I really love the idea of the living areas being up on stilts; can you keep enemies away from the residents that way?

The "marketplace" and "available services" were really intriguing; I'd love to see more in depth looks at the interiors! Also, in "available services;" is that a vanilla building wall and roof? Really interesting looking, I don't think I've seen them in my game!

Great shots, and some really great building you've done!

I don't think it really does much for defending settlers. It was just an idea I tried out because I wanted it to at least seem like it had a sort of solid foundation. OSHA and any other building safety groups and organizations would be absolutely furious with some of the stuff I have built lol.

Everything in my games is unmodded. I haven't gotten around to trying them yet. So yes, the stuff is vanilla. I'll have to get some more shots of interiors.

Thanks!

You know, I've wondered that too. I've seen a lot of mods that add a school for children in Sanctuary; or playgrounds = always wondered if that was wasted use of Settlement space.

I also heard conflicting reports on Barber chairs and surgery chairs = that they increased Settler happiness; but that none of the Settlers will even sit in the barber chair or surgery chair. I want them because I can use them, but do they actually increase Settler happiness if they can't/don't use them?

These shots are great, I especially love your Nuka World!

From what I have found through Googling, it seems that there...really is no point to the nursery. At least not from what I have read. So, unfortunately, it does seem like a waste of space. I'm guessing what would be in there was cut out much like a lot of things Bethesda plans, but I don't know why they still kept the nursery type of building itself.

Come to think of it, I haven't personally witnessed settlers using barber or surgery chairs. Can't say for sure if they are meaningless, but I haven't noticed them not contributing. So that's a good thing, I guess?

Nuka-World Red Rocket has become one of my favorite places to build on. So much room that it lets you build on and it is pretty flat. Seems to be one of the places with the most freedom to make what you want in terms of both landscape and size, if it isn't at the top of the list.

I wonder if anyone has salvaged the cut content from Fallout 4 and made a mod to access it yet? Skyrim had a massive amount cut from it; someone salvaged it and made a mod to access it all. It was great stuff, really not sure why it was cut!

Oblivion had some too; but not as many.

New screens for some of my settlements!

Oberland Station - View 1 (happened to add an extra guard post next to the windmill after the screenshot, but that's the only thing missing)
Oberland Station - View 2

The Slog (added a few tweaks later such as one more store outside and then a clinic and bar inside the main building)

Outpost Zimonja - Aerial View
Outpost Zimonja - Market View 1
Outpost Zimonja - Market View 2

Coastal Cottage View 1
Coastal Cottage View 2

Hmm...I thought I had more pictures. I need to get some new ones anyway since I have made some improvements to settlements I already built on and I've finally started on some others I had left alone before, so I'll post more screenshots another time.

There's been plenty of settlement building recently, but what is different this time is that there has been a serious amount of revamping of some existing settlements. They were some early ones from before I really got the hang of what I was doing and started implementing my own style. They also look much more realistic--perhaps not entirely, but well enough that they actually seem reasonably structured. I've included "Before" pictures when I can. The revamps are what this post will focus on, because I have a lot of brand new stuff to show too.

Hangman's Alley: Even though the size limit on this one is very lax, the little room that you have to work with really hampers creativity. But what I had before was just absurd. It's also a bit hard to take good screenshots as well. For some reason, I didn't take more "Before" shots to really show how ridiculously unrealistic that old layout was.

And now, Hangman's Alley Revamped:

Nordhagen Beach: The most absurd part was the housing I built, which had basically no supports, but I also took issue with the building made for social gatherings. I want to add a little bit more to the latter, but my revamps are almost done. It seems the only Before picture is a really old one and not from right before my renovations.

Finch Farm: I began to hate the old look of this place, especially where I had housed most of the settlers, so it looks way different now. I can't find my old pictures and I thought I had taken more screenshots of the place--AGAIN--but one picture of the new look will have to do for now.

Hmm...I revamped Red Rocket Truck Stop as well and I could've sworn I took screenshots of that, too. Yet it appears to not be the case. I'll try to get some of that, too. Next post: Brand new settlement pictures!

You go to a lot more trouble than I do. I just put some walls around each settlement and add a few turrets at the one entrance I leave.

It's not quite done yet; I found some floating items that need to be dropped; need to add some idle markers; and a few other things I missed: (like lights, lol). But here is my Sanctuary mod almost done:

Wow, you went all out on this Fallout (no pun intended) mod! Very well done. Sanctuary is completely unrecognizable save for a few shots where you can see the street.

Thank you all so much! This mod was like birthing a baby, lol. The first time I saw post-war Sanctuary, cleaning it up was all I could think about, lol. This might be a little TOO clean; but I console myself on that with the fact that Codsworth had two hundred years to do nothing but clean it up, lol.

Everything in the mod is vanilla assets; I am still on my "Nexus Blackballing" and refuse to pay for mods so haven't touched the Creation Club either.
