I think so - in crow form way up on a branch in the distance? So you guys are shapeshifters who can go from crow to human?

I did notice 'Rocu Sr but question the family resemblance. He doesn't look at all like a crow. Or did you fall out of your nest as a chick and he adopted you? wink.gif

Not what I've been told anyway tongue.gif

I meant the second pic btw, titled "Came down perfectly". Can you spot him? biggrin.gif

Behind the second white branch from the right. In the process of changing from crow to human. I can even see a bit of red at the top - his Christmas hat, just like yours, is it? biggrin.gif

Last Saturday me and Dad took down one of the biggest trees we've ever done. It's right by the road we use to access the rest of our property and seeing as it's the kind that tend to start rotting, it was way over due. Thankfully it all went well despite we didn't have much room to work with and the fact it had two stems growing in opposite directions. We did use the tractor's wire for this one.

Tree down
Came down perfectly
This is what greeted us coming from the cottage
The result of today's work

Bonus: Dad lifting a birch

Some firewood for the winter? Love the pics!!!

My Ford was suffering from a coolant leak (apparently in the past few months a known issue with Ecoboost motors that's been causing problems), so I sold it and now I own Subaru Forester. Subbies are very rare in our parts, there's a joke that goes like that - Subaru drivers in Europe greet each other by turning on high beams, because they're so uncommon. laugh.gif But from what I've read, they're more common in the US. I made 1,000 km so far and I'm very satisifed.

The 4WD is apparently still the same, so say the Subaru experts. It's a combination of mild hybrid and gasoline, from 2021. It's two years old, I bought it used, originates from Germany, had only 24.000 km on clock when bought, now it has 1.000 km more.

To the best of my recollection, my last personal-photo contribution here occurred back in 2015. That set's most recent image was taken 1998, prior to my near-half-year battle with pneumonia at century's turn, certainly nowhere near those health events occurring during 2008/9 that led to my adoption of the "Decrepit" moniker. No more recent photos of myself exist, aside from those few gracing various official IDs.

Until now . . .

I recently bought an el-cheapo digital camera. Its controls are cumbersome. I'm not yet comfortable with, or fully knowledgeable about, them. Despite that, I elected to attempt a few images of myself, shot with a bathroom wall as background and the camera attached to a tripod sitting atop the bathroom sink. Can't get more glamorous than that! Composition and skin tones aren't the best (far too much red), but then neither is the subject matter. Still, it gives a reasonably accurate idea of what I look like these days (except I have legs and feet and a backside in real-life).

An item of non-interest: The blue undershirt I wear was bought at the same time as the gray undershirt seen in (link) my 1988 photo (link). Being able to fit into those again is a recent phenomenon, a result of dietary changes and a steady exercise regimen.

Enough dilly-dally. Here it is: (link) Portrait of Decrepit at 72 (link)

Nice shot, Decrepit, and I'd say you're aging pretty darn well! Even at its best though getting old is not for sissies.
