Hey all... just in the process of posting up a thread in the official forums, hoping some new faces can be brought over to write some more stuff in the final weeks, and suddenly realised that I hadn't filled you in about one of the major points in The Librarian's past that I've discovered *coughmadeupcough*

We all know the Library contains heretical texts and is very illegal bla bla bla, but how did a wise, sage-like man suddenly turn to such activities? Well, he was thrown into the Ministry of Truth after refusing to destroy certain manuscripts which contained a lot of history of the Ashlanders, but which at the same time showed the empire to have treated them appallingly. The facts could not be transcribed without the empire's misdeeds against the Ashlanders, and of course the Ashlanders have no true written form of history, so the destruction of such documents would have meant that a large piece of very important history would have just suddenly been destroyed. The Librarian refused, so was thrown into the MoT.

But with the help of one who would later become the second Founder of the library, he escaped the ministry, only to find that too late, the documents were gone forever. At that point, he vowed to strive to save as many documents, no matter what their value in terms of gold, information or jokes was, from destruction or extinction.

And thus, The Library of Tes F'Ruum was brought into life...

Hoo-rah!

Don't mind if I ask, who was the second founder of which you speak? You? And the librarian was the first founder?
