Chorrol.com _ Skyrim cheats and hints _ Locations question...

Anyone know exactly how many locations there are on the skyrim map?...

The daughter is in the 300s at the mo, and she was wondering how many she's got left to find...

BILLIONS!!

According to Google there are at least 719, but I don't know if that includes the stuff added by Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Quite a number.

The best answer I’ve been able to find it “it depends.” Something about different Civil War questlines making location discoverable. The Official Game Guide exclaims that “There are over 350 Primary Locations to discover!” (page 55). My copy predates the DLC.

Apparently “there are close to 200 Secondary Locations, which don’t show up on your World Map!” (OGG page 56).

So I would think the number she is looking for is the over 350 one. The map they are talking about has a list of primary and secondary locations. I am going to count them, but first I need another cup of coffee. And possibly some candy.

This is good to know. Out of all the games I've played and all the characters I've been with, I doubt I've found over 100 locations (that show up on the map). I still have a lot of game in my future.

OK, the map from the Official Game Guide lists 345 Primary Locations and 201 Secondary Locations. That's in the list that's printed on the map. I did not go over the map checking to see if any marked locations didn't make it onto the list. wacko.gif

McB, if she finds a location with a map marker and isn't sure if it's one of the 345, I can check. But I'd personally go with 345 at least until she finds location #346, lol.

Does that include Dawnguard & Solstheim? Or is that just the basic world without these extra DlCs?

No, my copy was published before any DLC.

I finally got around to passing on the info yesterday... embarrased.gif ...*Cough*... laugh.gif ...

It was when a couple of new caves turned up when started building me Hearthfire house outside Dawnstar...Anyways, that's not the point...

Point is, when I told the daughter the 345 thing, she said, "Oh right, that's what it was before we got Dragonborn."

So yeah, been everywhere, done everything!!... laugh.gif ...

Although, there is something strange with her stat thing, it says she's discovered 27 standing stones... blink.gif ...

Also, she's done so many quests (main, side or radiant) that the quest list thingy no longer shows the very first ones she did...Which were the DB ones...Much to my disgust... dry.gif ... biggrin.gif ...Awwww, bless her... laugh.gif ...
