So, I just tried the demo and...just wow, the animations are fluid, you can customize so many things of your character, while the demo was really short, I played the Gryphon fight over twenty times tongue.gif, it's just fun!

I been reading around, it's basically a open world game, and you can actually continue playing after you beat the game! So that's a HUGE plus for me. You command "pawns" and they are your helpers during the game, 3 simple commands, "Help, Go, and come", You don't need anymore commands, I hardly used them but the AI is REALLY good, you have 3 pawns with you, and one of them is your main pawn, who you are allowed to customize as much as the main guy, the main pawn will of course be with you thought the game.
You can grapple onto enemies, I managed to grab on the Gryphon and hop on it's back, managed to pull a few light attacks on it!
The carry weight of the main character actually depends on the weight and size that you chose during character customization, I think it can improve as you level up, but don't quote me on that.

The only thing that I hate about it, is the fact that the demo is REALLY short, you can customize your main character and main pawn, do part of the prologue quest, and do a random side quest.

Npc's have a 24 hour schedule, of course it gets really dangerous at night but you can only find certain items during the night.

They went in a old style rpg for the inventory, it almost looks exactly the Oblivion's.

I don't know, it just feels like they gotten ideas from other games, being a capcom game it feels like Monster Hunter, with a hint of Dark Souls, mixed in with Skyrim, and a tad of Dragon age.
From what I noticed in the demo, the combat is not that hard, but it's really smooth, the bow is just...perfect

I'm still reading up, and I keep getting more and more exited tongue.gif, I don't always buy first day, but I think this game deserves it! biggrin.gif
Also romances are confirmed tongue.gif, as well as Same sex romances.

Thanks for the review! I started to look into it, but came to all stop when I saw it was XBox / PS3 only. I wonder if it will ever see the PC.

You never know...The way it's set up for sharing the pawns on Facebook and stuff you'd think it'd be perfect for it...

I was pretty excited about this game months ago when they first launched the footage from it...Sadly they then ruined it by suggesting that you should be part of a community...Sharing your created pawns in Facebook and blahblah etc...

Which basically means that the kids are unlikely to be able to play it as I won't set their sign-ins up with PSN...Not having them spend me money!!...It's bad enough with the wife... tongue.gif ...

Not a happy bunny...No, can I please play a game where I don't have to interact with the outside world?...Oh wait...SKYRIM!!... biggrin.gif ...

Shame, looks cool...

We did dl the demo...Will get the kids to test it... biggrin.gif ...

You don't have to interact with the outside world if you don't want to tongue.gif, you can easily hire ingame peons! Granted I think my first run i'll just go solo with the main peon and the hero. I really want this game biggrin.gif, seeing as my Skyrim just plain out refuses to work...heh

Oh right... biggrin.gif ...

The wife created a character last night...Seemed fun...Will have to see how much it is...She did the prologue quest thingy...She was a bit put out that having made the char and her pawn, she wasn't able to use them in that bit...Dunno if she did something wrong or not...

Amywho, yeah, looks good...If a little confusing in the battles...

You actually can, the main character is the younger version if the main character!
Underneath the customization in the main menu, is the Gryphon fight! That's when you can use your main character, and your pawn will be there, remember press start when you enter that little area! Because it teaches you how to use your bow, I completely forgot what button to press to use the bow.
Oh and make sure to use the grab button!
Also what i noticed this last run, your peons learn different tactics while fighting the enemies biggrin.gif

Well, I had a go at dinner...

Yes, I likee!!... biggrin.gif ...

Still didn't get the idea that if you make your own character, surely then you're the Arisen?...*Shrug*...We'll see...

I did enjoy the Griffen fight meself...Kinda figured out the bow thing without the instructions... tongue.gif ...Like most things, I did it by accident and went "Now what did I do there?"... laugh.gif ...Damned good though...

The only thing was, I wanted to be a Knight (Shockingly) so how comes I get the dagger fighter thing?...Hopefully it's just a demo thing...Me wantsee me longsword/Shield combo ta... biggrin.gif ...

Nicely done though...Will have another go somepoint...

*Applauds Capcom*...

Ohh it's just a demo thing! At the start of the actual game you chose your class, and also answer some questions to chose your Peons class, and there are advance classes and the like!
Here is the link!

MEEP!!...*Does dance of joy*... biggrin.gif ...

Mystic Knight!!!...Oh hells yeah!!!...*Continues dance*...

Will be having some of that!!...

Cheers for the link... smile.gif ...

Trouble is, there's almost a month to go...Should do more Skyrim, but I'm really heading for the old Kingdoms of Amalur for a bit I think... laugh.gif ...There's a DLC sitting there not done...(The kids were happily playing it until I went back to Skyrim, then obviously the pair of them decided that that was the cool place to be tongue.gif ...*Robert revels in the joy of being a cool Dad...*... cool.gif ... laugh.gif ...Won't last long... biggrin.gif ...)...

Actually re-built the character from Amalur for this one...Decided he keeps falling through universes saving them...As you do...I already mentioned him briefly in the KOTN story...Oh yeah...The multiverse goes to other games too...*Does dance of arrogance*... laugh.gif ...

Multiversing yay! Sometimes I do reuse some of my characters for games, but I have yet to multiverse....soon! Oh also;

http://dragonsdogma.tumblr.com/

Thank link ^, it has several gameplay videos, the towns, quest, information about certain thinks, ect....I WANT NOW! tongue.gif, seeing as my Skyrim just plain out refuses to work, I'm going to need to start saving money for this game! I been watching the videos, and I just want! tongue.gif

Was going around that link and I found this pic!

You can chose how to respond to things! biggrin.gif

Found a video in their facebook page, heh...I really need to start saving money.

By the gods, it puts Skyrim's and DA's dragon fights to shame, and this is a drake not a full grown dragon!

Gameplay! "You can levitate,, throw people off the roofs...this is a game where the time of day makes a HUGE difference"
...I really should stop looking for these things tongue.gif

After I did the initial link, I did go look on Youtube itself and found loads of Xbox mag things...Probably that one that the "levitate over the rooves" comes from...

But my Gods we're drooling now... biggrin.gif ...

A month is too damned long!!... laugh.gif ...

Yep...Defiantely a go-er!...

Sorry, off to find what pre-order goodies I can get...Aaah, one of the few joys that I can have by working my fingers to the bone...To the bone I tell ye!!... laugh.gif ...

EDIT!!..How does your Skyrim simply not work then?...

You know when you get off the carriage at the start of the game?
Well in my game, they just sit there in the carriage! Reformatted my PS3, deleted game/patch data so many times, nothing helped D:

Also;

Basically you are not forced to do the main story, it's up to you to pursue it biggrin.gif

Quick edit, if you were to walk from one end of the land to the other end it will take you 2-3 hours, that's not counting exploring every single bit, just walking straight from one side to the other biggrin.gif

This game is very difficult but also lots of fun. I got a copy on Black Friday for $30 and I'm pretty satisfied with it.

The game isn't without problems but the package as a whole is pretty good.

I keep considering this...Maybe when it's cheaper again...

I like the way they say that it's entirely okay to run away from higher level baddies... biggrin.gif ...

Yeah and you'll need to. This game isn't something you can just smash the "A" button to beat. You've gotta level up and think strategically. Your team you put together with the pawn system is pretty important.

I've heard that those teammates can get pretty annoying with their near constant inane chatter during battles. Have you found that to be a problem?

Somewhat but it is tolerable. Rent it first and you'll know if you want to put down money on it.

Yeah, we did too...I think the boy drove his sister insane playing the same thing over and over again... laugh.gif ...

Still, I don't think it's worth the money it is still currently if all we're going to do is put it back on the shelf because we can't be behinded* getting ours handed to us repeatedly... biggrin.gif ...
