QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 17 2015, 11:44 AM) QUOTE(mALX @ May 17 2015, 10:32 AM) QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jan 2 2015, 05:56 PM) It has a fully modern graphics. I run it at 1920 x 1080 resolution, and everything is fully 3d. However, that said you cannot zoom in very close to your characters to really see them well. Here are a few pics of the game from my vid/pic topic. I got inspired a few nights ago, and rolled a new team of toons - Team TESTeresa calms the savage beastsAela vs. RaiderAela's technomancy makes short work of the thugThe final member of Team TES of the Desert Rangers is none other than Tadrose Helas, the team weaponsmith and door-kicker-inTeresa has discovered the Secret of NIMHSo you really don't see your characters that well. But you do see everything from afar, and have a good look at everything around them. Which is good since it is mainly a tactics-based game. Teresa! Aela! Even Tadrose! How did I miss this? I can barely see Teresa's picture, only her red hair and pale skin - but Aela and Tadrose look awesome! QUOTE(mirocu @ Jan 2 2015, 07:10 PM) I just love how it says Smart Ass Hard Ass Kick Ass I liked that too, but wasn't the last one "Kiss Ass?" Kick Ass is what you do when persuasion doesn't work!

Wasteland 2 is definitely well worth the money. Keep an eye for it on Gog.com. They have regular sales. I am back in the Arizona Wasteland with Persephone and her all girl crew of Serana, and grown-up Lucia and Sofie. This time I am going with Serana as a sniper, and the other three with assault rifles. Though I might change Lucia over to energy weapons. Really though, the Assault Rifle is what rules this game. Because of the problem of too many skills and not enough points to spread around them, this time I when I created Team Deadwalker I used the save game editor to give them each 50 skill points to spread around, and 1 extra attribute point. Basically I gave them 5 skills at 5 points each, on average. It seems to be working out well so far. They can open all the locks they come by, and survive the fights. One tip/trick I learned is not to bother putting too many points in Safecracking. Instead just carry around a lot of dynamite or pipebombs. They do the least damage of all explosives, but they always open every safe, and it does not destroy the contents. Just aim for the door of the safe. You will see it outlined in green when you have it targeted. OTOH, dynamite does destroy the loot inside chests, so don't blow them up. Instead invest your points in Lockpicking. QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jun 14 2015, 01:00 PM) QUOTE(mALX @ Jun 14 2015, 04:16 AM) Oh, you mean in character creation you can just use a screenshot of a character from another game? That is very cool!
Yes. You can use any picture. It just has to be 256 x 256 in size, and in the .png format. Oh, how cool is that! I wish we could create Facegen off photos for our Elder Scrolls characters, lol. Actually, we could in Oblivion. I had a Facegen program that did that for Oblivion made by Singular Inversions; and made a character of my friend Phil, but couldn't get the "SI" imprint out of his forehead without paying for the full version of the software, lol.

I really like the exterior shots; the lower four screens - really looks like a wasteland I'd want to explore, lol. Those "Slicer Dicer's" look scary, especially attacking in a group that way and that big red circle! Whatever the heck went on there looked painful! These are great shots, I know I couldn't play it because of all the reading, but I love seeing you cover games I've never seen or heard of before! That SI - Yeah, the paid version of SI was really high; and just to mod a game I couldn't see paying that - a lot of people couldn't. I think the guy who did those celebrity NPC Followers did pay for the full version; he is the one that got me to download the free version. It did an amazing job, but for the SI in the forehead, lol.
