The people at www.rarlab.com won an award for their program WinRAR. For one day (July 30) they have decided to make it free!

It will take many times before you get a successful page, took be about 10 tries before it worked. And be sure to enter a correct email address too.

For those of you that don't know what WinRAR is, it is a very nice compression tool for the file extension .rar and MANY others. If you don't have it, or something better, get this now!

Their normal website is still running at normal speed

After today they will stop handing these codes out. Get one! So you don't have to press close on that little window every time you use it!

I guess I'm too late because I got a message that the contest is over and it says don't worry that your email message will still come ... but since I didn't get to fill out an email that wouldn't apply.

I already have an older version of WinRAR on disk, was just looking to update to something newer. No loss.

I missed it also but I use 7-zip which handles zip, rars, and many others. It's totally free and works great so I really don't need winRAR anymore. wink.gif
