hypnotic command to come to him when she turned 20 (not knowing her age was wrong).

The adoption was approved. 5 years later Maxical started her scholarship at the Arcane. After nearly destroying it they pushed her out the door almost 6 years later. Due to the extraordinary damages she caused at the Arcane that Fathis Aren paid, (and out of schoolgirl crush/love for him) Maxical vowed her virginity to Fathis (but he never came for it). Oh, that didn’t sound good, lol.

Unbeknownst to anyone at the time, Janus Hassildor had Fathis under a spell, which is why he wasn‘t going near Maxical. (since he had hopped on board everything that walked prior to that).

Everyone thought she was 17 years old, but Maxical actually turned 20 that year. She joined the Arena and married Gils (the Blue Team Gladiator) in a country ceremony. Because there were no witnesses it was not considered legal, but despite this Gils taught her the sacred Dunmer mysteries (breaking Dunmer law). Since her virginity was promised to Fathis, she remained a virgin.

Unbeknownst to anyone, Malan had used mind control on Gils to make him marry Maxical, wanting to steal Gils' sacred Dunmer mysteries that would be unlocked in marriage.

The day before war broke out Fathis married Maxical, invalidating her marriage to Gils. Then Fathis left her at the altar (and untouched). She had nowhere to go but back to Gils. They almost mated, but before the act could be completed Azura sealed Maxical to Gils, binding her to him for life.

Azura placed the binding seal on Maxical’s tongue. (Azura’s seal = moonsugar when her mate is present, an excruciating burning in his absence. Only an ancient vampire’s presence or the drinking of vampire juices interferes with the seal and stops the pain).

Dagoth-Malan started an uprising and the vampire war broke out the next day. Fathis was thought to be dead. (Malan has Fathis in his dungeon, Fathis is a vampire now). Gils did die, but not before Malan took his soul.

Malan erased Maxical‘s memory of Gils’ death, told her Gils abandoned her and defected with Captain Renault (who Malan actually killed).

After manipulating Maxical to a mentally weak state, Dagoth-Malan performed necromancy on Maxical to raise Amiela’s soul inside her - planned for Amiela to take over Maxical’s body permanently. Through willpower Maxical was able to fight off Amiela from taking her body.

Malan impersonated Janus Hassildor (using illusion magic), kidnapped Maxical and used her virgin blood against Fathis to swear his soul over to Malan. Malan took his soul, Fathis is now a thrall. Malan then took Maxical’s virginity.

Malan pretended to be a Dunmer Arbiter and held the power of that office over Maxical for her illegal marriage to Gils and illegal knowledge of the sacred Dunmer mysteries (to control her).

Malan also put his nature inside Maxical, pretending to make her his chosen. (also to control her) - continuing to try to get Amiela to take over Maxical‘s body.

With the help of Malan's nature, Maxical threatened to eliminate Amiela permanently. Scared of losing Amiela, Malan performed necromancy on Maxical while she slept and removed Amiela's soul permanently from her.

Maxical learned that her extraordinary Blade skills belonged to Amiela, not herself. She lost that ability with the soul. Maxical was left not knowing what parts of her personality had ever been her own (and which had been Amiela all along).

Since then Maxical has been alternately trying to kill Malan or hiding from him. Right now she is hiding from him.

Great thread!!

Name: Vera Castius.

Race: Imperial.

Gender: Female.

Age: Unknown. Appears in her mid twenties.

Sign: The Warrior.

Home Country: Cyrodiil-near the Great Forest.

Faction and Rank or Guilds: Former Fighters Guild and Companions member. Free-lance mercenary and Bounty Hunter/Hitwoman.

Faction Description: Vera first got in touch with the lifestyle of hunting others for profit through the Fighter's Guild, and eventually turned to being a free-lance mercenary with no allegience to any guild. Vera is hired by high-paying employers and she undertakes almost any quest, whether to recover an escaped convict or run-away daughter of a nobleman or tracking down an infamous crime lord through the swamps of Blackwood. She doesn't dwell too much on the morality or sense of "right," and "wrong," when tasked to either capture or kill her target.

Skills and talents: As a mercenary for hire, Vera considered preparation as the key to any quests’ success. Even though she could not foretell the outcome, she tries to minimize the need to improvise on location by always having a plan prepared. Vera wanted everything operated her way, and in that knowledge she holds the belief that there is a chance that someone is always after her, to either slay her or to pose a challenge. This fueled her skill for staying a step ahead of her competition and enemies.

Vera also has a skill of reading people and classifying them into what they may do for a living or what they’re role in life is. She puts considerable effort into analyzing her prey and enemies to locate and take advantage of their flaws. In combat, she has a tremendous streak of guile about her. She possess skills in the various forms of martial arts learned by a fellow Khajiiti warrior in the Fighters Guild. She was well-known for her prowess in battle and was a deadly person with a bow or crossbow in hand. She rarely misses a shot(I am rather good at archery in-game, too ).

Physical Appearance: Despite constantly wearing her ebony armor, Vera was a subtle huntress and was dependent much on her efficiency and intelligence as on pure strength and combat prowess. Speaking with a cold, callous voice, but still being recognized as a woman, Vera allowed few to see her face to face and even fewer to truly know her origins, history and family bloodline, giving her persona a mysterious sense and a psychological advantage over her quarries who may have heard about her(in stories).

When Vera took her first steps in her line of work, she was a fresh-faced and beautiful young woman who went to great lengths to keep herself presentable, though it changed when she forced herself to work "anonymously,". Even though she hides her face behind a helmet, Vera is known to those who see her face as very beautiful. When not on the quest, Vera keeps her blond hair loose and down to her shoulders in a savage manner. Her eyes, equal in color as to her hair, sometimes glow in the dark without any visible pupils once the torchlight hits them, which gives away her secret to those who aren't ingnorant.

Eyes: Amber and golden. Sometimes yellow.

Build: Lithe and Athletic.

Weapons of preference: Vera took pride in surrounding herself with only the finest weapons and tools. She carries a dwarven crossbow she personally helped forge at her Estate—which she tipped the bolts with potent paralysis poisons made from various plants and ingredients. She also has a habit of possessing spare weapons, such as smaller daggers and hunting combat knives in which she conceals in her boot(inventory). She also uses a silver bow and arrow from time to time when hunting for food or sport. She also is handy with the blade and blunt weapons, and favors the longsword and axe. Despite being extremely well-equipped, she was not totally dependent on her arsenal. In dire times when waking up naked in the wilderness, Vera makes use of her preternatural instinct for survival and relies on her teeth and nails and sharp mind as weapons.

Vera also has in her arsenal bear traps and other types of dangerous snares meant for maiming and slowing down her prey.

Clothing: Vera’s armor was made and forged from ebony, allowing it to endure a tremendous deal of damage sans degrading. Her armor also had two shoulder pads which were black in color. The ebony armor also increased protection from flames and intense heat, frost and cold conditions, and among other natural and supernatural elements. Her sharp shoulder pads also allows her to charge and attack her adversaries with a shove of the side, making her armor something beyond the use of defense. Additionally, helmet also served to conceal and preserve her identity from her enemies and foes, who knew her only by gender and not by age or race or physical attributes(eye, hair, skin color). This allowed her fame to be widespread but whispered and mired in rumors and half-truths. Even her employers almost never truly saw her face, but still hired her due to her reputation.

When not on bounty hunting duty or on a quest, Vera tends to stray away from too much trouble and wears more simple and basic clothing. Though she was born in a very wealthy household, she garbs herself in tattered and peasant clothing as she was never swayed in maintaining a sense of good-fashion as regular women may. This also helped reinforce the idea to strangers that she was a low-class citizen, and could pose no threat, despite her being dangerous than most. When traveling in the mountains or in the forest, she garbs herself in a more primal attire.

Miscellaneous: Vera, since a young age, occasionally likes to read. She carries with her a few

Vera has a set of “special,” rings that are said to be legendary for her particular kind. She also has a journal in which she writes the events of her life for the purpose of leaving it to her children, if she ever has any.

Magic abilities or powers: One of Vera’s many natural weaknesses is that she is not adept in any arcane or magical arts, and when put toe to toe with wizards or mages, she is at a disadvantage. She relies mostly on her physical capabilities and racial and birth powers. Vera still lived her life at extraordinary level; she had enhanced speed, strength and endurance that most would achieve through drinking potions or contracting a life-altering condition/disease. Vera had enough strength to fight off an Orsimer in hand to hand(who’s race are known for their brute strength). Vera Castius has an immunity against diseases. She also has natural regenerative powers. She has a supressed aging process due to a Daedric Pact and thus has the appearance and vitality of a woman in her prime physical condition, which would partially explain her presence in the Fourth Era.

Vera also has acute senses that can compare to certain animals; she's able to see objects with tremendous clarity and at great distances compared to an ordinary Imperial. Her sight is enhanced to the degree of even seeing clearly in the dark, almost like a Khajiit or a wolf. Her sense of hearing is the same, allowing her to listen and hear sounds that Man, Mer or even Beastfolk could not. She also can use her well-developed sense of smell to track down prey. With this, she was a gifted huntress, able to track her prey with much success, even if the scent itself had been corrupted or altered by natural factors.

Mental Profile/Personality: Vera was known for being the friendliest child around, and her love and caring attitude was well-known. Though she was by all means a normal child, witnessing her mother’s dead body at a young age was the event that set her mind to near madness. The events following that tragedy and her time in the Asylum due to parental neglect shaped and scarred her life, giving birth to a woman who had a difficult time forming any bonds or laughing out of happiness.

Vera’s earlier adolescent years was filled with death and suffering, so much so that she became desensitized to gruesome sights, death and tragedy and eventually came to be responsible for slayings and questionable acts herself during her stay the Fighter’s Guild. Her personality shifted from a happy, positive child to an angry, bitter and spiteful individual even after she had ran away from an Imperial Asylum she was sent to. Her bitterness and hateful state of mind was simply the first stage of her spiral into insanity.

Despite her dark sarcastic demeanor and dry sense of humor, Vera also bore a heavy urge for self-improvement, to be the best of the best that there was in her line of work, which she performed well to the letter. When in a good mood, she is witty and snide but to a much more emphasized degree. Her weakness at times is that she is prone and quick to give into her urges, and angers rather quickly when questioned or when she is in the presence of a weak and feeble person(mostly a child) that can be torn to pieces by claw or fang.

Though being a bounty hunter and a mercenary, she was not completely heartless and went as far as to grant those she felt worthy of her respect swift deaths. Even upon being a hardened individual with a history of depression and alcoholism, she had a pinch of emotional connection with some people, feeling respect and admiration for others despite her horrific family history, though she rarely ever formed relationships.

Over the years as a hitwoman, Vera adapted to her life and became thorough, instinctive, and merciless when pursuing criminals or any target and she was infamous in Cyrodiil and Skyrim for her considerable approach toward buisiness, though secretly she had a soft side for the few people she cared about in life. Even though her brutal reputation stemmed from tale tales of drunks, skooma addicts and even superstitious villagers, Vera was often hired(covertly) by governing officials of the Imperial Palace and the highest echelon of society.

When hunting people, Vera never kills randomly or without purpose. She grants many of her adversaries and enemies a chance to survive and escape by making personally making deals or allowing them time to run away out of the need for sport, though when it comes to getting paid and compensated she almost always makes sure her prey has no chance to flee. She was still considered patient and would relentlessly pursue her bounty across the province if need be, no matter how much of a threat to her life the quest or her quarry may pose. She always pays close attention to detail and double-checks her surroundings to make the best decisions in how to approach her task.

In her early twenties, Vera preferred to work in solitude as a sword-and-bow for hire. She became a loner who usually kept to herself, believing that the most efficient manner in completing a task was if she does it herself. Working alone also gave her the desired liberty of improvisation and more coins that did not have to be shared. Another reason in which she doesn’t like to admit would be the suffering that may come with forming bonds or attachments due to her unpredictable and murderous nature.

With her choice to work alone, Vera additionally chose to live by herself. Despite her heart’s desires to find a mate someday, she never formed any romantic bonds or relationships until a certain point in her life. From her young age she was very puritanical, never engaging in sexual relationships until after a particular point in her career.

Biography/Life History:

“My mother died. My uncle died. A good half of my kin were all killed. My bloodline thrived centuries over centuries under an ancient curse. Doesn't equip one to be a family woman. Trust me, I tried."

Will we be able to rent rooms for the night? Will local Chorrol NPC's drop in there too?

It's going to take me some time, but I'd like to get pictures for all of the NPCs. (If that's even what they should be called in this situation, lol.)

I'm going to make an NPC post. smile.gif

I see what you mean by Impressive Ears on the Khajiit.

Also just FYI, the Argonian at the counter in my first post eating is supposed to be Tooth-in-the-Grass.

Just a quick character sheet for Aravi.

Name: Aravi
Race: Khajiit
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown, probably early to mid-twenties
Country: Grew up in Morrowind, started her adult life in Cyrodiil, and traveled to Skyrim
Skills and talents: Aravi is most talented with her swords. She fights with a pair of them, preferring to end fights fast. She is adept with her bow, but far from the best marksman. She’s comfortable in light armor. She can bend weaker minds with illusion, harden her armor with alteration, and is a reliable healer in a bad situation. Alchemy is something she enjoys and occasionally makes something useful.
Physical Appearance: Just a little taller than a Bosmer, she’s small for a Khajiit. Males of the same race tower over her. Her fur is thick, but relatively short with snow leopard coloration. She’s built like a dancer or a gymnast. She has a scar visible on her right cheek.
Eyes: Green
Weapons of preference: short swords
Clothing: light armor or simple clothing. No shoes or boots.
Magic abilities or powers: She knows a variety of spells that assist her in combat. She can also transform into a powerful though unstable werewolf. She dislikes transformations and does it very infrequently. (like never if she could)
Mental Profile/Personality: She has a strong sense of what is right or wrong. She generally follows the law, but will break it if she feels it is the right thing to do. Will not steal or murder. She tends to be quiet but has a wicked sense of humor that occasionally surfaces.

Are any of the characters going to be Oblivionish?

Posted by: Grits May 17 2013, 08:22 PM

mALX, the rest of them will be oblivionish. Two Imperials, Bosmer, another Altmer, Dunmer.

I'm on my phone now, sorry if there are mistakes!

I have to get my hands on the oblivion disc this weekend. So I can make the rest of them on my laptop.

Posted by: Saquira May 17 2013, 08:24 PM

Had some trouble choosing which character to use, and I didn't have a finished character form for Felisa/Fedura. Anyway, this is her ca 4E 200, give or take a few years.

Name: Fedura Hlaalu, formerly Felisa Serhas
Race: Dunmer
Gender: female
Birthdate: 3E 410, 3rd Hearthfire
Birthsign: The Lady
Home Country: Morrowind, though she moved to Cyrodiil when she was 2.

Faction and Rank: Formerly a Speaker of the Dark Brotherhood and the overseer/head of the Kvatch sanctuary. She left them by faking her own death a few years into the 4th Era.
Class: Assassin/hunter
Class Description: She used to be an assassin, and thus is still fairly skilled in the assassin's craft, though she's tried to forget most of her former life. She spends her days hunting in the wilds, and cares little of which beast she catches.
Major skills: Light armour, one-handed weapons, horse riding, lock picking, sneaking
Minor skills: Alteration, alchemy, archery

http://i.imgur.com/BQEkJ.jpg
Eyes:
Formerly red, they're now a milky white since she lost her eyesight in an animal attack.
Build: Slim, quite muscular.
Weapons: Imperial bow, iron and steel arrows, orcish sword, steel dagger
Clothing: She wears studded armour, leather boots and a cloak of wolf skin that’s been enchanted to repel water. She also wears a silver ring on her right hand that is enchanted with a powerful and exact detect life enchantment, which allows her to see.
Miscellaneous: She rides a black horse bred in the Windhelm stables. A mare by the name of Ceylye, meaning “tree of shadow” in Ayleid. It’s a joining of Cey, shadow, and Lye, tree. She’s carved the words in Ayleid letters into the mare’s saddle and bridle, and infused them with magic. When active the enchantment has the effect of an average chameleon spell.
Magic: Knows a fairly good telekinesis spell, waterbreathing spell, light spell, a simple healing spell and flames spell.

Mental Profile/Personality: Ever since she was a child Fedura has cared little for the worth of human life, and has no troubles with killing anyone. She’s patient and hardy thanks to a century of hunting, and knows the value of not spooking ones prey, whether it’s an animal or sentient. She’s quiet and wary in new places, and rarely speaks to strangers. Though she knows it’s unlikely anyone will recognize her, she’s still cautious to avoid it. She was once carefree and hasty, but years of experience has changed her, and though she no longer suffers pain at the thought of her beloved, sorrow still marks her features whenever she lets her guard down.

http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4375
http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=5057&view=findpost&p=168923
Summary: Felisa Serhas was the only child of a couple who were members of house Hlaalu, and had to leave Morrowind when the girl was 2 years old, for reasons that she never discovered. She was taught thievery from a young age, and when her parents were killed by an assassin she sought the assassin out and killed him herself. This resulted in a visit from the Dark brotherhood, and she joined them, becoming Silencer for Lucien Lachance eventually. When the Oblivion crisis began, she had been in prison for a time, where she met the love of her life, Valen Dreth. Emerging into society again, she was ordered to kill him, and did it after breaking him out of prison.

Shortly after she met Gasheera, the hero of Kvatch, and Sa'Quira, his mistress. She aided them in ending the crisis, and when it was over she returned to the brotherhood to find that most of the Black Hand had been killed of. As Gasheera was named the new count of Kvatch, she acquired a house in the city, underneath which she built up the new Kvatch Sanctuary and was promoted to be a Speaker of the Black Hand. She stayed in the city until she was given the contract to end Gasheera's life, and left it afterwards. She stayed with the Brotherhood for some time after that, before faking her death and moving to another province in which she began her new life as a hunter. Sometime around 4E 80-100 she was involved in an animal attack that robbed her of her eyesight, but managed to find someone who could enchant her silver ring shortly afterwards. Then she moved to Skyrim, Falkreath. and have stayed there for a long time.

Breton woman of Cyrodiil born under the Ritual. She’s in her mid-twenties.

Factions and Titles: Cyrodiil Mages Guild, Great Chapel of Stendarr.

Class: Healer.

Skills: Restoration, Speechcraft, Sneak, Athletics, Acrobatics. (Pilates, lol.)

Appearance: Unremarkable. Abiene is slender with a narrow face and very curly dark brown hair. She moves with confidence and grace, like a dancer. Most people remark on her soft brown eyes, since her figure is not much to talk about. She’s five foot six, or a typical height for a Breton woman.

Weapons: None.

Apparel: Abiene wears gowns or long tunics over leggings. She favors shades of brown. Her enchanted jewelry keeps her dry and warm, but she wears a brown cloak to stay clean and also not advertise that she’s wearing enchanted jewelry. Her clothing is well-made but unassuming in style.

Magic: Mostly Restoration, Alteration, and Illusion spells. Abiene has an Arcane University education so she has learned spells from all schools, but her focus in is Restoration.

Miscellaneous: Abiene is a character in Jerric’s Story, but I think we can ignore their roles in the Oblivion crisis. She has had a (supposedly) discreet relationship with Jerric, cares deeply for Darnand, and has great affection for along with some envy of Lildereth.

Personality: Abiene is a thoughtful, kind, and deeply loving friend. She is also bossy and manipulative. She has a courteous and unassuming manner to strangers.

Biography: Abiene is from Leyawiin. She has a younger (and prettier) sister, Sidette. Her father is a scroll maker and academically-focused mage. Her mother is a social climber. They have more wealth than position, a situation that Madame Metonne would like to correct through a strategic marriage. The family is often invited to castle affairs, though they are not quite Cyrodiil nobility. Abiene does not care about these matters, though she enjoys the education and advantages that her family’s money provides.

Breton man of Cyrodiil, born under the Apprentice. Late twenties.

Factions and Titles: Cyrodiil Mages Guild, College of Winterhold. Darnand travels between Cyrodiil and Skyrim.

Class: Mage.

Skills: Mainly Destruction and Conjuration. There’s not a spell he can’t learn, but he is not equally skilled in all of the magical schools. He is an alchemist who is ever striving to surpass his friend Jerric. So far he has not. He is also an enthusiastic enchanter, though not all of his inventions work.

Appearance: Brown hair, hazel eyes, not much meat on him. A bit under six feet, or typical height for a Breton man.

Weapons: Mages staff.

Apparel: Robes. No armor. Enchantments that reduce the cost of Destruction and Conjuration spells, regenerate his magicka, and resist magic to offset his Birthsign weakness.

Magic: Primarily fire attacks with a fire atronach summons. Utility spells from all schools.

Miscellaneous: Darnand hauls a fair amount of reading and writing material around with him. His first love is learning, and he can easily be tempted into adventure by the promise of discovery. Traveling with Jerric has really brought him out of his shell. With a heavily armored battlemage at his side (or slightly in front of him) he can stand and sling big fire with a smile on his face. Also in just robes he is pretty good at sprinting away when necessary. He is however quite vulnerable to attacks of all kinds. He has a solid offense with pretty much no defense at all.

Personality: Darnand is an introverted, studious sort of person. He can be irritable and tends to hyper-focus. He was brought up to be mannerly and present a good appearance, but left alone with his work he soon forgets to eat and bathe. He has affection for quite a few people and respect for even more but only a few very good friends. He has yet to discover the limit of what he will do for those who are closest to him.

Biography: Darnand was born in Chorrol, the product of an adulterous relationship between a prominent merchant and his sick wife’s nurse. The sick woman died and Darnand’s parents married before he was born, but eyebrows were raised over the affair. Darnand’s parents were killed in a carriage accident when he was a teenager. His older half-brother kicked him out of their home. Darnand behaved badly for a time and then joined the Mages Guild. In Anvil he met the Restoration trainer and Healer Abiene. About a year later he met the battlemage Jerric, and then a few months after that they met the hunter Lildereth. The friends have alternately followed and led one another into all kinds of trouble.

Nord man of Cyrodiil born under the Atronach. He’s in his early thirties.

Factions and Titles: Cyrodiil Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, College of Winterhold, Skyrim’s Companions. He does not hold any rank of note.

Class: Battlemage.

Skills: Blade, Block, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Conjuration, Alchemy, Athletics.

Appearance: Tall with a warrior’s build. Untidy blond hair and light brown eyes. The nose of a brawler.

Weapons: Fine steel longsword, steel short sword, silver mace, various knives and daggers about his person.

Apparel: Steel plate armor, shield with a wolf emblem, leather cloak and travel gear. Often wears an undertunic and leggings rather than more proper clothing. He dresses more carefully if he thinks he might get lucky.

Magic: Mostly frost spells, healing, and a summoned frost atronach. Jerric has more power than finesse. He cannot get Illusion spells through his Nord head.

Personality: Easy-going, quick to smile. Big appetites and a great deal of energy. Jerric will walk through Oblivion for a friend, but they will likely wake up next to him in prison more than once along the way. He has a sense of justice that is stronger than his commitment to rules. His humor is often crude, and he is prone to pranking. A cheerful optimist who keeps his dark moods and grieving private.

Biography: Jerric grew up in a large, loving family of merchants (caravan business) in Kvatch. He lost everything. Now his friends are his family.

I just realized I never asked this. When does this take place exatly? What era?

I only ask because there is a time where Vera isn't really . . .there . . .after the Oblivion Crisis. I can most definetly use another character I haven't used in an RP before. A friendler one.

It doesn't really matter. Think of it as a place between the worlds. Sort of your character removed from the events of their life but still shaped by them.

EDIT (I hit the button too soon): Also this is sort of a drop-in venue, so characters can come and go. If Vera gets dry and decides to quietly move on, no worries. She or any other of your characters can come back at any time. Or you can pick up writing for one of the NPCs for a while if you like.

I'm working on a character post right now. It's been a busy morning. smile.gif

Bosmer woman of Valenwood born under the Steed. She’s in her sixties, which means she looks a human thirty.

Factions and Titles: Cyrodiil Mages Guild. If she is a member of any shadow organizations, she’s not saying.

Class: Hunter.

Skills: Marksman, Illusion, Alchemy, Acrobatics, Security, Sneak.

Appearance: About five feet tall, or normal for a Bosmer. Gymnast’s build with the muscular upper body of an archer. Straight black hair often worn in a braid, tan complexion, and eyes the light green of new leaves.

Weapons: Bow enchanted to shoot silently. It was grown for her by a tree-shaper and his tree.

Apparel: Leathers for the field, skirts and dresses for town. She favors green clothing that shows off her curves.

Magic: Illusion. She can summon a skeleton and heal herself.

Personality: Lildereth is a free spirit weighed down by duty. She is reserved with strangers but less guarded with friends. She has a quiet heart and would rather slip away from conflict than risk injury or hurting someone she loves. Her discipline is not part of her nature, and it takes a toll. She sometimes surprises her friends (and herself) with sudden fits of whimsy.

Biography: Lildereth’s home and tribe were destroyed during Valenwood’s Five Year War with the Khajiit. She took refuge with an Imperial couple in Arenthia who helped her through early adulthood. Most of her past is a mystery, which is how she prefers it.

Okay, here is what I have so far, the inside is completed except the doors, (I always do them last). There is a stable, paddock, and garden. I can't make you a fishing pond, everyone will just need to use their imaginations.:

The Inn:

http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/qq67/Maxical1/WobblyGobletInn_zps446aff98.jpg

Started making the people, here is a close up of Lowren, Saphire is in the background:

http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/qq67/Maxical1/WobblyGobletLowrencloseup_zpsd5240f21.jpg

Here is Lowren and Saphire (and they will both carry their proper names in the game if anyone wants the mod when I'm done):

http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/qq67/Maxical1/WobblyGobletLowrenandSaphire_zpsb364d59c.jpg

There is no attic, I put about 5 beds in the basement along with a dresser or chest for each and a table the servants eat at.

There are only two rooms to rent unless people start bumping your help. I made Lowren sleep in the stables, and whoever is the one you buy food from will sleep behind the bar, there is a bed there.

Thank you so much DE! I'll be checking it out tomorrow with some vanilla character (and get screenshots) - just want to ensure everything is working on it before I load my Maxical and all her mods and saves back on.

So far everything was working great till I added Lowren and the outdoor lights, it crashed shortly after that (but had been on for like 18 hours straight, so it may be nothing but just being on there too long).

I went to bed early last night too, was exhausted, lol.

The problem is Lowren. I'm taking him out, then will finish the inn off with no NPC's. I'll have to do the NPC's on a seperate mod, and make it OBSE based. Don't want to take a chance on losing that inn over any NPC, it was way too much work to have to redo.

Heh. Just as dangerous as the Hound, but different. He's wearing the traditional http://arcadegenies.com/img/skyrim/img1/lightwolfarmor4.png the Companions wear in Skyrim, but with a different styled helmet. The image of the armor was what it nearly looks like.

Black wolf armor. And of course, the http://i.imgur.com/Kb0nD.jpg style is like http://media.screened.com/uploads/0/2382/503988-sandor_clegane___the_hound.png.

I just discovered something about Photobucket's new format. In the lower right of the screenshot is a little "Zoom" feature. Click on it once and the picture gets a little bigger. Click on it again and the picture gets back to its original size, whatever that was.

Here is a picture of that inn I made for Grits, but here is the original size - you can see the garden and everything in it!

http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/qq67/Maxical1/WobblyGobletInn_zps446aff98.jpg~original

(By the way, for anyone who may not have fooled around in the CS yet - those green /blue figures standing and sitting are benches I put in so people walking the grounds can sit and relax, have a smoke, etc - or just mock those two boys waiting for their father to come help them clear goblins off their land, ROFL !!

Posted by: mALX May 20 2013, 05:05 AM

Oh, is Kayla going to be renting rooms and selling stuff? Now THAT is an awesome idea for the RP! Our characters could either work at the inn or choose to be a guest for a drink/meal or overnight when we stop in! That would be awesome! Maxical wants the job as waiting tables! She could go table to table and talk to this one and that, but no complaints if she trips and spills food on you, breaks plates or glasses.

Posted by: Elisabeth Hollow May 20 2013, 05:11 AM

Kayla could do that. She's got her own little alchemy set and could make hangover cure potions XD

Posted by: Grits May 20 2013, 11:27 AM

DE, I’ll get to Stefania as soon as I can (she’ll be next). I might just make her on the PS3 first for expediency. She’s supposed to be attractive and young, so hopefully she won’t turn out blotchy and hideous. ohmy.gif

mALX and Hollow (I keep typing “Kayla” and then having to go back and change your name, lol), great ideas! I was hoping that the inn could become a home-away-from-story for characters. I imagine that Maxical and Riad will butt heads over the breakage, lol!

mALX, I looked at closeups of the inn and garden this morning. I just can’t get over it! So beautiful!! Thank you so much!! Hug_emoticon.gif cake.gif (because there's never too much cake!)

OK, I made some more NPCs. However if anyone feels like improving them or adding to the staff and regulars, I’d be delighted! smile.gif

So here’s http://imgur.com/H9Isvu6 the barmaid, Legion Rider http://imgur.com/PFG3BPo, http://imgur.com/C2dHgMw the housekeeper/librarian, and young http://imgur.com/mGXmLRF who occupies the staff’s lowest rung.

It seems that Stefania is already trouble. All I had to do was run her up the hill and into some shops for wardrobe and pictures, and she managed to steal two bottles of Cheap Wine and get arrested. D’oh!!

Grits - Congrats, business tycoon, on the opening of the Wobbly Goblin Goblet Tavern! tongue.gif What a delightful playground, with a wonderful staff, that you have created. And of course mALX the modster is helping to really bring the facility into a rich vision. No wonder it is attracting such an interesting clientele! goodjob.gif I look forward, at some point to having Buffy pop in for a sip of Tamikas. Here is a vid of the mod, a few bugs still need worked out (listed at the end).

I took a lot of footage that didn't show up, couldn't remember which button was FRAPS screenshots and which was movies. Kept hitting both, and ended up with neither for the whole beautiful front yard. Oh, and the Leyawiin Countess got stuck in the corral, ROFL !! I took a bunch of what I thought were shots of her, nothing came out. Urk.

Another thing that happened, some dark elf woman came in and sat on the bench by the road for a while, talked to Maxical! Awesome !!!!

Nothing will change on the Inn, just have to get 4 bugs out. All the triplets sell something, but Vinja isn't renting the room out for some reason. Have to lay pathgrids, remove a chandelier that is blocking entry to the basement, tweak the house quest so it updates properly, and Vinja and Eyja were twins when I first saw them, something the hell happened to both Eyja and Boromir in the few hours since I was there this morning - they uglied up big time. Better figure out what caused that, urk.

All three girls are supposed to look like Vinja, the first one you see in the vid. They all did this morning, then this afternoon it looked like a truck struck two of them.

Well, here is the vid so far:

They are supposed to be Nord triplets, I even dressed them the same (but did their hair differrent so people could tell them apart). Two of them were identical just this morning (Eyja and Vinja) and Boromir was just as beautiful but I made her hair just a touch darker and her face just a teensy bit wider so there would be a difference between them.

I figure if the player gets the mod, they will need someone running the Inn. Vinja is the good sister (100% responsibility). She sells food/wine/sundries/and is supposed to rent rooms out. She sold everything except the room just fine. I have to fix that so she'll offer the room out.

Eyja is only 50% responsibility, so she may or may not report a crime. She sells and repairs armor and weapons, and she can also recharge it (and is very low cost! She did Rockshatter for 9 septims!)

Boromir is the bad sister. She fences stolen goods. Anyway, they all sell stuff and keep the place company if an NPC comes in alone. They are all very friendly to the player.

The house quest did not update like it is supposed to, I have to keep working on that - should be just some minor tweak.

The pathgrids won't take long, but I'm going to leave them open across the front lawn so visitors will keep stopping in, I loved that! It needs done inside the Inn so the girls can get around, they are bunched up in one room and not prowling around like they should be.

One chandelier in the basement kept me from inspecting it in game, have to delet it and put some fake lighting in. Jerric will have trouble with the low ceilings in there, lol.

This morning when I played I had three gorgeous women in there. I got back there tonight and two of them looked like a MAC truck cut through the inn and smashed into them. They looked godawful! What happened? And to Eyja, of all people !!! She has always been gorgeous and stayed that way in all my other mods! Boromir may have done something to her, maybe they were fighting, lol.

Grits, this Inn is so absolutely gorgeous, it looks like it has always sat on that corner! I am so in love with it!

Give me one more day to get the bugs out, I've got to rest tonight, been working on it steadily. But I can't wait to play in it!!!

Posted by: Grits May 21 2013, 12:51 AM

I thought the same thing when Maxical was walking up the hill, it looks like it has always been there. Oh! And I love where you placed the garden! And there's Sapphire!!

That is so smart to have the three sisters offer those different services, and I love that they're triplets. Lol, I can see that Boromir is going to get blamed for everything!

Saphire was gorgeous yesterday, and today had three marks on his/her rump like someone had attacked him! Saphire is essential I'm going to have to do something to fix that issue with him being attacked, there must be a spawn spot nearby. Also, need to give him a pathgrid so he can wander around.

Character profile is here. This thing spiralled waaaaay out of control and totally got hella long.

Name: Theudebald gro-Chenniere
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Race: Breton
Age: 32
Birthsign: The Lover
Home country: High Rock

Faction and rank: Journeyman of the Fighters Guild, as well as fairly well-esteemed bounty hunter and mercenary
Career: Mercenary
Career description: People hurt and things broken in exchange for monetary recompense.
Major skills: Fighting with two-handed weapons (especially hammers), heavy armour, alteration, haggling and contract negotiation
Minor skills: Restoration, marksmanship, tracking

Eyes: Brown
Hair: White; for reasons unknown to him, children being born with white hair is a fairly common occurrence in his family.
Face: Despite his age, he’s got surprisingly youthful and boyish features, and is lucky enough to bear no scars on his face, aside from a badly mangled left ear.
Build: Thickset, brawny and muscular
Weapons: A steel dagger, a crossbow with a selection of steel-tipped and silver-tipped bolts, and a large Orsimer warhammer, infused with an enchantment that releases electrical energy and a blast of force on impact.
Amour/clothing: A [http://www.outfit4events.com/runtime/cache/images/productFull/mib_0022.jpg]heavy steel halfplate suite[/url], a waterproofed cloak, heavy boots. He eschews heavy gauntlets in order to make spellcasting gestures easier.
Spells: A moderately powerful restore health spell, a fairly powerful and well-practised shield spell, a fortify strength spell and a fortify speed spell; the last three are typically cast at the start of combat in order to give him an edge.

Mental profile and personality: Generally reserved, quiet and calm, and takes a stoic, to the point of harsh, viewpoint on the lethality of his job. He is not too difficult to anger, however, and generally when enraged will be calculated and quite terrifying in his violence.

History: Born in the High Rock city of Jehanna to a middle-class family of some repute (and having inherited the ‘gro’ prefix to his surname from an Orc grandfather), Theudebald entertained dreams of becoming a travelling adventurer from a young age. When he was about fifteen years of age, with little training in weapons, he attempted to delve into a cave that was home of a goblin tribe, armed only with a mattock. A stroke of good fortune for him, however, meant that somebody had only entered an hour earlier, a young squire by the name of Edwystir Beaufort, a trainee member of the Knights of the Shield and Star.

Thanks to his training and superior equipment, Edwistyr was faring better against the goblins than Theudebald would have done, but was still struggling when Theudebald charged in, staving in the skulls of several surprised goblins with his mattock. The two of them agreed to work together to clear the goblin cave, and when Edwistyr gave Theudebald a recommendation to his order to serve as a squire, the two became fast friends; even when Theudebald was refused a squireship on account of being too old, in exchange for saving the life of a squire he was given tutelage by the Order’s trainers. He was of average skill with most weapons, but excelled with a warhammer and when fighting with that weapon was able to match almost all other squires of his age in the Order.

As their friendship bloomed, Theudebald and Edwistyr became secret lovers, meeting discreetly in Jehanna outside of the Shield and Star’s city estate. Just days before Edwistyr was to become a fully-fledged knight, however, he came to Theudebald with news; his knighting, on his eighteenth birthday, was to be accompanied by an announcement of his marriage to the daughter of a local noble, which he would be honour-bound to accept.

Theudebald had another idea, though; instead of simply lying back and letting the arranged marriage destroy their secret love, they would leave Jehanna and High Rock. They both had good training and good equipment, and he reckoned that they could make a good living as sellswords.

They packed supplies and left for Skyrim, and over the next few years travelled through the province, making a living as mercenaries, before moving down into Cyrodiil. They eventually settled in Anvil, working as members of the Fighters Guild and running local contracts, marrying in the Chapel of Dibella.

Their happiness did not last. Two years ago, whilst on a job clearing out a nest of marauders, Edwistyr was hit in the eye by a stray arrow and killed. Theudebald’s subsequent rage may have avenged Edwistyr in a display terrifying and spectacular violence, but it would not bring his husband back.

Theudebald sold the house and left Anvil, instead roving across Cyrodiil fulfilling contracts for the Fighters’ Guild. He volunteers for the most suicidal and dangerous jobs, never backing down from tasks that other guild members call foolhardy. How long he’ll keep doing such jobs is unknown, but it’s widely believed that he won’t stop working on them until he no longer draws breath.

Thank you Mustard! It shows up on the Player's map journal, I thought I had that in the vid. It sits directly across the street from Weynon Priory.

The mod is set up for the Player, so anyone that wants to roleplay in the Inn along with writing in this RP can go have at it and take their own screenshots, I just need to fix 4 things before I can upload it for you all to use.

I hope everyone with a PC game will download it and take shots of their characters there and post them, kind of like we used to do in KC's thread going to visit different places with our characters and getting shots of them as if we were a group clearing the same dungeon, lol.

It should be ready to upload to Nexus in a couple days, I just have those 4 bugs to work out.

Aside from her height, most who come across her would be attracted and lured by her captivating light eyes, her smile, and of course, her sense of humor and polite manners. But her black hair, flawless white skin and white teeth. There is no doubt she went to great lenghts to appear her best, and her striking good looks alone is something worth noting aside from her outstanding personality.

Build: Tall, lithe and athletic. In prime condition. She walks with elegant grace.

Weapons of preference: Two sabers, though she doesn't appear as if she could wield them properly and most come to the conclusion that she only has it for show and to try and intimidate others.

Magic abilities or powers: "I can cast a fireball and sparks."

Mental Profile/Personality:

Irvana is intelligent and an oustanding actress, and is known to her friends and allies as a modest and trustworthy young noblewoman. Irvana is sees as an unpretentious, giggling young woman, almost sisterly, with fabulous attires. With her heart-warming demeanor, symbolic smile, and a unblemished reputation for being a humble and warm young woman, she captured the hearts of many people in Cyrodiil in her campaign while in the Imperial City palace. Though she was extremely smart and healthy-looking, she still was considered weak, feeble and lacking physical strength compared to the battle-hardened women in Tamriel, and was known to rely on her persuasive tongue rather than the use of violence. Though she might seem like a clueless young girl at first, Irvana seems to amaze those she meets with her ingenuity and her polite demeanour brings happyness to the hearts of others.

Biography: Not much is known about Irvana. She keeps most of her life a secret and only reveals what is nescessary, and this brought about rumors that the young woman was paranoid, as if fearing someone was always after her.

Though the truth is Irvana was born and raised in a castle by her two noble parents, who went to great lengths to instill within their daughter intelligence and proper social ettiquete even though she spent most of her youth in her own small library which she considered her own individual realm.

Aside from her studies, her parents wanted her to succeed in the political field, and Irvana was sent off to the Imperial City to pursue a career in the Imperial Palace as a scholar, and then an aspirant politician. Though along the way she learned to use her talents in dramatic plays, which bolstered her fame in the city.

Irvana's parents died, and she lives alone in a castle she inherited in Cyrodiil.

Woo, exciting! smile.gif

I have some family time before I can get back here, so if anyone wants to respond would you mind having Abiene go over to the newcomer?

DE, is there anything I should know about Irvana that Abiene would find out healing her? Infections, wounds, scars, and any part of her mental state that isn't how it seems? Maybe a curse against her magicka or some reason she can't heal herself (if she's a court mage)?

Posted by: Darkness Eternal May 23 2013, 12:49 AM

Mental state? Abiene would feel that she's afraid. Who isn't when being attacked at night? Is that what you mean?

Wounds- Irvana has the neck laceration, her somewhere along her belly has a few scratch marks. No infections! We can't have that around here! nono.gif tongue.gif

Edit: No court mage buisiness. Typo in the CS.

Just saw this... Shall I edit my post to move Aravi and Abiene over to Irvana?

If anyone else does it, Aravi is going over with Abiene.

To heal or not to heal . . . that is the question.

I didn't know drinking potions will leave scars! Interesting.

Posted by: Elisabeth Hollow May 23 2013, 06:40 PM

Think about it. Magick knits up the flesh because...well, magick. Potions are more like fast-acting antibiotics. To my thinking, anyways. Hence why Kayla is so scarred. She doesn't go to healers except to repair whatever internal damage the potions couldn't fix. Even so, she can't afford to have the scars removed since they're just asthetic and non life threatening.

Posted by: Grits May 23 2013, 07:45 PM

It doesn't have to be that way, DE. That's just Abiene's experience as a healer. Maybe Irvana's is different. I based that idea on the game placing value on healers (through NPC dialog) even though potions and blessings are readily available.

Is Irvana famous enough from her stage career that people would recognize her name? I meant to ask that before anyone introduced themselves to her.

Posted by: Elisabeth Hollow May 23 2013, 07:51 PM

Kayla wouldn't really know. She doesn't spend much time in cities.

It does make more sense that way. Thanks, Liz. And Grits, I see your point. I come to the same conclusion, too. Though I don't think a girl who was just attacked would feel confortable having people touch her. She was attacked by a vampire! wacko.gif

Some would recognize her, yes. She's more known for her nobility, sort of. Not that many people know her name, just the orphan black-haired girl who lives alone in her castle. kvright.gif

mALX, this is so much better than I could have imagined! Thank you so much for doing this. We had so much fun getting our characters together in Aravi’s Oblivion thread, and I can’t wait to get the Goblet in my games for play and screenshots! The player’s quarters are awesome, and the back door is a genius idea. I know every one of my crew is going to want to live there! Plus, surprises!!!

I’ll edit the inn’s info to put staff quarters in the basement and add your link. Thank you so much, mALX!

DE, I went through the whole healing, but I can go back and edit if you want me to change anything. I'll be out this afternoon and I didn't want to leave Irvana stranded waiting for Abiene.

Posted by: Darkness Eternal May 25 2013, 09:58 PM

No problem. I updated her profile.

Name: Irvana.

Race: Imperial.

Gender: Female

Age: Appears in her very early twenties.

Home Country: Cyrodiil. Nibenese.

Faction and Rank or Guilds: Unknown.

Combat skills and talents: "I swing two swords at once!"
IPB Image

Irvana learned to swing a sword when she was younger at the foot of her father. She preferred using two swords as she believes it makes sense to strike twice. Both in the offensive, and even on the defensive. Despite claiming she learned some skills, most men and women who see her practicing can see that the girl may not have the experience she sometimes claims to.

Eyes: Light.
IPB Image

Appearance: Irvana is taller than most women, but isn't outrageously big to tower above everyone. Aside from her height, most who come across her would be attracted and lured by her captivating light eyes, her smile, and of course, her sense of humor and polite manners. But her black hair, flawless white skin and white teeth are one of the few things that bring out a spark in her.

Irvana has knowledge of destruction spells, and illusion as well. And some arts of magic she acquired.

Mental Profile/Personality:

Irvana is intelligent and an oustanding actress, and is considered among her friends and allies as a modest and trustworthy young noblewoman. Irvana is seen as an unpretentious, giggling young woman, almost sisterly, with fabulous attires. Though she might seem like a clueless young girl at first, Irvana seems to amaze those she meets with her ingenuity and her polite demeanour brings happiness to the hearts of others.

She is also a patron of the arts, attending the dramas and plays whenever time permits and surrounding herself with unique expensive statues and decorative antiques, though only her and a handful of people in Tamriel know what they signify.

Irvana was also a strategist.

Biography: Not much is known about Irvana. She keeps most of her life a secret and only reveals what is nescessary, and this brought about rumors that the young woman was paranoid, as if fearing someone was always after her. This, and despite that when she lived in the Imperial City she always surrounded herself with a cadre of elite guards.

Though the truth is Irvana was born and raised in a castle by her two noble parents, who went to great lengths to instill within their daughter intelligence and proper social ettiquete even though she spent most of her youth in her own small library which she considered her own individual realm. During her studied, Irvana acquired a vast knowledge of history and politics and information on the world's lore and myths. Her parents made sure she would be well-prepared mentally to enter the world and pursue her career in life.

She also joined the guild of mages and helped them thwart a necromancer plot within.

Irvana's parents are dead, and she lives alone in a castle she inherited in Cyrodiil and has a habit of venturing out on her own.

Sure, just keep her in character. That means she would wake up and make a run for her room in the attic before Hethilion catches her in with a guest (when he comes through to clean). She sleeps in since she works late, so no breakfast duty for Stefania. She’ll need to show up in the tea room before lunch. Remember she works for a living, so she’s not going to take any real risks at the inn.

DE, Lleris and Yetta brought Lycus his two orders of breakfast in post 135.

Posted by: Darkness Eternal May 28 2013, 06:26 PM

nono.gif

Unless Grits says otherwise. It'd be better to post, for example.

Aravi, Vampire lair.

Posted by: Darkness Eternal May 29 2013, 02:55 AM

Also. I understand Kayla is in a hurry to get into some dude's pants and Aravi . . . well, she's got her own things to do. So how about we skip ahead to the cavern? Instead of waiting to post the whole armoring up to leave?

Trust me, I also want to end this, too. But I am also eager to get posting.

Posted by: Grits May 29 2013, 03:36 AM

A general remark unrelated to the cave: Let's assume that the tiresome details like paying bills, turning in keys, and reserving rooms have been handled. Of course write them for your character if you like, but don't wait for a staff member post about it.

Posted by: King Coin May 29 2013, 04:01 AM

I'm fine with skipping to the cave as soon as we wrap things up in the Goblet.

How big of a nest do we want to take on? I'd say 12 feral vamps at most and I know DE expressed interest in controlling a master vampire or something. I'm fine with that.

Do we want to have zombies and skeletons too, or just have vampires?

I've cleared Black Rock Caverns with everyone already, but just to make it official, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Black_Rock_Caverns

And I'm suggesting a different thread for the Cave just to keep this from cluttering up the Goblet. The Goblet is the social RP, not a fighting RP.

Good point, KC.

Also there’s the time issue. We’re using the real date to keep time moving in the tavern. With separate threads we won’t get bogged down if the adventures move slower.

Twelve sounds good to me, and one master. I'm feeling pretty outclassed here, considering Kayla is the only non-wolf in the group, but a few zombies and skeletons won't be an issue. Maybe each of our characters gets three apiece, and we take turns taking shots at the master. I don't want one person taking all the glory.

The way I'm playing Aravi is that she doesn't have any benefit from the wolf thing except for the disease immunity. She's not embracing it like Lycus and Vera are, so I'm sure it affects them differently.

Posted by: Darkness Eternal May 29 2013, 12:18 PM

Sounds good. We're having a few skeletons, too. No zombies.

Also, I'll just have Lycus reconsider and have Vera go with you guys. That way we won't have an overkill. I know, she can be a bit nasty but that's just the first impression. You'll get to like her. Sorry if it was just meant to be Kayla and Aravi but when hunting is involved, Vera simply must oblige.

Posted by: Grits May 29 2013, 03:15 PM

I added some details to the staff and regulars entries on the info page. smile.gif

Posted by: mALX May 29 2013, 08:05 PM

Guilty explanation:

I was having trouble making the listed staff, that many NPC's in one building would have dropped the FPS's down to single digits.

So I started out making the ones we would deal with most as described, but ended up with issues there too. Not sure why the Bosmer Ostler crashed the CS, but he did. As soon as I removed him the mod stabilized again.

I've used Eyja and Vinja in every mod with NPC's I've ever made, they are second nature for me - so I planned originally just to set them up in there and get them working, then change their names and races to match the staff list.

Well, by the time I got everything working, I just couldn't do it. I was kind of afraid to mess with all that hard work and end up causing the whole thing to crash around my ears.

If anyone wants to, they can go into the mod in the CS and change the names/races of the 5 NPC's to any Grits listed in those jobs - try it if you want to and let us know if it creates any problems - I really don't know if causes issues or not, but was afraid to find out.

I'm afraid it may break their references and they could stop working their AI packages, etc. It was just too much risk to take after all that work.

What I was thinking to make up the difference is that I can write Eyja's parts in the RP as a customer who makes her income by hustling customers for armor/weapons repairs in the daytime (and possibly hustling them for paid favors at night).

In regards to the RP itself, wouldn't it be wise to time skip to the new location in the new thread so we wouldn't have to waste anymore time? We want that social aspect of the RP, right? Lets do battle, get it done, and come back! smile.gif

OK, I'll do a staff post at the end of the weekend to move the inn's time along. Do you vampire hunters plan to return to the inn after the adventure? When your cave thread splits off you can always bring your characters back to the inn before your cave adventure actually finishes. That way your characters won't get stalled in the cave time-wise. QUOTE(King Coin @ Jun 2 2013, 04:14 PM) *

We need to plan it first! We only know how many enemies and what kinds right now. I haven't really thought much about how they are going to be distributed and how organized they will be yet. If you have ideas, do share.

Most will be sleeping. So unless Kayla or Aravi are the type of girls to slit an enemie's throat as they rest, we can have them wake up with the barks and snarls of wolves which vamps typically keep as pets, perhaps to guard the lair as they sleep.

As for organized, they will be led by a single patriarch. A man who turned some of them, and placed himself as a leader. They follow him but they're not as organized as a deadly group. Overall they're unstable and suffer from bloodlust. Like the ones from the quest "Information At a Price."

Sounds good to me.

I'm fine either way, Aravi would prefer to sneak, but I'd understand if everyone else would like to go in with a more exciting fight.

What do you think Elisabeth?

Two things, a missing space in the folder name, and the bit-rate of the .mp3's. The first fixed finding the lip-sync files, so she was mouthing the right words. Then I looked at the mp3 properties and twigged what was wrong.

Bit rate would have stumped me. Then again, I'd probably use .wav since that's what Bethsoft products prefer.

DE, I definitely want Lleris to respond to Lycus’ excellent post. I have about ten more seconds left of today, but that’s first on my list in the morning. We can do a time skip and have everyone returning after the vampires to get the inn rolling again. I was thinking an afternoon NPC post after Lleris. There's a mid-June festival I want them to talk about.

There’s no way I can do the vampire cave. I’m just about frantic for time to write my long-overdue Bruma chapter, and my crew just finished up a vampire lair (with Aravi) in my story so I’m kind of done with vampires for a while. But I will still keep my eye on the tavern in case anyone wanders by.

Like Buffy! What a great picture! I’m sure her catly friend is watching her back, but it does look a bit like there’s Bosmer on the menu! tongue.gif Isn’t that bench a great place to enjoy the evening sky?

Okay, I finally realized when the bed says (2) - it isn't saying there are two beds, but that two people can sleep in the bed, ROFL !! My bad.

Version 1.3 is up = dropped the floating bedroll to the ground, added the sign at the road too (like Ghastley first suggested), lowered the fences and added a horse gate at the road (removed large rock to do it, now the corral goes all the way to the road).

The quest is updating properly, that could have been my PC lagging or something - it is working fine now.

Posted by: ghastley Jun 5 2013, 02:27 AM

Actually the (2) really does mean there are two beds there. There's a Count on the last tab that's set to 2 - which doesn't make sense for a bed, but does for things that can be picked up as a stack, like arrows. I fixed it in my copy, even though it doesn't affect anything, just because the odd display annoyed me.

It was annoying me too, I've never seen it before in game. When I changed the count to 2, it added another "person" on the other side of the bed, I assumed that "count" thing was for NPC's to know they could still climb in even if it was occupied by someone - but I've seen beds in game set up for two people before, and none of them put the number 2 in when you approached the bed in game.

I lifted up the bed and looked, couldn't find another bed in there - didn't know what to do to make it stop reading (2) other than change the count back.

Maxical may go stay at the Gray Mare and catch the bed bugs yet, lol

Oh, DE - I wish you had a PC game, but since you don't it saved me a lot of work and aggravation in that mod. I was going to have sound files in the guest room to where if the PC slept in the room (instead of the Suite) they would hear stuff going on in the rental room. I had sound files of vampires sharing their "dark gift," murders, puking sounds, women screaming, etc. That was all for a special copy of the mod for you (or anyone else who wanted a mystery at the Inn, lol). The next day the room would be cleaned up like nothing happened, lol.

@ Grits - still having issues with the Priory Bell tower playing, should have it fixed soon though and will upload it.

Version 1.4 fixes so far:

1. Not sure if the stable tilt was fixed in version 1.3, but it is fixed now.

2. Per Acadian, removed the "Quest Item" flags from the keys and deed, sorry about that everyone.

3. Per Acadian, added these things to the paddock: weeds, 2 sheep (Daisy and Petunia), a sheep ken, 3 bushes, a small vinyard, a few vinyard supplies. (Sapphire doesn't like the changes, she is staying in the corral consistantly now. Daisy is hanging out with the horses, but Petunia is escaping like Sapphire used to - just like with the horses, carry an apple in your inventory and she will follow you back into the corral; barrel of apples along corral fence).

4. Added 3 butterflies + some flowers around the tree bases

5. Added the sound of birds tweaking occasionally in the woods beside the Inn (that works, why won't the Priory bell tower work? The horse and sheep ambient sounds didn't work either, so I'll probably remove them).

As soon as the Priory Bell Tower works I will upload these updates.

Posted by: mALX Jun 7 2013, 12:26 AM

Oh Grits - I was there testing out my sounds yesterday, and while I was there the Countess of Leyawiin's guard rode up the front sidewalk, stopped and chatted with Maxical (told her about Mazoga). Then he went on toward Chorrol. A while later his horse came back riderless, going back toward Leyawiin. Then the Countess of Leyawiin's handmaiden came walking through (heading North toward Chorrol) - again, walking up the sidewalk to the Inn, but turning toward Chorrol when she reached the door. Then shortly later the Countess, the guard (on foot now) and the Handmaiden walked by on foot (not coming through the Inn property this time, lol).

I really like seeing people walk up as if they are going to the Inn !!!! That is VERY cool to me, and last night I wondered if maybe I could find a few NPC's that didn't have anything to do and have them visit the Inn for a meal or bed - how cool would that be!

As soon as I get everyone else's fixes on the uploaded mod finished, I'll be making my own personal copy to play. It will have the mysterious guest room activities, Eyja getting flirtatious with the men at night ("Hello handsome," and "I can promise you a night of fun you won't soon forget.") and a drunk package for the two men (slurred speech and dancing).

Posted by: Grits Jun 7 2013, 02:19 AM

DE, lol.

mALX, that is so funny with the countess and her entourage! I love that the guard came up to chat with Maxical. I’ll have to sit Abiene on the bench and have a cup of coffee with her just to see who comes by. Your additions for 1.4 sound great! Thank you so much!! I love how Daisy and Petunia seem to have their own personalities.

The murder room sounds like fun, but I think I’ll keep the peaceful version. ohmy.gif Maybe we should have a mystery for Tales and Tallows on Hearthfire (Sept.) 3. With Hethilion’s spells I’m sure he could clean it up in a blink and then go read a book while the boss thinks he’s mopping. tongue.gif

Eh, you spoiled the mystery! ohmy.gif

I'm for it, but I am quite most of the folks here are tired of vampires. Grits just had Jerric and Aravi and the crew hunt some down, Aravi hunts them on the daily basis, Kayla does too, and Irvana comes across them all the time. She hates some of them with a passion. We can all join forces and swear to eradicate the menaces, but hey, a social RP is a social RP. Perhaps one day we can do that in a battle oriented RP, which I can definetly use my precious Imperial girl(the black-haired one) for some action.

Irvana taking advantage of others. Doesn't seem like her at all. Stefania is cute though, but Irvana may find herself taking a look at http://imgur.com/BDBgSvQ.

Oh yeah, I could have a mystery guest suddenly start hanging out there and people in the Inn talking about guests going missing - the Player would have to follow the clues to find out what was going on, then ... GAAAAAH! A vampire! BWAAAHAAA!

Nah. Irvana won't go after him. She could even nudge Kayla to go talk to him, but she won't find any interest in him. Stefania, on the other hand, is a different story.

I had a quest written for my Assassins Academy mod (The Fortress) where Vinja the Silent and Eyja were supposed to be running this assassins academy but had turned to prostitution. Eyja was having some very well known guests (supposedly for her services, but in reality passing information on for another) - but Vinja the Silent was supposed to be distracting men and was ... how can I say this nicely? ... Uh, boring them to death - literally. I had a whole boring speech she would start telling the men about herself and the NPC would disappear and a skeleton would pop up on the seat where the NPC was sitting. She and Eyja were dragging the bodies to a nearby Oblivion gate and tossing them in to get rid of them. The PC had to come nvestigate the murders, lol. Eh, never finished it. The mod instructor left and never came back, so I was left hanging with my quest half done.

You should have heard Vina the Silent's attempts at getting men interested, telling them her life story and then talking marriage - it was hilarious!

And when the PC sat down and she is talking to him/her, I had the quest journal that would pop up and say "You are starting to feel a coma coming on...the room is starting to go black..."

Now, speaking of dance routines and escapades, we discovered how dangerous it can be to get Maxical and Buffy together. The two of them worked out the first very rough version of Buffy's dance routine. I'm sure you will note Maxical as the redhead on the left and Buffy as the short one with extra bling. Oh, and the business with their hands up is the two of them poking fun at their own ears:

The 'ESP' on the front of Maxical's blouse stands for 'Extra Special Pussycat'. Oh, and the language is Swedish. happy.gif

I would not load your stuff in before changing ESP's just for safety's sake. It shouldn't effect it, but I wouldn't take the chance on that if I were you. I will hurry, just give me another day and I should have the belltower issue worked out. I'll disconnect the sounds to the sheep ken and horse stable and just get the belltower going and upload it quickly for you. I'm sorry is taking so long.

Oh, I hope you’ll stay! The tavern RP is exactly for characters stopping in and out, and planning adventures if they want to. Most of the battle RPs start in a tavern anyway, so I thought why not make one. Plus this way we can have all kinds of celebrations like we’ve been doing in Buffy’s potpourri thread.

Please don't worry about it KC, I'm not upset or mad at all. I had a completely wrong idea of what this RP was about, was envisioning it being like Buffy's Potpourri thread or Grits's Postcards (where our characters all know each other and meet as friends). To be honest, I wasn't up to Roleplay, just wanted to hang out with some of my "friends" on here and spend time with Maxical since I haven't felt up to writing in so long. Kind of trying to get back into the swing of things (like it helped do for Acadian). I just need a little more time, and it will be better spent getting those bells working on the mod and getting it uploaded. Sorry everyone, didn't mean to cause any problems.

Posted by: Elisabeth Hollow Jun 8 2013, 04:54 AM

I thought that's what the RP was for too, to have our characters meet and hang out. I mean, when I PM'd people about starting one, that's what everyone seemed to want, so I figured that's what this was.

** EDIT:

The water statics for the stable area are labeled correctly, the folder to drop in meshes should read "Water Statics" (space between the two words).

If installing you merge the meshes in from your desktop, your computer will automatically try to stick them in a folder called "Waterstatics" - the mod can't find them here.

Please make sure the folder name isn't changed when merging the meshes in (or just hand drop the Water Statics and GS folders into your "Oblivion/Data/Meshes and you shouldn't have any problems with meshes not appearing in game.

Follow this path and make sure there are no extra folders in the way of the path:

Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Water Statics and that folder should have these two nifs in it:

mALXWater01C.nif
mALXWater02C.nif

If the path is Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Meshes/Water Statics - it won't be able to find it.

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/43625/

If anyone else is having issues with the water statics, Version 1.53 is uploaded to Nexus with that fix only

The only thing you have to do (if you are having water static issues) is to delete the old ESP and copy the new ESP into your Oblivion/Data folder - nothing else has changed, and the water static issue will hopefully be done and over with. I so apologize for this sad.gif embarrased.gif

For anyone having missing water static meshes in their downloads 1.4 through 1.53 - the problem is fixed in Version 1.7 - finally !!

Download Version 1.7

Delete any old ESP's of this mod from your Oblivion/Data folder

In the Oblivion/Data/Meshes folder: delete the Water Statics folder (with the two nifs: mALXWaterC01 and 02)

copy just the Version 1.7 ESP into your Oblivion/Data folder

Copy just the Water Statics folder into: Oblivion/Data/Meshes

I went to someone else's computer, loaded up Oblivion and this mod - it is working perfectly, water meshes and all - WOO HOO !!!

Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding while I hunted the problem, and your assistance in testing it and reporting was priceless, I could not have asked for better help finding the problem! You all are wonderful, thank you so much for all your feedback!
