I don't know if this is right, but I always thought that moonsugar was the ingredient that skooma was made out of. And that skooma could be smoked or drunk depending on how it was prepared.
*

That is correct, skooma is made from refined moon sugar.
But Khajit also consume moonsugar alone, I thought it was because of financial reasons (Moonsugar = 50 Gold, Skooma = 500 gold). Remember aproaching a Khajit and you get ''Sweet moon sugar''. But this was Morrowind, in Oblivion skooma is 75 Gold, and there is no moon sugar ohmy.gif Why, that's beyond me

I always thought of moon sugar as opium and skooma as that opium water stuff (no not heroin, the stuff you drink but isn't really around anymore) so I thought that you smoked moon sugar in a skooma pipe because skooma is refined moon sugar and when you smoke it gets refined. This doesn't follow any sort of lore, its just what I think. I think moon sugar=opium because I think Khajiit represent late medieval asians (can't remember what nation, but the ones which smoked alot of opium tongue.gif )

Dunno, I only know that origins from Elsweyr. There not that much lore about this, but my imagination says that moonsugar could be something you get from a plant that looks like bamboo tongue.gif
I hope someone would make a skooma mod, with complete moonsugar smugglers and skooma pipes.

It comes rom Elsweyr only. Smugglers tryed to grow moon sugar in Morrowind, but they didn't make it, because the climate isn't suitable. smile.gif

Oh, and Pisces, I think that Chinese smoked opium first smile.gif

I have many positive statements smile.gif

Beautiful sunsets
Freedom
Spellmaking
Freedom
Hilarious NPC talk
Freedom
The music

...Did I mention freedom?

Oblivion was like nothing else I´d ever played before. I could go wherever I wanted to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. All to the beautiful music through my 5.1 system happy.gif

Besides few games like Baldur's gate saga & Fallout (not all of them but most), Oblivion is the only game which I really start to miss if I don't play it for some time. It always calls me back and I have an urge to play it. It's like an addiction but a good one.

Me too. I'm only involved with TES: IV and TES: V these days, very rarely will I play Sims 3. My daughter's got a few games on her new Nintendo, but those are for her. I don't really play Mario Bros. or a couple others she has unless she begs me!, and she's way better than I am. I just don't have the time for anything else.

I gotta say I do play Skyrim more than Oblivion, the ratio is roughly 3 to 1 nowadays, and before I made my "one game a week" rule (switching from Saga to Kahreem) I used to have similar feelings where Cyrodiil would 'call me back'. I'd get all confused and stuff. But I think I got my *ahem* addictions under control! biggrin.gif

Same here. I like to play other games too but Oblivion is the only game I keep coming back to. And no wonder, it´s my home!

I'm so addicted that I even don't play any other game anymore! smile.gif But then again, I don't even have time. Beside doing an apprenticeship, a girlfriend, 3yrs-old-son, occasional parties and other real-life issues I sometimes surprise myself how many free time I still have for Oblivion and update-writing! That's mostly because my GF and son go to sleep early, so I have some time just for myself and Oblivion then. hehe.gif

It´s amazing that efter all this time in which every minute has been spent with the same character, I still love coming back to Cyrodiil to explore paths I´ve explored a thousand times already. That is game quality! happy.gif

Yes it is. And here's the thing. If you explore Oblivion with another character, what will start to happen is you'll also see things through this other characters eyes. You'll be amazed at really how different this world you've already spent so much time in can seem to be.

...wait...

I like how level scaling defeats the purpose of leveling! It's like I'm still at level one when I'm at level forty, but with better equipment!
