Ok, here are the original directions for keyboards with number pads:
bind "KP_PLUS" "+camin"
bind "KP_MINUS" "+camout"
bind "KP_UPARROW" "cam_yaw 180"
bind "KP_PGUP" "cam_yaw 225"
bind "KP_RIGHTARROW" "cam_yaw 270"
bind "KP_PGDN" "cam_yaw 315"
bind "KP_DOWNARROW" "cam_yaw 0"
bind "KP_END" "cam_yaw 45"
bind "KP_LEFTARROW" "cam_yaw 90"
bind "KP_HOME" "cam_yaw 135"

And here is my setup using the directional keys, INS, DEL, HOME, END, PGUP, and PGDN:
bind "UPARROW" "cam_yaw 180"
bind "RIGHTARROW" "cam_yaw 270"
bind "DOWNARROW" "cam_yaw 0"
bind "LEFTARROW" "cam_yaw 90"
bind "END" "+camout"
bind "HOME" "+camin"
bind "INS" "cam_yaw 225"
bind "DEL" "cam_yaw 315"
bind "PGUP" "cam_yaw 135"
bind "PGDN" "cam_yaw 45"

Just copy and paste whichever you want to use into the autoexec.cfg file located in the VTMB folder (this may vary depending on what version you have. For example, autoexec.cfg was located in GOGgames/VTMB/Unofficial patch/cfg for my game). For good measure, I also put it in config.cfg and default.cfg, and deleted entries that had the keys I wanted to use assigned to something else. Now if I could just figure out how to move the camera up and down. kvleft.gif

Brigitte traveled to Griffith Park to tell Nines about the proposed alliance between the Anarchs and the Camarilla against the Kuei-Jin. Upon arrival however, a large fire was set in the park, designed to draw out werewolves to kill Nines and Brigitte. A harrowing adventure ensued...

Nines became really nervous during their conversation. Something wasn't right and he feared a werewolf attack was imminent due to the fire. As he ran back to the lift, he was pounced on by a werewolf!

Scorched Earth

Awooooooooo!

This werewolf had a real crush for Brigitte!
Brigitte managed to evade the werewolf's attentions and was able to get it caught in the observatory's telescope doors were it was crushed to death.

You should see the other guy...
Nines survived the tussle with his werewolf assailant.

The other guy.
The werewolf, however, lost his head.

Lol, I get an amusing mental image of Nines carrying this enormous werewolf head all the way from Griffith Park to Hollywood. “Relax folks. It’s just a costume.” *Masquerade Violation* laugh.gif

In the Werewolf tabletop RPG, the world magically rearranged itself so mortals would never *see* werewolves. So they never have to worry about the Masquerade. For example, if someone went into full werewolf form in the middle of a shopping mall and killed a hundred people, all anyone would see or remember was that a terrorist or something similar killed them all. Not a werewolf. I always thought that was really lazy however.

Yeah I don’t like that either. Does it explain what is doing it, or is the Masquerade itself doing it?

There was a name for it. I think it was called The Veil, or something like that. It was a magical force omnipresent in the world that basically obfuscated mortal's perceptions, so they would not remember werewolves. No, I think it is called Delerium. Though the two terms see to be used interchangeably.

While it’s still a bit too convenient for my lycan(tongue.gif), it’s kinda neat in that it sounds similar to repressed memories from PTSD.

Brig is getting herself some Hong Shui Guy! Did she have help from Yukio?

Looks like she wants to axe that guy a question...

Thank goodness for those little scampering blood bags...

Love that Behind You picture, where you can just see Brig's face.

Spleckt!

Is she going to rub the Buddha for luck?

Xiao looks very Lovecraftian in her monster-form.

Stargate!

Lol, she may have as she walked by him.

Yeah she does! I wonder if it’s a legit nod to Lovecraft, or if it may have been taken from the pen and paper games and *that* was inspired by Lovecraft.

Oh! The beginning of the end for Brigette!

Nice pics. I like seeing the temple again without having to go through it again tongue.gif

The name Kuei-Jin is interesting, btw. While I don't know about Kuei, I do know that the Arab word for demon is Djinn, which is where the word genie comes from, as in genie in a bottle. Quite appropriate that the Kuei-Jin calls themselves that.

According to the wiki, the name is a mashup of Chinese (Kuei, meaning ghost), and Japanese (jin, meaning person).

Here’s a copy of the entry:

Etymology

Ostensibly, the name "Kuei-jin" is supposed to represent the two major cultures involved, with the Mandarin ghost (鬼, kuei) and Japanese person (人, jin) being combined into a single name. Unfortunately, this would only make sense with Western audiences, and wouldn't make any sense at all with the writing systems of the cultures in question.

The same root writing system is used for both Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. A Chinese speaker seeing 鬼人 would read it as "guei-ren" (ghost person), while a Japanese speaker seeing the same characters would read it as "oni-bito" or "ki-jin" which refers to the Kun/On readings of the characters (ogre/demon person). While the meaning remains the same, there is no way to write the phrase in a manner which would be read as "kuei-jin" by either culture, unless using a Western alphabet.

That is bizarre about the etymology, and how the word cannot be read in the original languages!

I took a second look at this and fired up Bloodlines. Turns out it won't work for me, not entirely. I use the WASD keys to move around, and mouse look to look up and down and side to side. With the default setup, I can use the 4 and 6 on my keypad to pan the camera around to look at my character face on. I just have to keep tapping the keys to continue spinning around.

I might be able to use the second half of it - from the END key down. I'll have to experiment with it the next time I play the game for real.

I had an issue similar to this and it turned out I had other actions assigned to the keys I was trying to use. After deleting those entries in the 3 .cfg files, it started working as it should. Don’t know if this info will help you or not, but I figured I would post it just in case.
