I downloaded something and at the end of the file name it says ".c01"

Now, I'm not sure, but it sounds like it's part of a split WinACE archive (not WinC01). If split, they have a .ace, and .c##, all the way from .c00 to however many parts.
Could be something completely different, but my best uneducated guess would be the second part of a split .ace archive.

thanks Epy but I already downloaded Winace anc Winzip so if it is a split off of winace i didn't do it right.
