Yeah I also tend to change my desktop several times a day. But now I've had this one for quite a while.

So I finally get a screenshot worthy of my new Windows-in-a-Mac system.

Yes, I'm replaying the MQ on the PC to follow along with my story (in most of the details).

And yes, that's Julian aboard Blanco (though with Slof's horses he's not as white as the vanilla Anvil horse, but he's got all his "stallion" equipment!). wink.gif

Julian and Blanco

Mods used in this screenshot: Slof's Horses (basic and extra) with sbSlof's for the saddlebags. There are other mods also loaded, but none of them are apparent in this screenshot.

Is there literally a mod out there that adds visually identifiable stallions based on their, ah, completeness?

Yes. Slof's basic mod provides for readily identifiable stallions, mares and geldings. The wonderful instructions in her read me allow one to (fairly) easily modify almost any feature on a horse, including its sex. Fabulously customizable. Differing styles and colors of coat, mane, tail, tack, accents, etc. And reins! How could the vanilla game have forgotten reins? Slof to the rescue!

@Acadian - thanks for your comments regarding the customizability of Slof's horses. I ran into the CS and made some adjustments.

I think I'll keep this desktop a while though, just because of the composition and the balance of colors in this one. It'll be hard for me to top this!

I don't understand the directions given on the first page of this thread, but I'll post a few of the pictures that are on my desktop slideshow (Windows 7 features a slideshow for desktop backgrounds, so I have quite a few. Here are some of my favorites...)

Shimmering Darkness

Dark Butterfly (I like butterflies...)

Magic Mirror by Anne Stokes (a favorite)

Fierce and Deadly...

OMG I can't wait!!!!

Anne Stokes is one of my favorite modern day artists

Gleaming City of the Elves

This is my "towanda!"

www.annestokes.com, if you're interested in seeing all of her fantasy and goth art. I highly recommend it.

And finally,

"Why do you approach the Duchess of Dementia? Do you seek death?"

These are just my favorites, and my background changes every ten minutes. smile.gif

Wow! You are right, Anne Stokes is fantastic! I love her paintings. Not in the least because the women she portrays actually have clothes on, and do not have ginormous fake breasts.

The idea is to take a screenshot of your actual desktop, not simply the background picture you are using. Just go to your desktop, press Print Screen, then open your graphics app and paste the pic in.

Yes, my bro-in-law's girlfriend gave me the link a couple months ago, and I've been in love with Anne Stokes' artwork ever since. One of few artists who seem to capture the truth of womanhood. (Of course, being a woman makes that easier for her, I think tongue.gif )

Okay, I'm trying to figure this out. But where can I find "Print Screen"? I'm looking all over the place, trying to find it, but no luck... It's probably really simple, but I can't seem to find it... I'll keep looking. If I am successful, I'll update this post, but otherwise, I'm still lost... unsure.gif

If you have a Wintel computer there should be a key on your keyboard named Print Screen, or shortened to PRT SCRN. If you have a Mac try this.

I found the key on my keyboard, but it's not working... kvright.gif I have a laptop, though, so does that make a difference? I'll see if I can figure out my settings--maybe I have something disabled or something...

If you have a laptop, you may have to press the Function (or FN) key at the same time you press the Print Screen key.

Ah, yes! I see now! because the print screen key is also the home key, and home is the primary function of that key. The print screen part is in a little box, and I knew there had to be a way to get it to work...Never noticed the function key before, but it has the same little box around it! The mystery is solved! I shall try and see if it works! Thanks! tongue.gif

My Desktop at the moment I finally figured out how to get the dang thing to work! (Many thanks to SubRosa for helping me to figure it out! Simple, and yet I was lost! lol)

This one is really neat, too.

They'll take care of it, they bring down the hammer hard on anyone that steps out of line but aren't overly sensitive like some forums. The mods and admins here all have my respect, wish I could say that about the official forums.

*Salutes the admins and mods*
