What the heck is that thing in the distance anyway? Looks like a banner of some sort. I'm thinking maybe it's the Thalmor headquarters, but then that wouldn't make sense because I believe that's up where it's snowy.

Does look kinda like the road leading toward Solitude. Dang, I can't even begin to guess!

A place everyone loves to clear out, which is right on the border of two holds. Yet, neither of these two holds have snow in them.

Then again, maybe you're running a mod which removes snow. A-ha!

I'm going to say Fort Dunstad??? Nah, that can't be it. There's a slight incline going on in the picture. Dunstad exists on flat land.

Ah heck, maybe you've got a mod which adds hills. Fort Dunstad, final answer!

Nope, not Dunstad! None of my mods affect hills or climate zones. For graphics I only run Vivid Landscapes, Flora Overhaul, Simply Bigger Trees, and Immersive Fallen Trees.

That is a very vanilla location with only the banner added. You can sort of make out the iconic structure through the trees, but I'll drop a hint - to the right of Kirin is a big White waterfall.

Okay, so I am determined to solve this one, now that I've finally got a day off / free time. And I decided I'd use one of my lifelines. In fact, I used my Phone-a-Friend lifeline. My friend, of course is Google. And here is what Google came up with. Basically, all the banners for each Skyrim hold.

And then I'm comparing each of those banners to the one in Kane's picture. But Kane's picture was taken at night. See, because if we can match the banner to one of the holds, at least we can narrow the answer down to at least one or two holds.

I can't do this though! That pic is too freekin' dark!

So I don't know. How about Helgen? Helgen is at the top of a hill, if we're coming up from the Falkreath area. Could be Helgen. I'll say Helgen for today.
