Just watched the first episode and man, this game s THICK with atmosphere!

IIRC, Chris automatically aims, right? Would explain how you can shoot an enemy which is off-screen.

Goodness. Khajiit has been so busy that he forgot to raise this thread from the dead! Thanks to assistant Necromancer in Chief ‘Rocu for taking up Khajiit’s slack!

Well this year, Khajiit’s GF and Khajiit have been invited to a real life Halloween party so this one needed a costume for the first time in ages! Khajiit has decided to go as ‘Rocu! Well, maybe not actually ‘Rocu, but definitely one of his fine feathered kin. You see, this one’s lady is going as the D&D diety character “The Raven Queen”, so Khajiit is going as her little raven/crow creature/thing servant! Khajiit already has the mask (which is like a Venetian beaked style half mask that looks like a crow or raven), clawed gloves, boots, a hooded robe-ish thing, and the pants. Now he’s just waiting on the shirt and a balaclava to wear under the mask. Should be fun!

Cool, like Maleficent's raven sidekick.

I started Spooky October by watching The Call of Cthulhu movie, made by the HP Lovecraft Historical Society some years back. I watched it with some of my neighbors, and narrated the intertitles in a 1920's radio announcer voice. It was fun. Today we are planning on watching the Whisperer in Darkness.

Man, that’s rad that you have neighbors who are into Lovecraft!

I might parry that with a CoC:Dark Corners LP watch. Darkchiron does a good one and now that Reaper has bailed on us... whistling.gif

I finally watched Hocus Pocus for the first time. It was worth it just for the autumn in New England vibes.

Well, as I'm sure many of you know, I'm not a big fan of zombies.

However, I started watching a new series on Netflix - La Revolution. It's a French series that is essentially an alternative history of the French Revolution - that it actually was because the French Nobles are necromancers/zombies preying on the common people.

In spite of my distaste for anything zombie-ish, I am enjoying this series.

Alternatively, on acorn.tv I've started watching a documentary called 1900 Island, a reality show about four families trying to make a living on a western Welsh island where the last fishing community died out 70 years ago. It's a striking contrast to modern life, and very interesting on a sociopsychological level . . .

Did you see the Netflix show Kingdom? It was definitely a different take on zombies.

I mean, that was a big part of my Saturday nights when I was a kid! I remember the one with Zeebo the clown used to freak me out! That mannequin of him in the funhouse was creep AF!

I remember the pinball episode and the restaurant with a particularly delicious soup.

Yep, I remember those too. The pinball one was creepy because it was in a mall at night and that there was no escape. The soup one, iirc, featured Dr. Vink (with a “Vuh Vuh” laugh.gif ). He was running a cooking school that also ran a restaurant, and he was feeding people soup spiced with a liquidized fear juice that he was able to magically extract from his students.

Changing gears a bit, here is a gallery of Second Empire style houses. These are probably familiar because they tend to be associated with horror in pop culture. The house in Psycho/Bates Motel, and in Beetlejuice, as well as the Calvert Mansion and Blackthorn Hall from Fallout 3: Point Lookout are good examples of this kind of architecture. I think they are absolutely beautiful... and maybe a bit spooky!
