We've had a host of 'pet rats' in my villlage... the've been rummaging trough the old house (not the new one we were building, there was no food in there tongue.gif), always looking for food & leaving their little poo everywhere... sadly, they relocated several months ago, when a Happy Kitten Police Squad came into the area. Since then, we didn't see a single mouser or ratzer .biggrin.gif

[this is, actually, a true story - I'm only making it sound silly]

I have over thirty mice. I breed them so that I can feed them to my snakes.

I knew someone was going to say that! Just waiting to see who ... Danny. Our condos have a no pets rule but there is actually a secret pets thing going on. The unofficial view by the tenants is if it lives in a cage its okay. So people have mice and birds and fish and yes, snakes.

The telltale secret pets are the cats. People sometimes let their cats outdoors and you see them wandering the grounds. Its a pretty big complex so you know they didn't wander in from somewhere else. So I was thinking wouldn't it be funny if all the snakes got loose outdoors somehow. Like suddenly there were all these varieties of snakes on the grounds .. especially if they all congregated around the pool area. I'd like to see people's surprise.

I think it sucks that people have cats and I can't have a minpin. If we were going to go for a secret pet I'd vote for fish cause the mice only live around 2 years and it's sad to lose them so often.

We have mice and a couple rats in our garage. My 2 cats like them biggrin.gif , but we dont. Once, we found a mouse nest in the drawer of an old desk with two mice in it. So, we picked up our cat and stuck her in the drawer laugh.gif . She is a big hunter, yet she took one look at the mice and walked off to play with our kitten. We did the same thing with our kitten afterwards and she had the same reaction.

Hehe, me and my friend used to catch snakes all the time and buy mice. According to the snakes, they're delicious tongue.gif.

Snakes are so cool! This one kid in my school brought his snake in for science the one year, it was huge and he showed us a little plastic age of mice... its lunch and dinner! biggrin.gif Deliciously evil.

They could call it snakes in an apartment complex!

Ahaha Doom ... like Snakes on A Plane?? I can't believe Hollywood stretched so far for that one, but hey it hadn't been done yet. lolol Originality has to count, right?

Concerning our pool area someone could now come film a movie entitled "Blind Mosquitos vrs. the Wet People." We have millions of blind mosquitos congregating all over the white deck furniture of the pool area that fronts on the lake. Don't know why they call them blind (I think it means actually that they are stingerless) because they can obviously see and love the color white. So when your soaking wet and want to get your towel (god forbid its white!) or sit down somewhere - you get into a wild, flailing, futile battle with the mosquito hordes, who aren't giving up their seats to anyone. God I hope their mating season is over soon. Love bug season will be a blessing after this! ohmy.gif

Welcome to the forums. I used to have a rat but he died of natural causes, thats the problem with rodent companions, their short lifespan.

Welcome to Chorrol, Roaring Elf! Now concerning rats, did everybody's pet rats die at around 2 years old? Because they told us at the petstore that was their lifespan and our two died exactly at two years. It was like they were bred to last only that long or something. We never got a third.

Got a tarantula instead. He was thirteen years old when we got him. His name was Abdul. Every half year we'd give his old skin away to a friend cause he'd crawl right out of it and it looked just like a tarantula only light as a feather. He was 16 when his tank light failed and we didn't realize that the air conditioning was too cold for him in time. He was bigger than my hand, I still miss him.

***Alert, Alert!! I just realized that I may have induced the Happy Kitten Police to appear due to telling a sad story. Please disregard the last half of the above post. *** OMG-not the KITTENS again!!!

No Ibis, I want to be a film maker. I want to write and direct my own movies. That means I have to make movies for 300 bucks. That means I have to make good movies or I'll just waste money.
