Before we start, a note on Posting Personal Information

Remember that this is an online community, and just like anywhere else, anyone can read the posts and so it is unwise to post any detailed information about yourself, such as your real name or any type of information that could let bad people get at you. Please remember to use Internet "streetsmarts" here or anywhere else online.

Also, do not introduce yourselves twice. And please do not post on this thread if you do not want to tell us a little bit about yourselves. and also please do not respond to any of the posts here.

Thank you, and feel free to start posting......

Edit by Acadian: Since our rate of new joins is comfortably low, I'm suspending the restriction about not responding to new members who post here. Please feel free to respond to new members who introduce themselves here with a 'welcome aboard' post. smile.gif

Hi there! I am stargelman!

^ look like this ^

I am the webmaster of w4o, but you probably know that already. What else is there? Well...I'm a huge Elder Scrolls fan and have played Arena (when it came out), Daggerfall and Morrowind. I started w4o pretty much as a collection of links to Oblivion related interviews that just wouldn't fit in my signature over at the elderscrolls.com forum anymore, and eventually, it grew and grew. I started to add more and more content, and after a while realized it was too much for me alone and hacked together a Content Management System that would allow others to edit pages as well. These others are Sinder Velvin, Alexander and Darkwing. I really hope this board turns out to be useful and that we'll all have a good time here.

Oh, and I'm also the one you can talk to about technical issues with both the board and the website.

Posted by: Alexander Feb 12 2005, 03:28 PM

well my name is Alexander, not the real first name but the name I go by online.

Like Stargelman said I joined not so long ago as editor on his site and now with much convincing on my part, we have this forum aswell.

I like things like playing games mostly rpg and rts and browsing the forums and listening to some metal and of course reading.

And I do so hope that this forum will attract many people and that it will become a great place for us all.

time will tell there

that's how I look on the site smile.gif

Posted by: SleepWhilstYouWork Feb 12 2005, 03:38 PM

Well my name is an Argonian name "Sleep-Whilst-You-Work" really it should have an 's' after 'Sleep' so its 'Sleeps' that would make more sence. But that darn typo!

Anyway I'm sure all of you (probably) know me from the ES forums and thier IRC chat.

I like any kind of game be it RTS, FPS, Monopoly, RPG, MMORPG. Fell free to talk to me about anything biggrin.gif

Posted by: Freddo Feb 12 2005, 04:14 PM

I'm me and have been a TES fan for quite some time smile.gif I like geléhallon quite a bit and Nyponsoppa aswell smile.gif

I'm Archie, I'm a defossilized protochicken from the jurassic era. I like horsies, bird seed, and Freddos.

Posted by: minque Feb 12 2005, 06:24 PM

Well I´m minque and some of you know me from the ES forums already.

I was asked to be a moderator here, and I´ll do my very best in trying to keep these forums a nice and friendly place.

I have played Elder Scrolls III for almost 2 years now and I still enjoy it. I also like to write stories, which you folks will notice later on.

I am (like Freddo) also really fond of geléhallon and nyponsoppa ...... wink.gif and köttbullar :lickinglips2:, all of what we quite often serve at my house because I have 3 children... biggrin.gif

Posted by: Murmel Feb 12 2005, 07:23 PM

you problably wont recognice my nickname im pretty new to the elderscrolls forums i have played morrowind for about two years. and i am swedish, svensk så hej på er alla svenskar!

Posted by: Ravensky Feb 12 2005, 09:26 PM

Ahoy peoples! Ravensky here - your local crazy person that hasnt played Morrowind in over 8 months!

Hmm...uhh...ya...I've been around the ES stuff for a long while now (when Morrowind was still new-ish), and I'm always (well, 99% of the time) on the #elderscrolls IRC channel on irc.chatspike.net

Posted by: upia Feb 12 2005, 09:44 PM

Well My name is Upia (I'd love that to be my real name aswel).

I like many games such as (Yes you guessed it) Morrowind, Call of Duty, Max Payne, Stronghold Crusader, The Sims, Anything else that is playable and dosnt involve football.

Erm, Ive been playing Morrowind since i saw my friend Akir, playing it round his house, the next day i went out and bought it and implayed it ever since, and that was about two years ago. Then about a year ago i found out about the official forums and my addiction to mods started.

I am not allergic to anything i have found yet (apart from Penicillin, Methicillin, and i think its vericillin, or something like that)
I also like to type every word with a capitol letter, (i tried to refrain from doing that here though, i am starting to control the urge for that)

Loads and loads of things annoy me, so many that i typed them up in word and had twenty-five pages of things i hated. I love taking pictures of wildlife and beautiful scenery, and have acumilated over 2 gb of photos on my pc. (fortunatly i try not to take pictures of myself)

I enjoy typing lots of things on forums biggrin.gif , not to annoy people but because when i start i cannont stop myself...

Anyway thats most of the things about me.
-upia-

Posted by: treydog Feb 13 2005, 01:14 AM

Some of you may know me from such public service announcements as.... no, wait, that's Troy McClure from The Simpsons. Let's start again.

I am Treydog- a screen-name I chose because my long-haired dachshund is named Trey. I like to imagine him sitting at the computer, typing with his little dachshund paws....

I am also the author of the Story of Trey, an on-going MW Fanfic obsession. Thanks to the kindness of my readers (many of whom I see here), I have been able to continue the writing in between unavoidable bouts of having to work for a living.

Last, I want to take this chance to say a very big "THANK YOU" to Stargelman, Alexander, and Sinder Velvin for giving us this place to talk and exchange stories and ideas. I look forward to working with everyone to make these forums a place people like to visit.

Posted by: Oozae Feb 13 2005, 05:10 AM

Well, what can I say, my name is Oozae and I enjoy playing strategy and RPG games. I have been playing Morrowind on the Xbox for about 3-4 months now.

I love elderscrolls lore and go to The Imperial Library and the GameBanshee Forums. Occasionaly I go to Fanfiction.net and I also read Trey's stories.

Posted by: Dantrag Feb 13 2005, 06:29 AM

Uhhhh....I am....MOVE YOUR LAZY EYES TO MY NAME!! lol. Anyways, I have been a morrowind player for about a year, uh, need to know more about the deadra, yeah that would be cool. And yeah. You now know me.

Posted by: Sotha-Sil Feb 13 2005, 10:38 AM

Greetings fellow TES lovers, I am Sotha-Sil. You may or may not know me from the elderscrolls.com forums. I just learned about this website from Alexander's signature, and figured I'd join.

I like to write, eat cheese, and play Morrowind. But not necessarily in that order. smile.gif

Posted by: deleted caracter Feb 13 2005, 11:48 AM

hy my name is deleted carcter :paperbag: because i accidentaly deleted my god like caracter after not copying save files before formatting hdd...
but it's not a big deal because i played EVERYTHING there was to be plyed and descovered in Morrowind... i've played it more than a few years, i love to listen Metallica while playing Morrowind, haven't played almost a year, favorite class is figther/thief, and i'm rather nice caracter... tongue.gif

Posted by: Ambberfox Feb 13 2005, 02:38 PM

hi folks! smile.gif not a lot to tell about me...

- I'm a MW fanatic
- living in northern germany
- still going to school
- I like to draw, work with Photoshop and other graphic-programs

and yeah, short note to the swedish people here: jeg kan også snakke norsk så jeg forstår dere hvis dere prater på svensk! biggrin.gif

Translation:

I'm also able to talk norwegian so I'm able to understand you guys in case you speak swedish.

Posted by: Darkwing Feb 14 2005, 12:00 PM

Howdy peeps.

What can i say about myself?

Hmm......no idea, ask the rest of the team for gossip. I'm just your average Joe from an average town wink.gif

Posted by: Ze Milanio Feb 14 2005, 12:07 PM

Hi folks, it`s me, Milanius... again :paperbag: You might remember me from such movies as "Silence of the Guars" and "Being Fargoth the Bosmer", where I played significant episode roles... you might also remember me from the official TES Forums as a lazy, spamming b-tard who has no self-control when it comes to tasty food threads, bad forum humor, caffeine or latest PC hardware (for which I have no money :< ). I could talk all day long about all my interests (food, coffee, alcohol, videogames, music, food, movies, books, coffee, food) but you really don`t need that kind of punishment at this moment - so, if you don`t know me by now you`ll get to know me in these boards... oh boy, will you ever biggrin.gif

Posted by: Anghardel Feb 15 2005, 12:23 AM

Hello all smile.gif

My name is Anghardel, or just Ang; of course, this isn't my real name--that'd be Stephen, and if you wish to call me by it then you can.

I just felt like joining the forums here because I think that the title fits my mood; "Waiting for Oblivion" smile.gif. I've been waiting ever since I heard the announcement, even the rumors beforehand, and now I'm here.

This site looks excellent, by the way smile.gif

I'd let everyone know things about me, but you will probably learn about me as things go along, so I'll save everyone the straining read.

Posted by: General Edor Crespin Feb 17 2005, 02:35 AM

G'morning all,

I'm a fan of Morrowind, the game, and the Elder Scrolls lore in general. TES is the only fantasy that's ever really attracted me. In fact, I like it so much that I write stories based in its universe. smile.gif My other major interests are computers, Star Wars, RTS gaming, science fiction, and old sf books and magazines. I collect old science fiction books and magazines, and by now I probably have in excess of $500 worth (that's only what I paid for it, there's some stuff I have probably worth rather more).

Feel free to email me, AIM me, or catch me on IRC, I'm always open to a good chat. smile.gif

Posted by: Magefire Mar 8 2005, 12:23 AM

I feel a bit of a fraud signing up to this site since I am not waiting for Oblivion at all - I've only had Morrowind since November and am playing it for the first time. Unfortunately, I have very many things which keep me from playing sad.gif so my progress is slow. On the other hand, it gives me time to think about my next moves.....

I originally joined the original TES forums to get advice from such experts as Alexander, Hett, Monica21 - and, well, you know who you are. And I've stayed, but these days the first things I check are the fan fic posts. It's weird, when I was active in a Jane Austen board, the fan fic was so dire I avoided it totally. I've never found such a high quality of writing in this genre. Maybe I should get out more, I don't know....

Anyway, it's nice to be here. Pass the skooma pipe and mine's a Cyrodiilic brandy. Let's have some music, anyone got a fat lute?

Posted by: Aki Mar 10 2005, 03:09 AM

Im Aki (Duh tongue.gif ), and i came here from the ES boards. Dunno why....

You guys must have a magnet or something.

biggrin.gif

I absolutely suck at intros, I like Morrowind, love just about anything wolf related, like sci-fi and fantasy stuffs and...*rambles on*

Oh, and i like Werewolves..

Posted by: jackal50 Mar 10 2005, 05:42 AM

Well my screen name for everything is jackal, but it's usually taken so i've been using jackal50. I've used that name for every single game profile i've played. You may ask why? and the answer is simple... I saw the movie The Jackal, with Bruce Willis, Richard Geere, and Sidney Portier. It's my favorite movie, of all time. (in it's own genre) and The Jackal is my hero. That said I'm new to this forum, just joined today. This is the second forum i've ever been a part of, the first was the ES forum which i just joined about 2 weeks ago. Well i've played Morrowind ESIII for about the last year and a half, or whenever the expansion came out for xbox. I can say that my favorite game types are RPG, MMORPG(don't know what that stands for mabye you could tell me...i heard that Final Fantasy was a MMORPG so i like it) and FPS's...pretty big gap to bridge. But what can i say. I live in Canada, and am attending my final year of high school. Well that's about all i can think of for now, so i hope this will turn out well.

Sinder Velvin's Edit: MMORPG stands for Mega Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

Posted by: W4CK03 Mar 11 2005, 09:22 PM

HI im new here. Im from Montreal Canada, am a big fan of TES3 and really looking foward to Oblivion.
I liked games like Gothic 1&2 too. I highly recommend them to people who havent tried them.
English is me sencond language im french, so thats why you may see grammar and spelling errors from time to time. Hope people here have better things to do then criticize someon else's writtings. I always get smart@ss comments on other forums.

My screen name is pretty much the only one i have ever had except most of the time i spell it wacko3 instead of making it like it is now.
First time i ever chated was like 5-6 years ago on a PC that wasnt mine, took me 30 minutes before finally entering a chat room cuz i could find a user name lollll I finally went with wacko and its been my nick ever since.

Posted by: Wolfie Mar 16 2005, 11:49 AM

Yeah hey guys, i mainly wonder around the official TES forums. I'm from Australia and i'm a big TES fan.

Posted by: Channler Mar 20 2005, 06:46 AM

Hey everyone,

My name is... well its Channler and sometimes I magically become The on the IRC.

Lets see I started playing TES about 1 1/2 ago when my big bro brought it over on his Box (XBox). I am addicted to it and I love setting my acrobatics to 3000

I play RTW, TES, CoH, CoD, BF1942- and occasionally BFV, big PS fan, and I won't even list the countless RTS/TBS games I play

I don't think Archie likes me to much (I bug her on the chat channel), I spam, AAAHH! Real Monsters!, alot on the channel

What else. . . I am a bit of a amauter writer, but not even a tenth of TreyDogs writing ability's

Thats it.. BTW this is my second post!

Posted by: Xan Mar 23 2005, 02:28 AM

Heya people... I'm new here. smile.gif Although I'm not new in the ES business. I am one of the librarians of http://til.gamingsource.net/. Name's Xan... Xanathar. smile.gif

And this is me, more or less... I can't find a better pic of myself, so I raid Iron Maiden's archive for picture. smile.gif Btw, I'm one of the fans of that band.

I am troika. Apart from that, I haven't got much of an idea who I am at the moment. I've been out all night drinking, and thought I'd sign up here for boats and giggles as someone once said.

I also have a nice oblivion mod in the works, but it's top secret... unless you belong to the right group of people... wink.gif

hey, i am ninja pirate, same as on tes-boards, on IRC i can be found as "brm", and i live in holland

Posted by: Pinehead Apr 4 2005, 09:27 PM

Howdy. I'm Pinehead and I'm quite new to the wonderous internet (I live out-of-town, with really crummy internet so I never really got much to do with it. 'Round end 2004 we got some new cable planted in the area and I started at the official TES forums) Some might know me of the official forums, but most won't. I'm 15 years old and I live in the netherlands. I like the Bosmer and I love to eat (I'm not fat or anything) especially cheese and meat (we ARE little cannibals) and I hate school. I don't do much, but if I got my hands on something, I can get it done quite well (in my opinion). I'm planning to do some modding for oblivion though I'm not great with computers. Maybe some voice acting or something. I need a better computer first and I'm using my good speechcraft to persuade my parents to buy me a really nice PC. Anyway, Hello! (Hope I didn't ramble too much)

hello I'm phate, I just joined today but I've been a member of the TES forums for about a month

I enjoy writing and you can check out my first story in the fan fiction section its called The Serpents Dance- a tale of two assassins

(joint venture by myself and Burntsierra)

I enjoy writing and playing morrowind GOTY and i can't wait for oblivion

Hello, my name is, quite obviously, doctor, though in real life it is something that is not a doctor, im 13 and have, i think, been playing morrowind since it came out but i dont know the realease date. I am interested in many things, those including foreums about just about anything, playing games, reading books, going out with friends and ice skatig, though there are many more, most of the time people are to lazy to type doctor so you may call me doc and ive been on elderscrolls forums since march the 10th 05 and am surprised i didnt sign up sooner, i am generally very active on forums and come up with loads of crrrrrazy things  and am allergic to nuts.
i also quite like writing poetry, but i only 'enjoy' it in english in school as its better than everything else, but write every once in a while. i found this site in the post "#4 deep analysing picture" in oblivion general on tes forums. i hope this has been an insight in to my very wonderful fabulous life wink.gif and that we can all be friends, see you on the forums.

Hey I'm Venom_X and I've come here from the TES forums. I'm part of the Library of Tes F'ruum

Posted by: raithen Apr 9 2005, 11:56 PM

Well, here goes...

I finaly came here to show the white flag. I give up. That's it. You win. No more forum making for me. I joined here because Alexander said somthing to us (the Library of Tes F'Ruum) about switching our topics and threads over here.

I originaly said I would make a forum for our little mod, but I was turned down. Then Alexander pmed our leader, Troika, to switch over to this community. It was agreed apon. I became realy angry, but Troika explained to me why we weren't using my forum for the mod.

*sigh* There's just no place in this guar-eat-guar world for the little guy...

By the way, I'm the same raithen from TES forums. I've been on there for a healthy year.

I first started posting at the offical Morrowind site and hope to...blah blah blah...more boring stuff. After which I'll make a book for the xerxys library to be turned into a mod.

Hello, I am Bakudon Storm, Sorry that I do not have much to introduce myself to, I am one of the quiet types, but I do make convosation to something that I am most interested about.

Posted by: Epy Apr 15 2005, 09:10 PM

Hannah, let's start a support group. :paperbag:
Anywhoos...

Good day, folks of the Waiting 4 Oblivion board. smile.gif
(In case you miss or scroll by it, I'm one of http://forums.waiting4oblivion.com/viewtopic.php?p=45#45 now)

Well, I go by the name of Epy here. In the mortal realms , though, (I hope everyone got their half-mortality buttons at the door) I am known as Thomas and hail from Norway. You know, that place with ice-cubed buildings, igloos, whale chocolit and polar bears running around downtown. Like with Canada, It's a common misconception that we actually have seasons, as well as otherwise thriving and civilized means of living. wink.gif

When there's time, I play lots of games, read, learn to draw, go window-shopping for puter stuff/games, RP, play the drums, martial-arts, collect stuff, browse forums and study.
I am, like many others, waiting for Oblivion to come down upon us, and have been active in the community since October last year, right after the announcement. Loyal elderscrolls fan since Arena, played and loved them all. Current favourite would be Daggerfall.

And now, the squish-splatter cliché. I am the pie-mark. *ducks*

I was also asked recently to join the moderating team of the board, and before I realized what I had done (oh, the pain), I was captured and woke up a few days ago with an awesome logo (thank you, Sinder) and a selection of tools I'll need to make sure you folks have a good time here. Most people here are nice and well behaved, and the mod team is simply wonderful (minque rocks!).
I'm glad I get to help out here, and so feel free to ask me anything and let me know if something's preventing you or anyone else from having a good time. Goes for the rest of the http://forums.waiting4oblivion.com/viewtopic.php?p=45#45 as well, I'm sure. biggrin.gif

Lastly, a big thanks goes out to stargelman for the terrific site and the whole w4o team for their contributions to the community.

See you out there.

P.S
I just may take bribes (gifts/donations appreciated), depending on the quality of the offer; specifically, and especially, the cookies. :lickinglips2:

Evening folks. Or afternoon. Or morning.

Right, I guess a plain Hi is most suitable and convenient after all...

So, err... Hi!

Just lil ol' (or not so old really) me here, Rane. A few of you have probably seen me posting over at the official forums, rambling about stuff and posting a plethora of useless nonsense. Or then you haven't seen much of me... yet.

Anyway, I'll just put some general info about myself here then.

Hullo. biggrin.gif

I'm Zarrexaij. You may (or may not) know me as the crazy dude from the official Elder Scrolls forums.

I'm a 15 year old female Freshman. I love art, I love dragons, I love fantasy, I love reading, I love writing, and I could go on.

Therefore, I do NOT want to be mistaken for a male, despite the fact my character is indeed male.

I must put a warning here: I'm very quirky. And very insane. :madman:

I'm Chumbaniya, although that much is probably clear from the startlingly helpful panel to the left of this post. Surprisingly enough, I like computer games. Bet you could never have guessed that. Other than that, my interests include philosophy, reading, and getting away with doing as little work as possible.

I see lots of people from TES here, unfortunately...

No, seriously, I thought it'd be nice to introduce msyelf here. Some of you might know me from the official Elder Scrolls boards, where I am known under the same name, same avatar and same signature. (Gee, I'm boring.)

P.S. I have joined these forums after being repeatedly asked so by a certain individual whose name I shall not give here. Hint, hint... wink.gif

Posted by: Lucidarius Jun 11 2005, 10:05 PM

Hi everyone. smile.gif

Usually I played strategy games like Civilization, SMAC, SimCity, Dungeon Keepers etc., but then I heard about TES 3: Morrowind. But my pc couldn't handle the game so I thought about it for 5 whole minutes and bought a new (P4 2.0 Ghz) + the game. biggrin.gif

That was the single best decision in my life (so far). tongue.gif

Unfortunately, the pc can't run SpeedTree's demos or ATI's demo so I have already resigned to buy a brand new when Oblivion is released. But hey, what need do we have of money if not to use them for the things we really, really, badly want?

I plan to try my own hand at writing fiction when I step into TES 4: Oblivion. I hail from Denmark so the writing is both good fun and English exercise.

If you've been on the official forums any length of time before coming here, you've probably seen a few posts by me, since I kinda live over there a few hours every day.

I'm a big fan of Morrowind and a lot of other computer games. I'll play basically anything... 'specially a goor FPS...

Of course I'm really looking forward to Oblivion... *drools*

I used to be addicted to online gaming, but hated the amount of time needed to be competitive, so when my husband showed me Morrowind, I was hooked instantly. The same basic game style but I could walk away when my kids were curled up in a corner complaining about starving to death...lol

Anyways, I've been lurking on the ES forum for a while and thought I'd come check it out here too.

Greetings and howdy-do. My name's Tom Smith, and I'm a folk-rock musician (mostly comedy), medium-level hacker (using my powers only for Good), and a gaming nut since 1977. And I cannot wait for Oblivion.

Part of the reason I'm such a big fan of Morrowind is that I've been playing RuneQuest in every incarnation since it came out in 1978, and Ken Rolston (Head Designer on Morrowind) wrote RuneQuest material for Chaosium for a decade, and it shows in so many of the interactions between the Houses and Tribes, and in the backstory of the different Gods, and in so many other small ways.

Anyway, I could go on for awhile about all manner of Stuff, but this is mostly to say Hi.

Hey, I'm Aeroflux. I've been playing the Elder Scrolls series since day one (actually got the game as a christmas gift on my hospital bed-long story) and Daggerfall is my favorite thus far.

Morrowind's art direction kinda defeated the renaissance feeling for me, but I still play it on my XBox. Oblivion sounds like the cure for all RPG ailments, can't wait. I imagine I will spend many weeks at a time, just exploring the vast forests of Cyrodiil.

What is more to say? Well, im a programmer. Hm. Im a big fan of the Ultima Series too, ive even made some Tunes for the U8: Exile Remake Project ...

I guess it would be best to just check out the links in my signature if youre really interested in my person smile.gif You can find many mp3's ive composed myself on my personal website. Greetings all. My name is Matt, and I'm a PhD student in Biochemistry at The University of Chicago. I've been playing Morrowind for a couple years now, and I have to say it is definitely my favorite game ever. I have spent more time on this game than is good for me, I'm sure, but whenever I take a break to play some other, lesser game, I inevitably come back to Morrowind. I'm eagerly awaiting Oblivion, which I hope will be at least as good as Morrowind, maybe even better. I'm planning to build a new computer for Oblivion, but I'm waiting to get Bethesda's official system requirements so I can make sure I at least meet them, if not exceed them. Well, I guess that's good enough as an intro. See you all in the forums.

I never introduced myself on the Official Morrowind forums even though I've been there for a long while. So I'll introduce myself here since I just joined tonight.

My name is Tyler and I live in a small city in Arizona, USA. I'm gothic, male, a Hellenic Pagan (I follow the traditions and rituals as the ancient Greeks), and I'm a nationalist (towards ancient Greco-Roman standards). I'm a huge computer nerd (among being nerdy at other things). And I've been with my girlfriend for a total of about 8 months now (damn time flies). And I think that's about it in a nutshell.

I never know what to put in these 'introduce yourself' threads, which is probably why I generally avoid them. I don't know why I didn't avoid this one, I guess I just kind of fell in... Anyway, I'm an avid gamer and I've recently (withing the last 2 years) picked up writing as a hobby, hopefully my first novel will be out sometime within the next 2 years.

Hello, I'm Vasius Nuv. I'm 14, A keen writer, and I'm currently working on a Fan-fic.

When I first came to TES series, I really didn't see an interesting thing. Then I got bored one day and decided to play it again. As I got more involved with the game, it grew on me and have been a big fan ever since.

Well, that's a brief out-line of the being which is 'Me'.

My interests are: bumping old threads because mods at the official forums never penalise me for it, writing stories and riddles, and posting long posts. I own an Xbox (1 not 360), a PC (as you can clearly see), a dead PS2 and a dead PS1. I'm planning to get an XBOX 360 next because it seems like a great console with just as great games on it.

Been lurking here from time to time after I saw the link on another forum. Just received an email from USPS that the game was underway, and went here to get it confirmed from others.

Just upgraded my PC, so I'm all set for Oblivion:

Posted by: Katilia Mar 24 2006, 08:35 AM

Hello all,

I just want to say :GASP, comes up for air:
I was looking for an Oblivion forum that was a lot less dramatic and a lot more useful than the Bethesda forums.
I hope this is the forum I have been looking for, but time will tell.\

My first RPG experience was on the old Commodore 64. I can't remember the name of the game but it allowed players to create a game world much (well not much, but) like TESCS does today. It was the first editor I ever remember((damn, I wish I could remember the name(the main story revolved around the euphrates river)).

Adventurer Construction Set (that just came to me, not sure if that is correct)

Anyway, I am 35 and since the C64, I pretty much stayed away until Civilization. I pretty much lost a lot of potential party time over that game.

Then doom hooked me the hardest. I still remember my cousin networking his two computers together somehow. We would play deathmatch for hours. (Actually was Doom 2) The funniest part of this was he had two computers. One played doom at full screen with pretty good fps. The other computer was not that good and to get a decent fps he would run the game in a window that was about 3 inches wide by 2 inches tall! My, how games and computers have changed over the last 15 years or so.

So, I tend to check this forum more often in the future, and also hope that it will become more popular. Oblivion really needs a forum that is much more calm and allows useful info to be passed around without the flame and spam. (important stuff seems to be getting buried under all the 'I got it', 'do you got it', 'its awesome', 'it sucks', 'will my computer run it' type threads.

goodjob.gif
Here's to a good experience to all.
cake.gif

p.s. I would have ended with a  or :foodanddrink: but cake was the best I could come up with.

Posted by: Fethenwen Mar 27 2006, 07:52 AM

Umm, hi.

I've been lingering around in the Elderscrolls forums a lot, but now I've found this nice litttle corner, and I must say this is a nice forum :)

I'm from Finland, and I play a lot of computer games, and I dig all kinds of fantasy and scifi and the whole lot.
Oh, and I'm 22. And female.
And my cats name is Snowball.

Posted by: itsupthere Mar 27 2006, 09:55 AM

Hi, my real name is Tim. If you want to address me as Tim in some of your posts then please feel free to. I'm interesting in modding Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but I have no idea where to start. I like playing video games, listening to music, playing bass guitar, photography, painting, and mixing songs. I have a level six Nord Barbarian in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and I've had various characters in Morrowind. This forum seems pretty cool. I haven't seen any real trolls so far, so it's looking good. If the forum admin need a moderator or something, just let me know. I've done it before, and ran my own forums so I'm not ignorant in the workings of Invision Power Board, or phpBB.

Hello, this is my first post on this forum and I would just like to introduce myself. I am a member of the US Armed Forces, currently at Fallujah, Iraq. My job keeps me on the base, so when I am not standing my watch, I am free to myself. I make the time fly by playing games. I have been eagerly anticipating Oblivion for several months and my wife just mailed it to me this last monday, God bless her. I can not wait to get it and start the experiance. I look forward to chatting with you guys
about what I am sure will be a wonderful experiance. I decided on choosing your forums because I was impressed by the apparent presence of people of some intelligence as well as the lack of people of apparent immaturity that I noticed on the official elder scrolls boards. So thanks for providing the great atmosphere. I hope to learn from all of our shared experiances and maybe even pass on any notable observations I come by...

Hi everyone,
I'm Sunboom 'The Solar Exploder', a 14 year old Elder Scrolls fan that lives in Holland. English is not my main lanquage but I think I can speak it quite well smile.gif. Besides TES fan I'm also Nintendo fan, I own a good old Gameboy, a Gameboy Advance and a Nintendo DS. Too bad my computer's too weak for Oblivion, and I really don't have money for an Xbox 360. I do have Morrowind, I was totally addicted but right now I don't play it anymore.

Hello everyone, my name is Kora and I'm 17 year-old highschool student, from Romania, in Eastern Europe. My interest in RPG's of any kind was sparked when a cousin brought me Baldur's Gate, to play after my exams, to relieve myself of the tension.

And, as they say, its been pretty much history from then! biggrin.gif

Currently, I'm residing in a small, rented apartment, with a computer I bought last summer, on what I earner during a part-time job. The only bad thing about it? I very much doubt that it is strong enough to run Oblivion . . . indifferent.gif

Salutations!

I am Shiz. (Insert jokes about name here)

I come from the Internet bearing gifs. Heh, if you're a nerd you'll get it...if not...I'm a failure.

I don't really come from the internet, though I'm sure one day I'll have my conciousness placed on the net. That would be sweet. Ahem, actually I'm from Canada. The rainy part of Canada. The rainy west coast of Canada.

I've been playing Morrowind...since it came out (Not to be confused with TES, I only started on Morrowind). I rented it at first, then bought it. After I beat it, I went out and bought the Platinum Collectors edition for the Xbox, then I bought the Game of the Year edition for the Xbox, then the Game of the Year edition for Computer. So yes, I own every version of it for Xbox and Computer. I recently got Oblivion and have been playing it non stop for weeks now.

You'll see me in the Role Playing section mostly. Oh how I love to role play.

Ciao for now! (Rhymes, such wit.)

Posted by: Ibis Apr 25 2006, 07:36 AM

Hiya all! I don't think I've really introduced myself here, although I've been posting in some of the threads and reading a lot of others.

I am an artist who lives with my computer tech hubby Cain in Florida. He is recuperating from an injury right now and so we do a really lot of gaming. We play alot of MMORPG's - like Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Eve Online, Lineage, Dark Age of Camelot, Diablo2, Delta Force2 and Black Hawk Down. And some others. We pay for the same game each month so we can play together and we switch around so we don't get bored.

But Bethesda games have been our very favorite ever since Arena. We have that Daggerfall & Morrowind on w98 and still play them sometimes. I am still modding for Morrowind even though I'm now playing Oblivion. I have all the .bsa unpacker tools, just haven't gotten around to opening my Oblivion data files yet for retexturing purposes. But I have done alot of retexturing in MW. I have 3ds max5, which I got to learn to model in MW - but I never found a suitable tutorial and couldn't figure it out on my own. But now I discovered a website that has a column dedicated to beginning modelers and their questions and shared knowledge - - so I might give it another try.

So anyway, it's really nice to be here and I like this site quite a bit. I found you guys after the link to Elder Scrolls.com stopped connecting in my startup window at the beginning of Oblivion. Does anyone know what happened to them or maybe my link just got broken.

Posted by: Khajiit Overlord Rainer Apr 28 2006, 07:09 AM

Hail from Elswyer.

Rainer in real life is 15 years of age (however, that will change in 14 days!)

He is also a coveter of the arts, such as Music and dance, although Rainer does not really dance except for Phys Ed. He loves it all the same though.

What he really loved doing though is Playing in the band, and is currently a member of his school Sr.Band, Sr. Jazz Band, And his local Marching Showband :The Red Deer Royals.

The Royals are an internationally accliamed band and have travelled to Italy and Germany the last time Rainer checked, but they have gone many other places. This summer we will be heading to Austrailia, so if you live Around Newcastle And Sydney, Keep your eyes (and ears) open.

And of course, Rainer loves games, especially the Elder Scrolls. Even thought Rainer has only started last august, he loves the Series and it's rich and Diverse lore, although at times it seems very confusing. Rainer's personal Favourite Book from TES is the Daggerfall Editon of "The Real Berenziah", with "Ahzirr Trajijazaeri" (say that five times fast!) being second.

Seeing as how I forgot to do this, I thought I'd better do it.

I'm Foster. I'm 23 years old, and am 4 weeks away from my final exams, which award me the magical title of "MPharm" if I pass them. I'm a Pharmacy student, having already done the pre-reg bits (I've worked 6 months in a community Pharmacy, and 6 months in a Hospital as a Pharmacist). But...ahhhh... I hate pharmacy. So pretty much in 4 weeks I'll be doing naff all.

Intrests... travel. I've been to 14 different countries, and go on random, spontanious "I hate this town so I'm getting the first flight out of here" holidays. Two weeks back I got bored writing my dissertation and went to California, Nevada and Arizona for a week - for example. Uhm, lived in Hong Kong for a few years too. Other intrests include History, mythology, computer games... pretty much anything other than pharmacy. I also scuba dive and speak sign language.

I live in the horrible town of Bradford, England.

Although I've known of W4O since its creation, (or within a few days of then) I somehow never made an account for the forums here until not-too-long ago. Some might say that's one of the many signs of my innate, powerful talents in procrastination, but Shh! emot-ninja1.gif

At any rate, I don't really think I'm being TOO presumptuous when I think that for many, I need no introduction. However, many will note that I've actually introduced myself on the official forums no less than three times, (since the old threads get pruned so much) I figured I may as well re-write my own description here, for further bafflement to all.

I am known, here and beyond, as Nottheking. This goes for not just the official forums, but as far as I can tell, also for any of the Elder Scrolls-related sites or threads on the Internet, including many, many I've never been to/heard of before; This is not just my name for forums, but also for many other types of account, and also how I am spoken of in places, as I noted, I've never been too. I've been using this name since, gee, I can't quite remember when. Sometime in 1999 or 2000, I think.

I do warn people, there are some "impostors" out there; chiefly, I've found a recent proliferation of accounts using my name on some Chinese sites for World of Warcraft, as well as some health-related sites, and some kid with a LiveJournal accounts. However, I think it might not be all that off for me to assume that the style of my writing (or at least, the verbosity laugh.gif) is fairly unmistakable.

I forewarn people; thanks to the tools of the Internet Age, typing my name on the Internet is almost like speaking aloud the name of a demon; there's a chance you may summon me. (however, I tend to arrive rather late if I do...) But chances are I'll hear (er, read) what you've communicated nonetheless.

I also forewarn people; thanks to the tools of the Government Spying age, often merely SPEAKING my name aloud, or at least, saying it in a phone conversation, might also draw my attention. However, since I'm not privy to the NSA's information, I'd actually doubt this. tongue.gif

At any rate, enough about YOU, let's talk about ME! laugh.gif

As some might remember, (or simply able to find out with a quick check on the 'Net) I'm a 19-year-old college student currently in Michigan. My room is filled with countless books, notepads, whole computers, and computer parts, all from various epochs of world history. Currently, I'm finished with my "junior" (third) year, and going into my fourth (and possibly final) year of undergraduate studies, majoring in political science and computer science, and minor-ing in legal studies. I have a habit of leaving my fellow students bewildered.

For around 15 years, I have been playing both console and PC games. The list of games I've played probably stretches into four digits, and covers every (legitimate) genre there is. I've tried a wide range of things; I've hammered around with a variety of games, though when it comes to editing, I've found like like using the Construction Set most.

Most recently, it has become clear that Oblivion has perhaps become my most "obsessive" game ever; within the first two weeks, I had hit around 150 hours of time playing it; not necessarily good for the ending weeks of school. Thus far, a little over two months since the game's release, I've played more than 350 hours of the game, and spent perhaps an additional half that much time in the Construction Set. Preceding the release of the game, I managed to accrue 7,000+ posts on the official forums, more than I've posted across everywhere else on the Internet combined. (3,000-4,000 posts)

More recently, I've been able to put down Oblivion more and more, and in fact, have actually been playing other games more than Oblivion. Also, that means I've been coming online more often, which wasn't entirely taken as a bad thing, it would seem.

My life is far from games, though; I also read a lot, and occasion, engage in "physical activity." And obviously, I spent a lot of time on the Internet.

On the subject of my avatar, it's usually of Mr. Blonde, from the original Perfect Dark. It also might be of Graham Jones, from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. Or, it might be some other video game character, which is, as far as I've been using avatars, what it's always been.

Finally, we arrive at the part you were hoping for: the end. If anyone has any questions, (I don't mean about this post, though questions about this introduction are fine as well) feel free to PM me, or perhaps to simply start a thread asking that question; at sites I actually frequent, simply asking a question that I could answer may draw my attention as well.

I'm currently wondering why a number of emoticons were lost in the transition from W4O to Chorrol, among other things. That aside, pleased to meet you all, and it's understandable if you're pleased you don't have to meet me in real life. biggrin.gif

Hey, you may know me from the TES forums as the guy who has been spamming his way to more stars!

Or maybe not.

I enjoy good quality dicussion, intelligent comments and not being censored like the dominican inquisition are after me; henceforth implying that I do not enjoy the mods on my boat and DO NOT like the restrictiveness of the TES forums.

I hope to enjoy myself here and not be forced into stealth mode by the mods.

HAIL YOUR NEW CAESAR!

Greetings, My name is Chalur. Not my real name, my parents are not that mean tongue.gif . Anyway, I'm quite interested in hte history of the provinces, especially the Black Marsh. Not only are they the swampy homelands of my favourite race, the Argonians, but it is also quite mysterious. Anyway, I like drawing, I find it a nice way to express that little corner of your brain that you never kenw you had until you lay that pencil on the paper. I Only played Morrowind and Oblivion. I played Daggerfall, but it was sutch a long time ago I forgot. My mind still holds a grudge on me. I have an akward sense of humor, trust me you'll see...

Um......

Posted by: Legato Jun 2 2006, 02:15 AM

Hello, and thank you for the generous welcome I've received here. I am known both here and to many of my friends offline as Legato. On more popular websites you may know me as Legato2012, but nevertheless I am still Legato. I founded the Dark Shrine Forums long ago, but the members no longer see it as necessary to return and post. I'm strictly business at first, but if you don't moderate me to a distilled shell I'm pretty wild in the end. I'm a fan of the arts, both music and the written word, though I'm not a fan of dance or theatre. I hope to enjoy your company for a long time to come.

Posted by: Ramirez Jun 3 2006, 01:32 PM

Well, it's been a while. Some of you ma recognise me, others may not. I'm known to various communities as Ramirez, or Sensei Ramirez (these days though, I'm not too fond of the 'Sensei'). As well as some other names when I would rather not be recognised...

Known about this place for a while and have dropped by ocassionaly but never bothered to sign up. Hopefully my reputation hasn't preceded me to this place... A few people hold a certain dislike of myself, all for perfectly good reasons (I have a habit of 'putting my foot it it', so to speak), and when that happens, there are dire consequences.

Haven't played Oblibion yet. I'm currently waiting to do a major hardware upgrade, as this old thing would melt if I put Oblivion on it. That, of course, needs to wait until I manage to find myself a place of employment. I've just finished my 3 years of studiyng law at university, and need to find... well, anything that will pay the rent.

Other than that... I'm blatantly left wing, and a fan of most things that would give rise to me being labelled as a geek. Hell, I met some people from Star Trek Voyager last week.

Well, can't guaruntee I'll stick around forever. Half the time when I join forums and end up becoming very active, I end up having to leave for all manner of reasons. So... lets see if I can avoid that happening here too

Posted by: CornedBeef Jun 4 2006, 02:39 AM

What's happening, everybody? I go by CornedBeef, I'm 16 (soon to be 17) and live in Colorado. I've had Oblivion for several months now and am still totally addicted to it. I also like music, tennis, skiing, and cars. I am a member of Warpstorm, which is a totally silly forum (http://warpstorm.com).

Posted by: Tellie Jun 7 2006, 03:13 PM

Hello, many of you already know me on the forum, but for those who dont. I am Tellie, previously called Telendil Delvanni, untill I got a nameswap.

I've been a member here since november, but have browsed this forum, since may last year. I'm a fan fic writer, and I'm writing "The Tale of Telina Delvanni", which you can find in the fan fic section.

I spent most of my time in the fanfic section, but that have now changed, and I'm visiting the roleplay forum more and more. So, thats a bit about me, so lets just thank the great maker (thanks Starge), for giving us this forum, and not closing it down. smile.gif

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Jun 19 2006, 10:16 PM

Greetings, I like to refer to myself as The Metal Mallet. A nickname I kinda created myself, which is loosely based off the nickname 'The Yellow Dart' if you ever have visited the homestarrunner website. I like it because I think it sounds slick and it mentions a musical genre I enjoy.

Anyways, I'm 18 years old and reside in the frigid lands of Canada (even though I live in the warmer area of the country, Ontario). I discovered ES when my friend purchased Morrowind and let me create a character for it, since then I was hooked and as soon as we got an X-box, I got a copy of the Game of the Year edition. With a new computer I decided that Oblivion i would purchase for the computer and now I'm enjoying it as well.

I am also a fan of literature (fantasy specifically) and music (many forms of rock). I believe I'm planning to go into the electrical field after highschool, but I'm still giving myself a year to decide.

The Fan Fiction section drew me into this site but I'm sure I'll check out the various forums around the site. Hopefully we'll get to know each other.

Posted by: Pushtrak Jun 26 2006, 09:23 PM

I am Pushtrak.

Some of you may know me from TES, some of you may have joined my own forum, and some of you may not know me at all.

I'm 21, 22 in August, from Ireland..

I guess i'll leave anything else for threads.

Posted by: DoomedOne Jun 28 2006, 03:18 AM

Well, my name persona name is DoomedOne. I'm relatively new here (the 111th member to join these forums). I'm trying to get my name changed by can't figure out how. I like reading, sports, snowboarding, any soft drink or snack food with the label: X-treme. I also like fishing for cat fish in that one Sesspool they have in Montana. I should note I put catfish there in secret not long ago. I haven't caught any yet, they must have been good hiders.

Oh, and I love the daily show, so if you watch the daily show every single night and then all 5 re-runs the next day to reabsorb the comedic genius... well you're a little obsessed but if you watch it like once a day as often as you rememberm then you have something in common with me.

I also play the guitar, and I'm a total hippy in most respects, not a forced hippy, just the culture I grew up in got mixed up with my beliefs of equaloity and sustainability.

I'm caucasian, I'm a counselor at a Lesbain -> Straight Camp. I'm devlishly handsome. I used to be a drug addict. And that's about all. Nice to meet you all, enjoy your stay at my forums. Or... I mean dantrag's forums wink.gif

EDIT: So the mean poster below me won't upstage me, I'm going to mention more necessary info in likness to the info he posted.

I'm 17 years old.
I like most kinds of rock, basically anything good with a guitar in it. That excludes country, pop, and techno, and that electronica stuff. I like nearly everything else as long as it's indie.
I'm 1/8th Norwegian, 1/8th Dutch, 1/4 English, 1/8th German, 1/8th Irish, 1/4 Welsh. I live in 'merica but most of my family in the US moved here in their life time. I have family all over the world, and we have a general vacation attitude with each other, it's like a timeshare program, but I plan to be homeless but because I'm family it won't matter so it'll be like I'm not paying for timeshare.

Hi, my name is GunsnArmor. I have been on forums before, and I love The Elder Scrolls, so I thought I would come here. I hope to get along with everyone. smile.gif

But I need to ask a question. I was looking at the Role Playing section and thought it looked enteresting. I don't really know what you do, but I did read the rules. Can someone explain to me what you do? I would really apreciate it. biggrin.gif

Edit: I forgot to tell some about myself. I was born in Michigan, United States. I live in Indiana now. I am 13 years old. I am a male and a Christian. I like to animate and draw pictures.

Hello, I'm Andres Indoril, a modder and a reviewer of the project called Tamriel Rebuilt (working on the Morrowind side of the project). I joined this forum some time ago, decided to start reading and posting in here now tongue.gif And that's pretty much it.

Posted by: Kurt Hawkeye Nov 26 2006, 11:28 PM

My name's Brittany, born in Texas, raised in San Diego, and living in Alaska. Twenty-two years old, and into all things TES. I got hooked on Morrowind, then Oblivion completely knocked off my socks and stole my life smile.gif --and I wouldn't go back. My SN is based on my character, a Bosmer Ranger/Thief who I hope to start writing fanfic about very soon. My favorite kind of fanfic is following the actual plot of a game through with a character of your own invention. I would start with Morrowind, but, given Black Hand's fantastic work (which inspired me to join the forum in fact), and given my deep interest in the character of Brother Martin, I believe I will start with Oblivion. Hope everyone enjoys!

Posted by: canis216 Nov 26 2006, 11:45 PM

Strangely enough, it seems that I haven't posted in this topic--until now.

I'm canis216. Some may know me as "that one guy who writes about that ill-tempered argonian assassin with the awkwardly-long-and-hyphenated-name" and indeed, I am that guy. I'm also 23 years old, and living in Missoula, Montana, after growing up in the Midwest and bouncing around the American Southwest a bit. Currently I'm biding my time in graduate school; teaching writing to freshmen college students and playing competitive ultimate frisbee on the side. During the summer I like to hang out in the most remote places in the lower 48 states--I find jobs that involve tramping about in wilderness areas.

I've also been known to howl like a wolf on occasion.

Posted by: Lord Revan Nov 28 2006, 04:56 AM

Well, I've been on for months now, I'm Lord Revan. Most probably know me for writing three stories in the Fan-Fiction section, but I have posted one time or another in every section by now.

I live in the southern USA, and my dad is an OU football fan (though I'm not in to sports). I'm almost out of Middle School, and intend to go to College.

I might not be a sports fan, but I play all sorts of video games including Oblivion (which is the reason I came here), Starcraft, Halo, and StarWars. I like some fantasy and Sci-Fi (reading and writing).

The stories I've written are about a race of humanoids that were left behind on Nirm eons ago, and predate the other races, by millenia. I've also began to write about my Oblivion character, and recently joined the RP section in the "To Hier is Human II" story.

Well, I'm a simple teen that spends a lot of time looking around the forums and sporadically updating my stories and visit the Role-Playing section.

Posted by: Shiniku Dec 8 2006, 04:19 PM

Greetings friends, I am Shiniku. Some of you may remember me from various other forums, for those who don't, shame on you!
I used to be great, not anymore.
Shiniku is really more of my alter ego than the actual me, if I like this forum I'll be the real me otherwise I'll probably get banned. Which tends to happen a lot. Oh well.
I'm a fifteen year old male, and I hate being a teenager, because I have everything that I used to make fun of people for. I draw a lot but not that well. I enjoy typing long bouts of nonsense but I don't enjoy reading it. Overall I'm a friendless creepy wreck. And I'm single, hey ladies.
I'd like to think that I've matured a bit in the past few years, but the old me would like to say I'd conformed a bit.

But no one cares, hooray. This looks like a fun forum, maybe. I might not be too active, especially if there is no serious debate.

Posted by: Doc_Hux Dec 27 2006, 11:02 AM

I introduced myself back in September but never began actively posting, but I won't be posting at the official forums anymore due to slight issues between myself and the staff. As a result I'll be more active here.

My name is Doc Hux. I like the Elder Scrolls, and the internet. I also like RPing but your RPs here are at a whole other level from the pitiful little ones I throw together. I feel too intimidated to consider joining.

Posted by: jack cloudy Jan 9 2007, 05:43 PM

Hi there, I'm Jack Cloudy, also known as cloudyman, Jackie and other kinds of nicknames people think up here. smile.gif
The name comes from a certain character I'm writing a story about and you will get to know him once I've actually written the chapter in which his name is used for the first time. I kinda liked it, so I used it.

I live in the Netherlands, which is the little country below the sea of which Holland is a province. Yes, Holland is a province, not a country. And below the sea? We built a lot of big walls along the coast to avoid the Atlantis scenario. biggrin.gif

I've been mostly active in the fan fiction area and have in fact managed to write and finish a few stories there, coming down to about 211 pages in word, not counting short stories and unfinished ones. So yes, I am a bit addicted to writing. Other addictions include Morrowind, Luper Alkad (Lup for friends.), Chrysamere and Telekinesis.

Since a short time ago, I've also joined the roleplaying section in which my addictions include, Jumping (Tarhiel style but with safe landing), more Telekinesis and Liches. I have serious problems with keeping my characters from becoming ubergods which can lead to funny situations at times.

Anything else? Well this thread is past the 200 so will it be locked? Or is this particular thread not ruled by the rules?

Hi,
I'm Fargoth, also known as Myself. I like TES and a lot of other RPG games. In Morrowind and Oblivion I am known as a dark elf named Draver. I favor destruction, (short)blade, mysticism and marksman.
I don't make any mods, but I tryed to change some details (example: make the Emperor young). I joined the house Hlaalu. I enjoy to be the part of these forums, even if I'm yet Evoker.

G'day guys

I'm Malpense the Dark, usually just Malpense to make things easier. I've been hovering around these forums for a while and have just started posting my own stories over in the fan fiction section. I live in Australia, Tasmania to narrow it down and I'm just about to start college. I'm interested in ancient history, computer graphics and design and of course- video games. I recently got an Xbox 360 so I've been playing Oblivion and Gears of War pretty hard. I'm also a fan of the Knights of the Old Republic games.

Cheers,
Malpense

Hey, My name is DavidBeck and I joined Chorrol.com a while ago, but never got around to introduce myself.

This is probably due to the fact that I cannot start new topics!!!

I can add replies, but I can't post my own questions!!

Everytime I do, a message appears stating I do not have permission.

I've tried contacting the forum administrator, but everytime I click on the link to send him an e-mail, the same message appears.

What is going on!?

I posted this information here hoping that someone will read it and try to help me.

Thanks for fixing this problem! biggrin.gif

Edit: Question answered via PM.

Hey all.

I'm blockhead, the same blockhead you see on some other Morrowind-related forums. I have been playing Morrowind since it came out and have created many MW plugins. I am not sure if I can link external stuff here ... but a google on blockhead & Morrowind should get you there wink.gif

Recently I have become interested in Morrowind fan fiction (both reading it and writing it). A member of the chorrol forums who I know from another forum lured me here with tales of much Morrowind fan fiction to read. wink.gif

My Non-Morrowind interests include electronic music, linux.

I'm not saying my age here biggrin.gif

Posted by: Zelda_Zealot Mar 24 2007, 02:12 AM

Hello there blockhead, you came to the right place for Fan Fiction. We are chock-full of all kinds of stories, some good, some great, some amazing. I have to see a bad one yet, (though I haven't read too much of them, so I don't know if my opinion counts) I recommend The Story of Trey (that might not be the correct name, I haven't kept up-to-date with it for a while) to start off with, then maybe you coule post some of your own or read some others *cough*mine*cough*. wink.gif

EDIT: Oops! I just realized you are not supposed to respond to any posts here! Sorry guys, I only read those rules once, ages ago. Feel free to delete my post if you wish.

Hi,
I'm new here, and Jalnos is my character from Oblivions name.
My real name is Hamish and Oblivion is what got me into TES. I would like to get xbox live to get Shivering isles as soon as possible. Argonian is my favourite race, and Chorrol is my favourite town.
I love to write fantasy fiction stories, so I will get something up in that forum ASAP.
Apart from TES I like to play video games, sports, and to meet with my friends.
Hopefully I'll make a positive impact on the community, because this place looks great.
See you around the boards!

However, I am an avid supporter of the preservation of the environment, and I love nature and the outdoors. Some of my favorite activities are backpacking/hiking, kayaking and white-water rafting, along with writing about my experiences... and writing fanfiction, of course! Right now I play more Morrowind than Oblivion because sometimes I feel that Morrowind is a bit better because it's more weapons and it's very hard to find a good weapon in Cyrodiil I think.
Anyway, I'll be hanging around... See ya!

Posted by: Ethelle Apr 7 2008, 09:02 PM

Hello to all members of Chorrol,

I have heard much of this forum, so I finally decided to join. I go by the name Ethelle, though many years back I was known as Fayra. And here's my CV: wink.gif

I'm 21 years old currently, and in the coming twelve weeks I'll obtain my Bachelor's degree in Biology. And if all goes well, I will be starting my Neurology Master's courses in September, concentrating on Animal Behaviour and Welfare. biggrin.gif

Other than the above described boring stuff, I love to write, read and draw, especially when it's related to Elder Scrolls. I also love to walk, hammer away at rock formation for fossils (no, seriously) and to visit foreign countries as long as it's not above 25 degrees Celcius. I especially enjoy nature abroad because we have no nature whatsoever where I come from. Also, history interests me, so I can usually be found in a museum when the weather is bad. 50% of my spare time I spent at my computer though. biggrin.gif

I think I know most of you here already, so now it's time to browse the forums a bit.

Posted by: Blackdemon Apr 7 2008, 10:33 PM

Hello. I just joined today. I don't know what to say but is is probably a good start to introduce myself.
Then Ecce Homo !

I'm 50, widower, heterosexual and animist. I'm not interested in politics. My favorite colour is blue and I drink too much coffee. I have a ferret pet, a small yellow car and I collect gas masks.

I play tesc games for some time yet. I think I began playing games in 1981 or 1982 and the first TESC game I played was Arena but I began to like the series with Morrowind. Now I prefer Oblivion because I found it easier to write my own stuff in oblivion than in Morrowind.

I shall probably not post very often because I have little to say.

Howdy,

just a quick reminder;

QUOTE(Minque)

Also, do not introduce yourselves twice. And please do not post on this thread if you do not want to tell us a little bit about yourselves. And also please do not respond to any of the posts here.

thank you smile.gif

Hi everyone! I'm a writer back at TESFU. I spend most of my time, of course, writing ha and I like to hang out with my friends. Also, I like to make people laugh, though you won't see that on here. Check out some of my stories, please.

Posted by: LeTren Thundakk Apr 14 2008, 05:24 AM

I'm LeTren Thundakk, (or Thrall of Warcraft, if that means anything to you.) I'm 18 years old.

I am VERY proud to call myself a Tolkien, DnD(and all that it is an umbrella for: Forgotten Reealms, Dragonlance), and Elder Scrolls fan. I try to write as much as I can, when I have the time and energy.

I haven't enjoyed television since they canceled Courage the Cowardly Dog AND Futurama, so I don't watch a whole lot. I enjoy Sean Bean movies (Although he dies all the time.).

I hope to become a better writer and person as far as I can age.

Posted by: 0rimus Apr 14 2008, 06:19 AM

My RL name is Steven. I'm 16, 5' 7" (163cm, or so), and very stupid, and extremely intellegent at the same time. I usually prefer Oblivious (intentional mispelling) over Morronwind (again) and despite my clever play on words, just now, I love both games dearly. Alas nothing can beat killing people in Oblivious with Soilwork, Tool, SlipKnot, Scars of Life, Dope, etc. playing full blast. Having suffered indescribable pains and worldly realisms at a young age, I find myself with more depth and a degree of wisdom beyond my (or anyone else's) age. This of course an arrogant assumption, and the first step to being wise, is to never claim to be wiser then anyone else, because no one is. Through logic I can rip worm-holes in the time-space rifts, transporting myself to my own demetia ridden mind, distorted by aforementioned experiences, choice in music, atheism, and watching too many (all) of Tool's music videos. Then I wake up and realize I'm still at school. I enjoy sleep a little too much, same with food. I'm suprisingly athletic despite seeming outwardly average, or thin. I love very few things, but the things I do like i delve into with ravenous hunger for further understanding. Example: I like swords, so I went and did extensive research into sword design and metallurgy, with no other reason then I wanted to. I also like to say redundant/obvious things. I rant alot.

Hello Everyone

I am the Sphinx

My heritage as a warrior and magician goes back as Rameses II on Earth in another galaxy.

I have been placed here on Nirn by the nine to clean Tamriel of evil .

The nine pleaded with Ra for help in preventing the destruction of Nirn.

I have full automomy to carry out my duties thoughout Tamriel but alas i fear the daedra are aware
of my presence and have reportedly created a clone of me.
Very ittle is known of him other than he is a member of the dark brotherhood and may rule his own realm in oblivion.
My last contact was an elf "Ubbacanno" his last words were "beware the ruler of Colovia".
He also spoke a little too enthusiastically of Nanatala and the resurection of the Aylieds i doubt that will happen as i have hidden the crown in a secret location.

I dont know what to make of all this.
Now that the Oblivion crisis is over my Mages and i remain vigilant to prevent the collapse of the empire.
Pehaps members of of this community can contact me here on this website or visit me on a covert basis in Chorrol,
as i now head the fighters guild and even may pesuade you to join me in restoring peace and eradicating corruption from the legions as a member of the guild.

Yours sincerely.

Hi I'm Lisa! I'm 28, and from California. I've been playing Oblivion for over a year now, and I love it more than ever. It truely is the best game ever made.
In my freetime I love to make art, including Oblivion fan art. I've also been writing an Oblivion fanfic since August. I'm on alot of other forums and sites (Planet elder scrolls, Lucien Lachance forum, DeviantArt, fanfiction.net, etc...), so some of you might have already seen me around, or seen my drawings.
Glad to be here too! And I look forward to making new friends. smile.gif

Hey everyone.
I'm Deus13 and I'm a huge fan of the 'Oblivion' installment.
I have, however, never played any other installment. As I was learning that Morrowind was great and as I was about to purchase it, 'Oblivion' came out. I've played oblivion countless hours. Is it worth it to go back and play Morrowind?

It's definitely worth it In my opinion, though Morrowind is quite different from Oblivion in a number of things and you may find it quite a bit more of a challenge.
I'd also like to direct you to this section;

for a lot more info about Morrowind.

Oh, I didn't see this...

Is mise Silver-Fin, I've been playing Oblivion since it came out, but was heavily disappointed by the main-quest storyline and the emphasis on graphics over content. However, the AI and the Dark Brotherhood quests certainly made up for this.

I still believe Morrowind was better, though.

Hey, my name's Josh and I'm an Elderscrollsoholic. Aha, sorry, couldn't resist. Actually, I say Elder Scrolls, but regretably, I've only ever had the chance to play Oblivion, and from what I hear, many Elder Scrolls "Veterans" as it were, consider the older installments to be better. Then again... don't we always consider what we grew up with / what we were first introduced to to be the best?

Anyhow, I digress, I hope to be postig here quite regularly, and I look forward to talking with you all.

Hello.

My name is Philip, i come from denmark, and has had Oblivion over a year now.
i played morrownd for a couple of years before i stumbled upon morrowind, and if i am to go into the main history behind the games, i am stil a morrowind fan. But then again, in oblivion i think there are so much more history in the single factions.
i would wish i had tried some earlier instllments just to get more of the history inside, but i guess looking through most books in oblivion will go. i even found some personal favourites, but don't ask me of names, i just recently returned to oblivion.
i am searching for shivering isles in denmark as i have allready bought knights of the nine, which i think is a cool expansion, though it has the an annoying feature, i don't like having to be forced to lose my infamy to get that armor sad.gif
i've read some stuff about the shivering isles expansion, and it seems like a fun game. so i guess i'll have to continue the search in the stores were i live untill i find it, or get in the mood to find it on the net.

i am 16, and have absolutely no life...

Octavia here. biggrin.gif I'm still fairly unknown since I didn't have Internet access at home until March last year (first time I confess it online!) and still shy away from big forums. I've been playing Morrowind for many years and Oblivion since the beginning of last year. I started modding last year when I finally purchased Morrowind for PC and I love it. I still haven't played through Bloodmoon or Tribunal for some reason and I mostly ignore the main quest completely.

Where I'm mostly submitting my junk:
Fan fiction: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1238545/Octavia_the_Headbanger

I think I'll submit my fan fiction here and lurk a bit.

Hey, I'm Seratin.

I'm pretty new to the Elder Scrolls verse so I'm probably going to get a bit wrong at first, so if I ask a stupid question just ignore it. =P

I've only played Oblivion so I can't really comment on the whole Oblivion/Morrowind thing. Oblivion's the best game I've ever played. If Morrowind really puts up as much as it'ds reputation says it does then I'm sure I'll love playing that too.

I'm currently around halfway through Oblivion + Knights of the nine. For those who have finished the game, fair dues. It's massive. smile.gif

I'd like to think of myself as a half decent writer, but until I know more about the Elder Scrolls universe I won't be writing.

So anyway, thats enough from me. wink.gif

Hello everyone, I'm Ahrenil although my real name sounds alot less exotic. I'm currently 16 and studying for my A Levels. I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls since Morrowind and have been thinking of writing some stuff, I have a chapter of a small story done so far, though I may wait for more.

My hobbies include playing the guitar, both Acousitc and Electric, and karate at which I am a red belt, or 4th Kyu in my style (Go-Kan-Ryu). A part from this there is not much interesting about me, however I am glad to be here, and amazed by much of the writing and skills I have seen. Hopefully one day I can become a contributing member here.

Hello everyone, my name is Illydoor (not my real one but I thought I would make it sound Obliviony tongue.gif), I joined this forum after seeing a link to a competition from UESP Oblivionwiki, so here's a bit about me:

I'm 15, I live in Nottingham, and my hobbies are sports (mainly martial arts, in which I'm a black belt 2nd Dan), writing, a bit of drawing and playing on my PS3. I like watching Naruto (Ultimate Ninja Fan), Scrubs, Skins, and those kiddy star wars animation things on sky purely because they are completely awesome XD

I have two Oblivion:TESIV characters, one's a lvl 33 Nord named Losgord (I know, I know say what you will) with full madness and daedric (damn crazy-boat grummites made getting the former all the more sweeter). The other is named Illydoor and is a Breton.

Sorry for the length but I do like writing biggrin.gif.

P.S I know the legend that goes by the name of Bean from my 40k days

Posted by: Denn Apr 3 2009, 07:35 PM

Hey there, I just recently started playing Oblivion, and find myself hooked on it. I remember playing Morrowind years ago, but I never really liked that one too much. I'm also a writer, and I've been thinking of writing some fan fiction. I haven't written anything in some time, though, so I'm afraid I've lost most of my touch, but hopefully it's worthwhile.

The only RPGs I've played are Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Legend of Dragoon.. and a bit of Morrowind. Otherwise I'm a FPS gamer, COD4, COD5, and the like tongue.gif

Other than reading, writing, and games, I snowboard and play hockey, and skateboard. Snowboarding is the best by far, though!

Anyway, that's me, now to start writing..

I've been looking for him for years to inquire him about a book deal, but he has pretty much vanished from the internet alltogether. Hello. Name's Kaylee. First bought Morrowind when I was a wee lass. I've had Oblivion since it was... $50? (Around that amount). Just got Shivering Isles for about $10. Umm... I'm currently listening to The Game by Disturbed on my iTunes and if I hit the shuffle button it changes to... I'm Your's by Jason Mraz. Yeah, I'm a little schizo like that. Explains why I love Shivering Isles so much. Anyway, I'm a PC Gamer Assassins Creed, Fable I, Sims I, II, and III... but especailly I. There are about seven million games in the "Grave Yard" drawer- games I deleted to make room on my computer a long time ago. A sample of a game in there is 'Riven' (Do not laugh: that compassion is hard). I'm not going to buy WoW. I got the ten day trial and wasn't impressed. It's not Elder Scrolls that is for sure. Anywho, I'm a real noob to this site and originally posted this little monologue in the Funny Videos chat. I still don't know how I did it. So... that's me! Oh my goodness, I know! Try to contain your excitement... And yes, there will be a quiz.

Posted by: LadyTaurucis Jul 11 2009, 07:23 PM

Some of you may know me from the official forums... I'm that person everyone hates. heh.

Well, after a year of drifting around, I've finally come back to the Elder Scrolls series... I've heard that this place is pretty decent to hang out at, so I decided to join.

Anyway, a little bit about me...

My hobbies are gaming and writing. The majority of my posts on this forum will probably be in the fan fiction section, I guess.

Personality-wise, I'm a mentally unstable headcase.

I like big bots and I can not lie.

See you guys around...

Well then, I suppose I should stop by and say hello. I am Darkom, teenage writer, critic, and roleplayer, and have been a member over at Bethsoft for about a year now. I have written about four or five stories, never finishing any of them, and have become somewhat known as a giver of decent and lengthy critique.

My interests include writing, philosophy, psychology, American Football, history, go, and track. To the surprise of many people I am a freshman in high school, a football player and a straight A AP student. I live in Northwestern Georgia, and am a bit of a shut in.

I hope to improve my writing and others with meaningful critique and helpful comments. My most recent story is called "A Brotherhood Reborn", and it follows Lucien Lachance and his master as they rebuild the Dark Brotherhood to make it into what it is (supposed to be) during Oblivion. I am about to finish the first section, and hope to post it here as soon as I post three more times smile.gif

Thank you all, I look forward to my time here.

Hiya, I joined here today but have been lurking for quite a while.

My persona is mALX everywhere on the internet, so if you see it, it is probably me.

I know (or have seen) several on here from the BGSF, which as most probably know is in a state of upheaval right now, so I expect to see quite a few additions in the upcoming week, lol.

I like single player RPG's, and def roleplay them. I enjoy writing and reading fanfics on TES world and Lore.

My squirrel avatar (when I figure out how to get it on here) is a little a little ambiguous, so I will say I am female, lol.

Welcome, and I hope you (and a certain Khajiit) find a happy home here.

Thanks Treydog! Is there a place for the Khajiit? I peeked around and only saw contest places.
