QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 17 2016, 07:33 AM) Now there´s the style I remember from yesteryear! Ha ha yes indeed! I just couldn't keep away in the end so I've been busy modding the nuts off my install preparatory to diving in...

QUOTE(Acadian @ Nov 17 2016, 12:05 PM) Wow, Anvil's looking very good!
Thanks! I'm still working on the world, but it's going well so far. It's good to be back actually, I've got loads of ideas and stuff...

And we're back Meet Kallis: She's from the same place as Eilidh - ("Princess Grumpy" to Mirocu!) - and she's arrived in Anvil late one evening, having been sent by Eilidh's father, to find out where she went, as she disappeared seemingly without trace some 2 years before... Agents have already paved the way, and left her some kit, thankfully, and she has a contact in one of the shops in Anvil, for the moment though, she needs to find a place to stay. It doesn't help that someone stole the contents of her travel bag whilst it was sitting on the harbourside. They left her 10 septims, a poor exchange for the notes she had stored in there... ...hmmm...

QUOTE(Acadian @ Nov 19 2016, 12:55 PM) Nice job on Kallis! She looks very very elven. I know how hard it can be sometimes to avoid hair clipping with big elf ears but you certainly did.
Thank you! Yeah it was tricky to say the least, but she looks pretty much like she does in my head so that's the main thing. I am really looking forward to this "session", as it were, I'm interested to see where it goes and it's been fun trying to work out how Kallis fits into my canonical universe, along with my other characters! We shall see...!

Ha ha, she may look cute but she's a trained killer I'll have you know! I'm hoping the weather will change soon, I've not really seen Cyrodiil in the sun this time round... Thanks guys, it's good to be back! So far I've only CTD'd once, so it's an improvement..! QUOTE(ghastley @ Nov 19 2016, 03:40 PM) She's quite green. Does that mean she'll have an Irish accent? Of course she's irish, all of my elves are irish - (well, sort of)... This post has been edited by PhonAntiPhon: Nov 19 2016, 04:58 PM

Morvayn, who was holding a cache of items for her, and was supposed to be providing her with further information, proved to be infuriatingly tight-lipped, not only about Kallis' next move, but also about the part where the cache that was left for her - (for which he was *very* well paid) - appeared to be empty but for a few quivers of arrows... Apparently in this country one can't, even allowing for one's status, summarily execute people who have "displeased" one, even if they have done quite deliberately, and shown a woeful ignorance of a contract to boot... And Kallis does the rounds of Anvil, searching for anything that might provide her with some clue, or indeed anything, for that matter... Finally, after no small amount of traipsing and only after Kellis' irritation levels were about ready to peak, she met a beggar by the name of "Olvus". "Ye look someone else I saw once..." says he, gesturing vaguely at her . "Rillee..." Said she, not holding out much hope. "Aye." He says, squinting at her through the rain, his rheumy eyes watering and wavering. "An' I might remember too, if I'd enough fer maybe some soup, or something..." Following a transaction which, if correct, suggested to Kallis that soup in Anvil was extraordinarily expensive, the beggar told her that her remembered seeing a woman, a bit like her and with armor like hers, though slightly paler of skin, heading north and east, and couple of years ago, up towards an inn called "Brina Cross"... It wasn't much, but it was more than she had, so Kallis resolved to follow the trail, at least to there. She had a map, but that was stolen from her belongings on the harbourside. As far as she knows, the road from Anvil eventually leads to the Imperial City. Everything flows to the city, in any land, so it's a start, she thinks... On the way out of Anvil, one of those wierd Kat Things they have in Cyrodiil tried - (and failed) - to rob her. Curious about these... Kagits...? She took a closer look. Very strange... It's still raining.

Some more shots: Kallis is not a patient woman, and what patience she has is being worn particularly thin by the loss of her possessions in Anvil, including her camping equipment. Additionally, everything is trying to kill her. Fortunately some of these things leave tents behind, one of which she used to sleep in. Unfortunately, she lost her way and what with being cloudy, she's gone somewhat off course, ending up here: Wherever "here" is. Not wishing to draw attention to herself she bypassed the buildings and continued to head what she hoped was east and north, hoping to intersect the road where the inn is. As luck would have it, she able to discover that was more than a little off course by interrogating a bandit. Heading south again, she came across a fort, where the residents tried to kill her - (apparently the greens ones are Orcs, they have them where she's from, only her ones are far bigger, and don't die as easily)... Anyway, now she's really p*ssed off, and it's time to kick some arse... --

**NOTES** The more eagle-eyed amongst you - (and those with the benefit of longish-term memories) - will have noticed that Kallis is wearing a suit very much like that worn by a certain Niamh E. before her death and subsequent <ahem> resurrection. Niamh found her suit, where it had been discarded, possibly as the result of a calamity overcoming its original owner, who knows? She had always assumed that it was of Dwemer origin, and harnessed a power that was beyond certainly her understanding. Whilst the latter was true, the former assumption was wildly incorrect. These suits are only produced in the kingdom from which both Kallis, and Eilidh before her, hail from. This leads to two mysteries: 1. Who was the original owner of the suit that Niamh found? 2. Kallis knows nothing about this original suit, and is puzzled by it's being referenced by the people she has questioned, as to the best of her knowledge, Eildh - the Princess - was never given one... -X-
