OOC: don't want to make different posts for their dialogue together, so...
Mage/Sel
Arcyakt smiled to himself as Sel appeared in front of his table. He would do something similar to what he did to Jonacin...
"Hello, Selenil. I believe this is our third meeting." he greeted.
"Hi, honoured user." Sel spat. "What do you want now? To know what the the weather is like?"
"Get rid of your attitude, or she dies." the mage said, holding a mirror out in front of Sel - it showed Celia.
"What do you want then?" Sel asked, all the fire out of his voice.
"Give me your sword." Arcyakt ordered, knowing the dunmer would comply - he did. Arcyakt promptly teleported Sel to the dark, spherical dungeon.
'Hell, it could be worse, at least they're well fed werewolves, maybe they won't eat me" Falx muttered as glanced out the window, while searching for a sword of the sort. "Argh.. I remeber the old man said something about hunting, said he used to do it up in the mountains in his youth, so there has to be a bow or even a short sword around here somewhere.."
He reached the ornate fireplace and looked on top of the mantle, "That'll have to do" Falx mumbled as he reached for the ceromimonial(SP) dagger. The snarling grew louder outside and Falx figured that they had caught on to his scent. His trot turned into an all out sprint, jumping over a couch and then up a flight of stairs.
There was a crash of a window, the werewolves were in the house.
The Stronghouse
Brutus face lit with a firery rage, "Damn you! You and your incompetence! There is a man, who will either be dead by the next nightfall or a werewolf! Damn you all to oblivion, I'm going to help the man!"
Afer started walking towards the boy, about to give him his word of help but Selvia held him back by the arm, "No my dear! You are to old! I wouldn't be able to live if a werewolf got a'hold of you!"
His eyes were glazed over, "I... I know, I am but a helpless old man, nothing of my former glory." He stared at her, "I think I need to sit.."
Mr. Afers House
Falx slammed the attic door shut and latched the inward bolt, "That should hold em" It came him as a surprise when door started to buckle in on its self.
"Damn!" He now frantically started throwing everything atop of the door untill it was hardly visible. He hadn't realized he was panting as bad as one of those foul creatures, then he did realize that the panting had stopped, and everything had become eerily quiet. Albeit, to quiet.
He turned in horror towards the window...
The Stronghouse
The young man was still muttering, damn you as he fought his way through the crowds and to the door and then he felt a hand upon his shoulder, "You not going alone boy, and besides, I've always wanted to kill a werewolf"
He readied an arrow and stepped out the door
Part II
When his eyes adjusted to the darkness, Sel saw the from of Megil in deep meditation.
How did he get here? Sel thought. He tried to shake the dunmer out of it, but it was no use. He wished he could have - company would be nice in such a dark place. Having nothing else to do, Sel went to sleep.
He woke up what he guessed was a few hours later. Arcyakt was standing in front of him, holding the young dunmer's sword.
"Here." Arcyakt said. "You will need this for the duties you will do for me."
Sel took it, glad to feel the familiar hilt. He unsheathed it and was utterly surprised. Whereas it use to glow green, now it had a fierce red glow. and where the blade used to be silver, it was jet black.
"Your first duty is to torture this mer when he wakes up - you are quite good at that , if I am not mistaken. If you please me, the young healer will stay alive."
OOC: arcyakt is just a badass
(OOC: Holy compassion.. Poor Megil)
Arco and Shadow neared themselves to the Urshilaku Camp, Arco started slowing down as he looked desperate around for Jonacin, Serene and Megil. As he neared the camp, he started hearing sounds of battle. He unsheathed his scimitars and turned left to see a ruin, he could see someone where fighting Daedra. Arco signaled it to Shadow and started moving closer, the sword was lighting up the whole place. Soon he saw it wasn't a sword but a Spirit Sword and that it was Jonacin...
"Follow me.." Arco said to Shadow before starting running down, as the fight was over..
(OOC: Its alright that Arco and Shadow comes LoneWolf?)
Shadow stopped for a moment to catch his breath. Boy, was that a run. Haven't run like this since I was freelance... He followed Acro in a slower pace, keeping his hand on his bow just for precaution.
Anthanes jumped up as Sel was teleported away.
"By Boethiah! It must be a distantial teleportation spell of some sort...never seen its like before..."
Great. Now we lost the only non-battlemage with a bit of insight.
Sel smiled to himself as he thought of his amulet - he could leave whenever he wanted...
"Don't even think about it." Arcyakt said. "Celia could still die..." he said tauntingly.
Sel bowed his head. "Fine. I'll be here when Megil wakes up."
OOC: Yeah, go ahead Fuzzy
IC: Jonacin ducked and weaved around the Storm Atronach, lashing out with his sword whenever he spotted a gap in it's defenses. Witha final roar, it collapsed to the ground and faded from existence. He pressed deeper into the ruins, looking for more Daedra. The Urshilaku had told him there was five or more, he had killed three, a Hunger, a Frost Atronach and now a Storm Atronach
"What next, flying Kwama foragers?" Niran said "Well does anyone have any idea on where the hell he's gone?"
(OOC: How in the world would he kill Celia who can heal herself as she gets hurt.)
Anthanes rubbed his goatee and thought.
"Hrm...This is the work of a very powerful mage---Arcyakt! Of course, from what you told me of him he is powerful enough to do this and has reasons aswell. He has in all likelihood been taken captive by the mage...That leaves us with the question; what're we going to do?"
"Hmm . . I don't know, maybe find Sel." Niran said sarcastically "Though how we'll manage that I have no idea."
"Well, we don't know where he is, and we have no way of finding out either."
"I'm sure there's someway."
(OOC: Celia still has that one amulet right, she can teleport us all there since Sel can't use his to escape.)
OOC: And then we'd be unable to get outta there too
"Perhaps...However, we should first rest and prepare for...well, just be prepared."
"So let's head to Caldera, and once we reach see what we can do."
(OOC: Dantrag said Sel has to be captured by the mage until he returns.)
Anthanes sighed. "Need I remind you, again, that Caldera has guards. Imperial guards. And in case you've forgotten, we're very, very wanted by the Imperial legion. Even you should be able to piece that together."
"Obviously I have, so what's wrong with sneaking around. If any got in the way they could die. It wouldn't make any difference for me, I'm already wanted dead or alive."
"Well, personally I believe we're better off escaping attention for now. I bet they're checking out every traveller that passes through whatever settlement in the area, and we don't want to add MORE priority to them hunting us down. We already got caught twice, as I'm sure you recall."
"So where do you suggest we go then?"
"Well, there's a lot of caves and tombs here in the Ashlands...Bandits usually make good use of them. We could find one and clear it out. Or aren't you man enough to stay somewhere without all the comfortable comforts of civilization?"
"Well if you're going to talk like that let me point out the Celia is not a man she's a woman, and I doubt she wants to go around killing a few bandits right now. I on the other hand don't have a problem with it."
"Oh, I was only talking about you. I don't have a problem with butchering people; it's just that sometimes it's not the smartest course of action."
The Battlemage turned to Konrad and Celia and added: "With all due respect, I think the two of you should stay back when we're clearing a cavern."
Arco sprinted deep into the ruins in search of Jonacin, he looked back. Shadow was still keeping up, thought he was tried. He saw Jonacin, near the shrine entrance. Arco yelled out as Jonacin was about to enter...
"Jonacin! What the hell are you doing here!?" Arco cried out, guess Jonacin didn't know he had awaken from the dead...
Jonacin turned when he heard a shout, and saw Arco. Seeing as how Arco had died, he ignored the hallucination and proceeded into the Shrine
OOC: Jonacin is slightly unhinged at the moment, and considering he saw Arco dying, he thinks that he's just hallucinating
Arco stopped as Jonacin entered the shrine, a little confused... He wasn't much ignored, but that was because he rarely spoke. He turned back to Shadow, looking pretty confused into his eyes...
"Lets continue into the shrine.." he said to Shadow before running up to the shrine door with his scimitars drawn...
Inside the shrine, Jonacin found three more Daedra. All of them were Golden Saints. And they all spotted him at once. Almost simultaneously, they drew their swords, one had a glass longsword, one an ebony shortsword and one a daedric katana. The all had Daedric shields as well. He didn't wait for them to attack, instead launching himself towards the nearest one, spearing it through the throat with a sudden thrust. "one down, two to go" he grunted, turning toface the other two
"Now all we have to do is find a cave of some sort."
"Then, let's get moving." Anthanes started walking towards the Ashlands.
"Don't stray too far from us" , he added to Celia and Konrad.
"Damn this place, so dusty." Niran coughed and followed after Anthanes.
"For once I agree with you."
Shadow stopped in front of the door for a second, pulled out his bow and set an arrow on the string. Then he took a deep breath and pushed the door open with his leg, rising the bow.
Inside, he saw the same man fighting three Golden Saints. Or two, to be precise - one was already down, lying in a pool of blood. He took his aim as fast as he could and hurled an arrow at a Saint, while Acro rushed past him. The arrow flew right towards the head of the Saint, but it managed to raise the shield and block it. Calmly, Shadow pulled another arrow, this time taking his time. Then, he let it fly for the monster's throat...
Jonacin Tokk his oppurtunity to strike when the Golden Saint raised it's shield to block an arrow. Just as he slashed his sword through its waist, a second arrow slashed into its throat. He turned to the last of the Saints and unleashed a frenzy of blows, splitting it's shield into three before beheading it and cutting it in two with a slash and a reverse cut
"What are you upto, where is Serene... And where the hell is Megil!?" Arco said as he went up to Jonacin with his scimitars lowered...
OOC: Jonacin was using the Shehai long before Arco died, so that makes no sense
Anthanes wiped some dust off his armor as they trudged through the Ashlands. "Does anyone see anything that resembles a cavern?"
OOC: Jonacin was using the Shehai long before Arco died, so that makes no sense
(OOC:Ok its updated... Its really you should say that too me, after all the resurection and all that.. )
Jonacin looked around at the sound of Arco's voice. "Is that really you Arco? How can this be? The healers at the Temple said you were going to die. And if we must discuss Serene and Megil, let's leave this place"
Arco nodded politly before following Jonacin out of the shrine, Shadow was following as well. Outside it was quite heavy winds picking up alot of sand...
"The Usrhilaku camp is nearby! We'll head there!" Jonacin shouted over the wind
Arco kept nodding, looking at taking a hold of Shadow keeping him with them before covering everything but his eyes with his cloak. It had been a long time since he had been around the Ashlands...
"What about that . .no nevermind."
Anthanes sighed.
"Dammit. We'll find something soon enough...I hope..."
"Hey, look over there!" Niran said pointing happily after they had walked for some time "I think we've found ourselves a place to rest."
OOC: If it seems unlikely, please let me know. I haven't been in the Ashlands area in, like, forever. In fact, I rarely go to the Ashlands in the first place...
Celia glanced at what Niran was looking at, and frowned. It was a large cave structure which seemed to dip into the ground. It had a crusty old wooden door as its enterance at the bottom. The cave seemed to merge with the dusty hill that it was emerging from.
She walked around it, but noticed no exit doorway. Great, she thought. Only one way to get in and out. Not to mention the possibility of danger that might be waiting for them inside.
However, she was curious and placed her hand onto the door. She glanced back at the others. "Ready?"
"Of course," Niran said standing beside her and drawing his sword, "Open it."
(Where am I?)
(OOC: With Celia Anthanes and I, Dantrag was just captured by the mage.)
Anthanes unsheathed his swords and grinned.
"Ready when you are..."
Celia nodded. "M'kay, ready or not, here we come!" She held her breath in anticipitation as she pushed onto the door. The door creaked loudly, and dust came rushing out. Celia covered her mouth and nose with one of her cloths and stepped in.
It was much more dusty and nearly suffocating inside. She walked forward, gesturing for the others to follow her closely.
She noticed as she went down the steps and deeper into the cave, that there seemed to be a small glowing light in the distance. She pointed towards it. "I think someone's camped here..." she whispered to the others.
"Apparently," Niran said, "What kind of people would want to stay in this place."
Anthanes smirked. "People that aren't well liked by society. Prepare for having to stab something. I'll take point."
He walked forward, deeper into the cavern.
"They could be anybody though," Niran said "So don't hurt them unless you're sure they are a danger to us."
(OOC: Guys, I have a plan for who they are.)
OOC: A plan? Okay, well, I do not wish to ruin your plan, so please tell us your plan or do it soon when you're posting, okay? I really do not want to mess up anything...
Celia nodded, agreeing with Niran. "Yes, let's keep our heads, and use them before doing anything any of us might regret. Especially you, battlemage." She started to follow behind the battlemage, tensing for the worse.
"What'd I do to deserve a special mention, m'lady?" , Anthanes grunted jokingly. The half-dunmer continued down the cavern, the clanking of his heavy boots would be enough to give him away to whomever was down there.
"OI! Anyone home?"
Niran walked with them and saw something that startled him.
Who was that Niran had seen someone looking around a corner at him, a little girl
Anthanes frowned at Niran.
"Who's there?!"
"I don't know, she looked young. Very young, but that's impossible in a place like this." Niran shook his head.
"What do you mean, impossible?"
"How would she survive?"
ignore
Anthanes tapped his chin. "Good point. Maybe we should inquire her about it."
"Just back there, I saw her as we passed rather quickly."
Anthanes turned back, and [if she was there] looked at the girl.
"Hello little one...Do you live here?"
Niran heard someone stumble and a young girl fell out from behind a rather large rock,
"Go away!" she said scared
Niran just stared wide eyed as the girl stood herself up.
"Or else? We're just travellers looking for shelter. Now do you live here or not? And if so, alone?"
The girl started to back away then she saw Celia, it seemed as if she forgot the scary-men.
"You're pretty."
Anthanes sighed, sheathing his swords, and studiously examined the girl.
At least we agree on one point.
(OOC: Well Niran thinks Celia is beautiful oh and the little girl is Imperial, which makes it very strange for a region like this )
[OOC: He's not the only one]
Niran stepped closer but the little girl backed away as he did so.
"Go away." her attention changed back to them.
Is she insane Niran thought
"Why, exactly, should we go away?" , Anthanes asked, forcing a smile.
"Go away," the little girl repeated "Or I'll call Calira!"
When they made it back to the camp, Jonacin ducked inside the Ghulakjan's Yurt. He asked if he could have some privacy with his friend's, and the Ashlander nodded and left. He called Arco and his companion inside.
"I suppose you want to know what's going on. And where Serene and Megil are"
"Who is Calira?" , Anthanes asked. His hands moved towards his swords.
"Calira!!!" The little girl yelped as her eyes strayed to the hand of Anthaned that was reaching for the swords "Help!"
"HEY, I don't mean -you- no harm...By Boethiah!"
Anthanes unsheathed his swords and turned around, getting into a battlestance and preparing to take on anything that appeared.
"HEY, I don't mean -you- no harm...By Boethiah!"
OOC: Why did you want to harm the little kid? Double negative that translates to "i mean you harm" lol lol
A young dark-elf woman, probably about 15, appeared around the corner behind the little girl, running.
"What's the matter Aviel."
"They're going to hurt me!" the little girl sobbed and hugged the young dark elf know as Calira.
Calira stared at the group angrily
"Can't you see she's been through enough, put that weapon away you cruel man!" she said "I suggest you leave before they find you as well."
Anthanes smirked, looking the dark-elven girl up and down.
"Who will find me? Erm, us that is?"
The young dark elf turned away with the girl
"Just go will you," she said sadly "they're coming, I can hear them."
Anthanes grinned.
"Good. A few more corpses...Who cares?"
The young dark-elf woman let go of the little girl and wiped her eyes, then she walked fast up to Anthanes and brought her hand down hard on his cheek.
"You honoured user, do you want her to see this. Now-get-out-of-here!"
Then a man passed around the corner where they had come.
"Well, looks like we have a few more unlucky fellows for our trade."
"Bring it on, fool. Better than you have fallen before me."
Anthanes lunged closer to the man.
The young dark elf woman grabbed the girl and ran to a corner covering her eyes.
-----
The man drew his sword
"Fine, looks like we're having meat to eat tonight." he said grinning strangely.
(OOC: Man that gave me the spooks, and I wrote it.)
Anthanes made gestures with his hands, chanting in daedric. A large blast of lightning shot from his hands to the man.
The man was thrown backwards from the force of the magic.
"Damnit, Shaldur he's one of your type. Take him."
Another man came around the corner, chanting as well.
-----
Niran jumped after the man who couldn't use magic and put his sword against the man's neck.
(OOC: You're type meaning magic user.)
"Never trifle with a battlemage, fools!"
Anthanes chanted and in a flicker of magicka a Daedroth from Oblivion appeared. Anthanes said something to the creature in Daedric and it threw itself at the mage.
The mage became entangled with the creature and was soon dead.
Niran however hadn't killed this man, he kicked him and told him
"Don't think you've gotten out of it." he hit the man on the head knocking him out.
"Does anyone have a rope or something too tie him with?" Niran asked.
Anthanes shook his head. "We could tear the dead caster's clothing, or something...He isn't going to need it."
He walked towards the corner in which the Dunmer had taken the girl, and smirked. "Is that all? I was expecting a challenge."
Calira stood up, "You killed him." She asked weakly then smiled, and all of a sudden threw her arms around Anthanes.
"Thank you, thank you!" she said pulling away and taking the little girl by the hand and leading her to a small rock on which to sit while she talked to the newcomers.
Ah, the admiration of fair young maidens. At least ONE of the cliches of adventuring turns out true.
Smiling slightly, the Battlemage said; "Were those two the only ones? What were they doing here anyway?"
Calira looked down "Slavers" she then looked up and saw one was not dead with another man standing over him "You didn't kill them both." she asked.
Then the little girl spoke up
"The magic man is dead" she said "I didn't really like him anyway."
"No, Niran subdued him. Strange, really, is it not Niran? Normally you just slit their throats. Anyway, are you the only slaves here? Are they the only slavers?"
"No just us." Calira said.
"How did you come about here?"
"Well, through a chain of circumstances we have a few disputes with the authorities and we were seeking shelter from both the elements and those occursed legionaires. By the way, I am Anthanes and the imperial over there is Niran." The half-dunmer grinned and added: "Just how grateful are you exactly?"
Anthanes turned to the Daedroth he had summoned, who was gnawing on the mage's head. "Return now to the void; I will call upon thee when is needed." In a swirl of magicka, the Daedroth dissappeared, taking it's snack with it.
The half-dunmer grinned and added: "Just how grateful are you exactly?"
OOC: That is just nasty if he's thinking what i think he's thinking
Calira looked at him strangely
"What do you mean, I thank you for what you have done."
Then she looked at the little girl
"Are you hungry."
-------------------------------
Meanwhile Niran was using the slaver's rope to tie the man.
(OOC: Very sick, she's 15. )
Anthanes sighed. "We'll talk about a possible...reward later."
The battlemage walked over to Niran and his prisoner.
"So, Niran. What exactly are we going to do with the scumbag? I am in favor of waiting until he wakes up, then carving out his heart and holding it in front of his eyes while he's still beating as he dies. I haven't given Boethiah any proper sacrifices recently..."
OOC: As mentioned, Anthanes is slightly evil.
Niran looked at the half-dunmer putting on a stern face
"You won't touch him, I have some questions for him."
OOC: As mentioned, Anthanes is slightly evil.
OOC: That's not evil, it's just plain sick.
"Hrmph, no fun. Have it your waay, then."
Anthanes then sat down in a corner, looking bored.
(OOC: Sick, well there's a certain word for I can't type by law of the moderators on this forum.)
Niran said
"Fun, what the hell!!?? This isn't supposed to be fun!!"
(OOC: Sick, well there's a certain word for I can't type by law of the moderators on this forum.)
OOC: Which is why i only said sick
Anthanes sneered at Niran, but decided not to debate on it further.
A pair of mailed boots were heard walking into the cave, followed by a mumble, the cave door opening and closing, then more walking. "You guys are damn annoying to track down, ya know?" Fenris said, coming into view.
When they made it back to the camp, Jonacin ducked inside the Ghulakjan's Yurt. He asked if he could have some privacy with his friend's, and the Ashlander nodded and left. He called Arco and his companion inside.
"I suppose you want to know what's going on. And where Serene and Megil are"
Arco sat down in the hut, laying his weapons aside...
"Yeah... I really want to know why you suddenlty appear and take Megil, before you teleport away?" Arco said, quite confused with all this. "And Serene...? She's safe?" Arco added and started looking around...
Anthanes grinned at the Nord.
"That's the idea."
Konrad tapped his boot against the foor getly as he sat hidden in a deep shadow.
"Hmmm, this is annoying. What in the world is going on?"
"Are any of you hungry," Calira asked the group.
Konrad shook his head, but it was not visible.
"i am too wary to eat at the moment thank you."
Arco sat down in the hut, laying his weapons aside...
"Yeah... I really want to know why you suddenlty appear and take Megil, before you teleport away?" Arco said, quite confused with all this. "And Serene...? She's safe?" Arco added and started looking around...
"Serene is in the Wise Woman's Yurt. She's unconcious, and has been for the last couple of days. Megil is..... Megil is imprisoned by Arcaytk. I had to trade him for Serene. She was captured in Ald' Ruhn"
Konrad shook his head, but it was not visible.
"i am too wary to eat at the moment thank you."
"Good, because we have nothing to eat."
-------------
Niran turned towards Fenris, "Really, we were trying to make it easy for us to be tracked by two hundred imperial guards." he said sarcastically.
Konrad laughed bitterly. "How have you staed alive then?"
"We used up the last of the food because we were going to head off, to the nearest town. There we would eat more." Calira said
"Serene is in the Wise Woman's Yurt. She's unconcious, and has been for the last couple of days. Megil is..... Megil is imprisoned by Arcaytk. I had to trade him for Serene. She was captured in Ald' Ruhn"
"What? How did Arcyakt get his hands on Serene... We need to get Megil back, Arcyakt was very impressed that Azura spoke through Serene" Arco replied to Jonacin...
"If Megil is more important for him than Serene, its important for us too" Arco added grabbing his scimitars, and was pretty ready to leave... He was not angry on Jonacin, but he knew that they needed to get Megil back!
Celia shivered at the battlemage's idea of fun, but decided not to make a big deal about it. After all, the battlemage was on their side... at least, at the moment.
She walked up to Calira and the small girl. Crouching in front of the small girl, she smiled. "Hello, there! Where are you two from?"
She raised her eyebrows and commented strictly. "No offense, but you better get used to violence and weapons, because it's a vey rough world out there. Even in the good places. Werewolves, bandits, anything can be a threat, m'kay? And, of course, even good guys have to have weapons, if they want to survive."
She held out her expensive cloth, smiling, and offered it to the small girl. "I'm sure a few of these should buy you two some good food...."
Konrad watched celia's kindness and shook his head. "If you give everything away, you end up with notjhing. That's pointless. We should at least share what we give them." Konrad stood, moving out of the shadows. He fished around in his pack and took out 1000 septims, handing them over. "That's my share," he said to no-one in particular, then sat on a rock facing the exit.
(EDIT: I didn't know who Konrad gave it to, since you didn't specify)
"Well, of course, I am also thinking of the group... I have plenty of cloths, after all." She glanced down in surprise at the money Konrad had just handed to Calira(sp?).
She nodded, and smiled shyly at Konrad. "Why thank you, Konard. I guess there is something noble inside that heart, after all."
Konrad sighed, carefully sharpening his sword. "So what do we do now? Where are we going to find some food anyway?" he asked. He looked around at all the group, then brushed his hair over his eyes with his hand and got back to work.
Anthanes stroked his chin, thinking.
"Hmm...A couple years ago I knew an Ashlander who had a rather nice recipe for cliffracer...One day the cliffracers got him rather than the other way around...Quite a pity, really. I don't think the alternative of things we could hunt are much tastier..."
Celia raised an eyebrow at the battlemage. "Surely, there has to be some kind of civilization nearby, if we travel far enough...Or, we could try finding less... hostile creatures to hunt, if that's possible in this place..."
She winked at the small girl. "Ignore the crazy battlemage. He's just trying to scare you."
The little girl smiled
"I can beat him up.
----------------------
Niran looked strangely at her, just a little while ago she was terrified.
"Well, are we staying here to rest, or going somewhere else? I sitll have some questions for this honoured user here." Niran said pointing to the tied man.
Celia grinned at the small girl. "I'm sure you can! Just do it when he's sleeping."
She winked at the small girl again, and then turned to Niran. "Er, depends on what the others want to do. I suggest we bring these two to civilization and give them food, despite the risks involved."
Frowning, she asked Niran, "Whatever do you want to ask of this man? I mean, people are just plain cruel and evil everywhere, so why would you need to ask him anything?"
"Nothing any of you really need to know," Niran said trying not to sound rude.
"Nothing any of you really need to know," Niran said trying not to sound rude.
Celia doubted that the Imperial was just going to have a nice conversation. Perhaps, a conversation involving pain and torture. Niran is too much of a hot-tempered person to even have a normal, pleasant conversation, anyway.
Celia thought for a moment, then held out her hand to the small girl. "I think I better go outside during this... questioning. Want to come with?"
Konrad stood up. "Can I come with you Celia? I am not interested in anything that is done in cold blood."
Cold blood! What are they going on about?
Niran watched as they left.
Then bent closer to the slaver.
"How the hell did you know?!"
------------
"Know what . . oh your name. I should know shouldn't I, I used to own you. Surprise really that I still recognize you, it's your eyes no doubt."
-----------------
"Own me? I grew up in Skingrad, how the hell is this possible."
----------------
"I dumped you there, couldn't feed you anymore. I managed to sell your parents but not you. No one wanted a crying helpless baby who'd only be a lot of work."
----------------
"My parents are dead you honoured user!"
----------------
"Oh they probably are now, sold them to a rough fellow."
----------------
"Your a damned liar! I don't know how the hell you found my name, but -damn it I don't need to talk to you further."
Niran got up and went to the cave door, opening it to let the others back in.
Confusion was apparent on his face.
Outside, Celia noticed the door open behind her and turned around, anticipitating the worse. Niran was in the doorway, a strange expression on his face.
Curious, she asked, "So, how was your conversation? Er, anything wrong?"
"Nothing, but I think we have a moron tied up in the cave." Niran said walking back down to where he was and sitting against the wall a few feet away, keeping watch, and thinking. . . .
Shadow stood up. He said things that he felt were right, but wich he could have never thought would belong to him.
"I have no idea who is this Serene you speak of or what are you all up to, but I'm going to help as much as I can. We should move quickly. The mage seems to be a powerful opponent, much more powerful than myself. The only way to deal with those more powerful is to be faster. If speed and cunning are on our side, we might yet stand a chance to free Megil."
"I know where the mage is, but he keeps his prisoners in some kind of extra-dimensional cell. He's the only one who knows how to access it."
"Celia you asked me earlier where I grew up, what about you?" Niran asked.
Anthanes grinned at the tied slaver.
"Now, you should give me a VERY good reason not to deliver you to Boethiah, cur. I really hate slavers, you know."
He unsheathed his swords slowly.
The slaver grinned at the half-dunmer.
"Shut yer trap, ugly honoured user. If I weren't tied I'd teach you a lesson or two."
The man spit at Anthanes.
(OOC: Kill him, it'll add to the plot. )
"Oh, be still, fool. I doubt you are able to even hit anything beyond young girls, no? Or are you just too afraid?"
"Untie these ropes and we can have a fair fight, or are ya scared of me."
"I've seen more frightening things in old chamberpots. Is there a purpose to your rather unoriginal taunts? I tire of this, you know."
"Go to Oblivion ya stupid dunmer, yer a race of scum. "
"Oh? I am only half-dunmer, fool, and you're one of those providing the race of scum with slaves. Does that make you any better? Does it?!"
"At least I ain't freak like you, half-scum. That ain't even a race is it?"
"Do not insult those who are fully capable of killing you."
Anthanes twirled his swords around as he said this.
"I know where the mage is, but he keeps his prisoners in some kind of extra-dimensional cell. He's the only one who knows how to access it."
"Well that makes it a little hard..." Arco replied, thinking it there could be anyway to let Megil go...
"Shut yer mouth, again I say. Your just a strange freak and all, with those beasts ya summon."
"Well that makes it a little hard..." Arco replied, thinking it there could be anyway to let Megil go...
"If i knew any way to get to the prisoners, I never would have traded Megil in the first place"
"Those 'beasts', as you prolably don't know in your absence of a brain, are the native denizens of oblivion. I would hate to have to give you as a present to a Dremora."
"If i knew any way to get to the prisoners, I never would have traded Megil in the first place"
"I know that Jonacin..." Arco replied, it made perfect sense.. Jonacin wasn't one of the stupid kind...
"Hmm, maybe its better to regroup with the others. Last I saw 'em Sel and Niran was on the run.. That moron killed two Imperial guards down at the Eight Plates, but dont now, maybe we can go to Ald'Ruhn and check the rumours?" Arco added, he was pretty sure they wouldn't be in Balmora, maybe Ebonheart. Captured, but they knew he was heading to Ald'Ruhn. If they had escaped it was pretty logical to come here...
"You can go, but i'm staying here with Serene until she wakes"
"Figures, evil honoured user."
"Evil? I don't see myself bullying girls. Now, give me one reason not to show you how your heart looks like when it's removed from your body."
"You can go, but i'm staying here with Serene until she wakes"
"Serene will be fine with the Ashlanders Jonacin, I could need some company... By someone I can trust, at least in these times seeing what Arcyakt can do" Arco replied, thought Shadow seemed nice enough he was a thief. But Arco wasn't the one that gave off trust so easly..
"Oh, I'm sure you've commited enough crimes in your life as well stupid dunmer. As for a reason, I have none. So go ahead you stupid scum." The man spit at Anthanes again.
"As you would have it."
Anthanes began chanting in daedric and mage-fire engulfed the slaver.
The slaver didn't even flinch, just grinned evily as he burned to death.
Niran who had been facing Celia only turned back to face the slaver when he smelled burning flesh.
Jumping up he pushed Anthanes down.
"Stupid, what the hell are yoiu doing!"
"I thought you'd finished your business with him...Care to get off me? Should you need something from the wretch I CAN try to use a little necromancy to revive the body..."
Niran got up and shook his head angrily
"Idiot, I don't want to talk to a burned corpse. Look what you've down now, he was tied too. Like when you paralyzed me, scared easy aren't you. Can't face people head on."
"It is the way of Boethiah. Why should you care? The dirtbag deserved it."
"Just go to hell," Niran said sitting back down looking glum, but feeling angry.
"So Celia, how about giving me an answer now," Niran asked "Where did you live when you were young."

"Two more days. Just give me that. Then I'll go with you, even if she isn't awake"
Anthanes shook his head. "Hypocrite."
He followed Niran, if only for a lack of better things to do.
Konrad tutted, strolling in an uneven circle around the group. "Well this is all well and good, but we need to move. We should regroup."
"Konrad, we haven't even been in this cave very long, but I agree. Let's get moving again. We can find someplace else to rest later."
"Two more days. Just give me that. Then I'll go with you, even if she isn't awake"
"You really love her dont ye? I'll go out a little by myself... I'll stick around, no offense Shadow" Arco said, giving of a grin to Shadow before he took his scimitars and went out of the hut and started walking around against the mountains..
"Need I remind you that we came here to use it as a place to stay? Besides, we don't know where anyone else is, and the Imperial Legion's out there looking for us. And not with the best intentions."
"Well, they won't stop looking for us just because we're hiding in a cave."
After ARco left, Jonacin went to check on Serene. There was still no change in her condition. "Azura, if you care at all for her, let her be ok" he said to himself. He left the yurt and found the ghulakhan, telling him that they were finished in his yurt and thanking him for allowing them use of it
"No, but the idea is that they won't FIND us because we're hiding in a cave. We can at least rest here for a moment. I don't know about the lot of you but travelling through the ashlands killing foolish slavers makes one VERY tired."
"The Legion will have a hard time trotting through the ashlands for us," Fenris said, yawning. "If they come, we'll know, add to that we'll be fully rested and ready. The Legionaires will be exhausted from the Ashlands."
Celia made a face. "But, why burn the slaver? Couldn't you just fight him or something?"
Celia thought for awhile. She tried a compromise. "Allright, how about some of us go and buy or forage some food, and the rest of us can stay here to get some sleep." She turned to Niran. "Er, I was born in and raised in Cyrodiil to answer your previous question."
Anthanes shrugged at Celia's question.
"I think it'd be prudent to send the Nord and the two slaves we found here if we're going to be sending anyone to buy food. They don't have a bounty on their heads as far as I know."
Arco walked around, no sign for no one. The Ashlands was quite empty as always, with some creatures running around. But they didn't even came close to Arco as he walked around...
"Maybe I should head closer to Ald'Ruhn.." he said to himself, and started walking south..
"They aren't slaves anymore." Niran said "I'm willing to help find food, if Fenris doesn't want to."
"Ofcourse they're not slaves anymore but that just seems the easiest way of referral. What if someone notices and recognizes you and you have to kill them increasing the bounty even MORE?"
"So it's my bounty, not yours. I don't see why you are worrying. I have already gotten my self and execution sentence."
"They aren't slaves anymore." Niran said "I'm willing to help find food, if Fenris doesn't want to."
"I'll go, i got no Legionaires or Guards after me," Fenris said, smiling.
Celia nodded. "Yes, mister Nord should go. I'm sure he will just pound down some food with his voice power." She smiled at the thought.
"Need I remind you, Niran, that you're not the ONLY one here with a bounty? If you're seen in the area and get away they'll focus their searching on this area and we'd be found eventually.
"Let it go Anthanes, Fenris is going not me."
"That was my whole point, actually."
Anthanes sighed.
"If anyone needs me I'll be over there pondering some way to pass the time."
Anthanes then sat down in a corner of the cavern.
As Arco was walking he soon discovered something that hadn't been concealed by the storm.. Some huge prints, could nearly say it was 280 pounds of muscles in those prints. A Nord for sure he thought, Arco sat down on one knee looking at the track, was clearly in armour and headed against the nearby mountains. Arco held his scimitars ready as he slowly followed the tracks...
Celia sighed, exasperated. "You guys."
She then, calmly sat down on the dusty ground next to the little girl. "Do you need some rest?" She patted the spot next to her. "Come over here. You can use my piece of cloths or my knee as a pillow."
The little girl soon fell asleep on Celia's cloths.
-----------
Niran sat silently examining his blade.
How the hell am I supposed to find out now
Arco followed the tracks as it joined to more in front of a cave. Arco held his scimitars ready as he sneaked up to the door and took on his ring of invisiblity and opened the door slowly and stepped into the shadows...
Celia stayed awake, stroking the small girl's head as she slept. Then, she thought she heard creaking of the door from up above. She stood up slowly, and picked up her hammer. "Niran, battlemage, did you hear that?"
Niran stood up and listened, glad his sword was drawn.
"Yes," he said walking to the door cautiously.
"Who's there?"
Arco heard Niran's voice a little deeper in the cave... He held his ring on, as he went in deeper as he could see Niran and the others, pluss a woman and a child. Arco took of his ring around 30 feet away from Niran...
"Hiding in a cave aye?" Arco said confused... "Want to stay the night!?" he added as he saw Celia using cloth as pillows..
Celia jumped as the Dunmer seemed to come out from nowhere. She tightened her hold on her hammer as she asked, "Who are you, mister Dunmer?" She squinted her eyes. "You look like a companion of mine, but much younger... Well, What do you want?"
She stared at Niran when he called the Dunmer 'Arco'. "What in the world?" She turned to the Dunmer. "Another Dunmer named Arco?"
EDIT: It's okay. I edited.
Niran stumbled backwards at the sight of Arco.
"How did you -- you just appeared there?"
Niran sheathed his sword and walked back to the ground where he was sitting earlier.
"Good job Arco, you gave us all a spook."
(OOC: Sorry about that Mergirl, I had already started writing my post when you posted "posting", so I didn't see yours. )
"Thought a man like you wasn't so easily scared..." Arco said sarcastic back to Niran before turning to Celia. "Just what Sel asked the first time too.. and I'm Arezt Colerion" he said with a smile to Celia as he unsheathed his scimitars and walked a little closer as he spoke..
Celia scowled. "Well, whatever your name is, it seems you know Sel." She glanced at the weapons, and became angry. "You little! You stole Arco's identity and his weapons, you fake!" She swung her hammer, nearly hitting the Dunmer's head. "Get any closer, and you will be hurt!"
(OOC: Bye, Konradude! Have fun wherever you're going!)
(Bye everyone! Going now for a week, dread the amount of threads.)
Arco didn't move as Celia nearly knocked his head off with her hammer, neither did he reach for his scimitars...
"You dont need to fear me Celia... Looked like Azura wasn't going to agree with me leaving the mortal world.." Arco said to Celia... "I am Arco.. But its good too see your not naiv, as these guys were when I first appeared.. " Arco added, clearly not lying..
Celia still scowled, still doubting. "How do I know you're not the mage or a servant of his?" She still clutched her hammer. "Arco was a good person, but he's dead, so you better stop playing with me!"
"Well I dont know how to earn you my trust then... I've already met Sel, Niran, Konrad, Fenris, Shadow, Megil, Anthanes and just Jonacin..." Arco said, feeling in away a little bit sad for Celia's behavior, but it was good she wasn't naiv as many others in the group and like him didn't take chances as he had seen what Arcyakt had done..
(Gotta go now... I'll read the post tomorrow)
"Stupid beat, no down the cave, not down the ash-dune," was heard beinged yelled by a familar voice some time later, and responded to by what sounded like a Guar. The sound of a cart clankering into the cave enterance, mailed boots on the stoney floor, and the Guar were heard before Fenris opened the door, revealing himself, a Guar, and a cart the guar was pulling filled with several sacks of foods, and some crates of drinks. "Got the stuff, at the expense of my wallet."
Celia ran up towards the door, her eyes still on the 'Arco' Dunmer. Seeing the Guar, she blinked. "Well, mister Nord. You got us more than some food, I see." She walked outside to inspect the cart and Guar. Satisfied, he patted the Guar. She cooed, "Aw, look at the little guy. He's looks so calm and well-behaved! Good Guar!"
"Thanks, uh, Arco," Niran said to Arco "Celia, it doesn't appear he could be anyone else. Stop being silly." then told Arco "Scared, yes I'm sure I would have approached you had I been scared."
"Yeah, he has the intelligence of a sack of wet ash yams though," Fenris said. "Figured we'd be out of towns for awhile so i got alot, needed a cart to haul it back."
"Well, who is hungry at the moment?"
(OOC:Who did Fenris just call stupid? Niran?)
"Well, who is hungry at the moment?"
(OOC:Who did Fenris just call stupid? Niran?)
OOC: The Guar.
IC: "Me," Fenris said, moving back to the cart and grabbing a sack at random, rifiling through it. He pulled out a handful of scuttle. "This stuff tastes like cheese, dunno why, but it does," he said before stuffing the handful in his mouth and chewing on it.

"None taken," said Shadow to the door. As Jonacin, too, exited the yurt, Shadow sat down to gather his thoughts. He was in the Ashlands, in a tribal camp where he knew nobody. Though the waste was sort of his home, he didn't feel good in this neighboroughood. He had crossed the Ahemmusa in some of his Guild jobs, and it hadn't always been for the tribe's profit... I guess that's what you get for being an adventuring thief, he thought to him self, ironically. Well, it seems I have to do things my way for a bit.
Decisions made, he exited the tent and made it out of the camp as fast as possible. Pulling his cloak tighter around him, he began the dull and difficult journey through the wastes...
