Maxical:

IPB Image

- Maxical is a pure white Khajiit with red hair and gray eyes, tinier than the average Khajiit. She is of mixed race, Khajiit/Imperial. She is wrongly thought to be albino due to her coloring, but actually the tiny stature and white fur come from a rare Khajiit found on the highest mountain peaks in Skyrim, the Kawa Shiro.

- Mother - Shivani, a pure Kawa Shiro Khajiit, strawberry blonde hair and yellow eyes. She died in Minotaur attack on road near Skingrad when Maxical was five.

- Father - Imperial (unknown who he is at this time)

- Maxical was married to Gils in an invalid ceremony, then married to Fathis Aren in a valid one. She considers her marriage to Gils the true marriage, and is bound to him by Azura. Unfortunately war broke out before either could consumate the marriage, so she was still a virgin until Dagoth-Malan took it from her.

- Malan used a poaching trick to garner control over Maxical and make her compliant, he placed his nature inside her as if he was making her his chosen (but then never made her his chosen because he wants Amiela to always be his only chosen)

- Malan's poaching trick set his nature inside Maxical off balance. Between that and split-apart Janus in the next room (who hates Malan) - the nature begins turning on Malan. Then it threatened to eliminate Amiela.

- Malan permanently removed Amiela's soul from Maxical while she slept. No one knows where Malan or Amiela are now

Fathis Aren:

- Fathis is still being held in the dungeon below Malan's lair, but Malan used Maxical's virgin blood to break Fathis's willpower and made Maxical watch while Fathis swore a vow with Malan, who then stole Fathis's soul. Fathis is a thrall now. Malan erased Maxical's memory of the whole thing, and told Maxical that he killed Fathis the day war broke out. She believed him.

Gils:

IPB Image

- In game you will find Gils as the Blue Team Gladiator in the Bloodworks

- Gils was seen by Baurus swearing a vow with an ugly male Elf which was sealed with a violent kiss. Afterwards Baurus noticed Gils was "zombie-like." Baurus also said Captain Renault was under mind control by the same ugly Elf, and that she was instrumental in Gils not receiving medical care after Gils returned to the Bloodworks mortally injured by the Gray Prince.

- Gils almost died in Maxical's arms, but before dying he turned into a vampire. Malan then killed Captain Renault and erased Maxical's memory of both Gils' and Captain Renault's deaths.

- Malan planted the information with Uriel that Gils defected from Uriel's army and abandoned his marriage to Maxical to run off with Captain Renault. Maxical believes it. Eyja told Uriel the truth, but neither have disclosed it to Maxical.

- Malan admitted to Maxical that he has Gils' soul, but then erased her memory of it.

- It has been revealed (to the reader only at this point) that because Maxical was carrying Amiela's soul inside her, Malan used mind control on Gils to make him marry Maxical. (Malan was obsessed with getting hold of Gils' rare Dunmer Mysteries, the "Gifts." He has them now).

*****The Vampires*****

Dagoth-Malan and his Army of Giant Vampires

History:

- Dagoth-Malan is an under-relative of Dagoth-Ur, therefore he is a Chimer. He was slated to become an “Ascended Sleeper” by Ur (and can be found in the list of Dagoth‘s relatives for Morrowind as such, although he never appears in game), but was warned in advance and escaped before Ur could turn him into one. He looks remarkably like Vivec, since that is the only Chimer picture I could find.

- Like Ur, Malan was obsessed with immortality, omnipotent power, domination. While Ur slept, Malan extracted some of his immortal blood, but was only able to obtain two vials before Ur awoke. Malan escaped with the vials, fleeing to the Crystal Tower to perform his experiments.

- Ur’s blood was immortal, but not powerful enough for Malan. He decided to create a super-race of vampires by combining blood from all the most powerful ancient vampire lines and mixing them into a “cocktail.” He combined one of the vials with half the vampire blood mixture and injected it into himself.

- Malan is the unknown author of the book “Immortal Blood,“ and Movarth Piquine continued to work for Malan for centuries after the attack on him that ends that book.

- Malan created a super-race of vampires. Every vampire he made grows to giant proportions for combat, (hence the army's name) Malan set up pods outside all the major cities of Cyrodiil to attack people coming and going - trying to infiltrate and fill each city with his armies so on command they would grow to giants and attack.

- Malan funds Mannimarco, King of Worms' expansion in Morrowind in exchange for teaching him the secrets of making thralls. Malan begins stealing the souls of his troops, only leaving the commanders' souls intact. Each soul gives him more strength, while the thrall fights for him. Thralls must obey the one that holds their soul, and Malan can give them orders with just a thought now.

- Malan was bent on domination, his army became the most feared and disciplined army in Tamriel. When on the move, they move as a single unit (because one mind controls them). But Malan made an error in the creation of his line, they were not immortal.

- Malan kidnapped his enemy Greywyn Blenwyth's chosen mate, the virgin Amiela, starting the war over Amiela that still continues. He then kidnaps Jakben, Earl of Imbel and incarcerates him in his lair's dungeon. Malan steals Imbel's soul and begins impersonating him.

- Malan and Amiela live in peaceful bliss in his lair Theryon while Greywyn relentlessly searches Tamriel for Amiela.

- 137 years later. While Malan is still trying to find the error that kept his line from being immortal, Amiela dies.

- Malan funds Mannimarco, King of Worms with enough wealth to expand his necromancy operation into Cyrodiil in exchange for the secrets to bringing Amiela back to life again.

- Malan creates a "split-apart" of himself by attacking (18 year old at the time) Janus Hassildor and using Dagoth-Ur's blood and the other half of his own cocktail of vampire bloods. (two vampires sharing one nature). His plan is to have Janus "make" his chosen immortal by the sharing of his dark gift with his wife. Being a split-apart, Malan would then be able to enter Janus's lair and kidnap Hassildor's chosen, insert Amiela's soul in her. Amiela would then live forever in an immortal body.

- Malan didn't realize the full extent of the splitting-apart of the vampire nature. When Malan is strong, Janus is weak (and vice-versa). Malan has the strength of thousands of souls in him, so Janus has remained weak and puny. Janus stays isolated in his castle for fifty years.

- Malan's goal is and always has been the rule of Tamriel, he seeks Uriel Septim’s throne. Since Amiela's death his prime goal is to bring her back to life first, and then the throne. (While Amiela lived, Malan promised her she would be by his side when he took over the Palace. Malan intends to keep that promise).

- It is now believed that Malan implanted the soul of his dead wife inside Maxical when she was a child the day her mother died. It is known that he intends to bring his wife back to life using Janus Hassildor's immortal blood so his wife will never die again, and was assumed he meant to use Maxical for this.

- Malan had Maxical's marriage to Fathis annulled, unbeknownst to anyone because war broke out immediately afterward. Malan still holds a sealed invitation to Skingrad Castle "just in case he needs it."

- Malan is weakening himself by his addiction to the 'kiss of fire'. When Malan is weak, Janus becomes strong. Janus has been letting his nature out a lot, and is beoming stronger continuously.

- Malan's nature turned on him due to being off balance from that poaching trick and split-apart Janus in the next room wanting to kill him. It threatened to eliminate Amiela. Malan immediately removed Amiela from Maxical permanently. Now he is trying to get away from his own nature inside Maxical in fear of it helping Maxical to harm Amiela.

- Malan is so obsessed with Gils' Dunmer Gift mysteries that he used mind control to make Gils marry Maxical (since that is where Amiela was). Now Gils is dead, and he had to remove Amiela's soul from Maxical. Malan doesn't give up plans once made, he just adjusts them. He has not given up the idea of those mysteries, which carry with the soul. Watch out Maxical!

- Malan stole both Gils and Fathis's souls and still has them. Gils is dead, but Malan holds the now-thrall Fathis in his dungeon still. Malan can't impersonate Fathis anymore, the Palace has been warned not to trust him.

Powers:

- Malan (and those he makes) uses illusion magic to alter his appearance and hide his vampire features. He can impersonate anyone (as long as they are alive) - exactly the same way Jagar Tharn did when he impersonated Uriel Septim for 10 years, which is why Uriel was kept alive in Oblivion by Tharn instead of just being killed and replaced.

- Malan and those he makes can also take on the forms of a giant predatory bird, a wolf, or a vapor. He is more vulnerable in these forms and cannot use his powers in them for defense.

Malan's Impersonations:

- Jakben, Earl of Imbel (Jak to friends):

IPB Image

- Malan has been impersonating Springheel Jack since soon after kidnapping Amiela from Greywyn Blenwyth. The real Springheel Jack is a thrall being held captive in the dungeons in Malan’s lair. Malan usurped Jakben Imbel's family estate in the Talos Plaza and used the cave below it to farm young girls, using hypnosis on each to sing the Jack be nimble" song (pinning their attacks on Springheel Jack) He planned to shove the real Jakben into the mansion to take the fall if ever caught. Springheel Jack was once Malan's enemy.

- Everyone thinks Amiela is Jakben's wife, but it was always Malan impersonating him.

- At this point NO ONE (including Janus) knows Malan impersonates Jakben Imbel except Foxy (who is in Malan's dungeon) and Fathis (who is now a thrall). Janus thinks Jak is his good friend.

- Hannibal Traven (not knowing it was Malan) gave Jakben Imbel Diplomatic Immunity from "Uriel's Law" just before war broke out.

- In this role Malan using his bird form is the bird Maxical and Janus know (“Jak the bird.”)

- Sir Damien “Foxy” Reynard -

IPB Image

- Sir Damien is Malan’s longtime nemesis. Malan's impersonation of Foxy has been discovered, he can no longer use this impersonation. The real Foxy is still being held in Malan's dungeon

Janus Hassildor, “The Immortal“

- Janus is the only known immortal vampire. He is called “The Immortal” by many of his own kind, and the few mortals that know of his existence.

- Janus put Fathis Aren under a spell to trust him explicitly, to stay away from Maxical, and to make him impotent.

- Janus accepted Maxical as his chosen. He just found out he is Malan's "split-apart."

- Janus just learned the "chosen” he's really been following was not Maxical, but the soul of Amiela inside Maxical.

- Janus does NOT know Jak is really Malan, and genuinely likes Jak

- Janus was set up to be imprisoned eternally for the attack on Maxical, but she proved it was Malan who attacked her. Janus was just freed, and has agreed to stay and help Uriel Septim. He is livid that Malan is in the next room (loudly) mating his accepted chosen. The more rage he feels, the stronger he becomes.

***

Seridur: Dead, murdered by his gay lover Phintias before he could bring the Diplomatic Immunity papers to Vicente, whom he had fallen into hopeless love with. (hopeless because Vicente is straight). The immunity papers were removed from his body by Ocato’s Battlemages, Ocato burned them. Phintias believes Seridur had a will leaving him all Seridur’s wealth. Seridur never made the will.

Vicente & the Dark Brotherhood:

- Vicente uses illusion to alter his appearance, but only when his powers are high from not feeding. He can impersonate anyone (as long as they are alive) and hide his vampire features.

- Vicente is a Crimson Scar, tightwad & womanizer.

- Before the war started Vicente was caught in “Jak’s” (Malan’s) territory feeding on Maxical. (Poaching in Malan’s feeding grounds). Poaching is a killing offense, Vicente is on the run, hiding out with Malvulis on her boat.

- Sir Damien Reynard ("Foxy") plans to assassinate him for the death of Eyja's sister.

The Gray Prince, Agronak:

Is a full vampire now, not just son of one. The Grand Champion of the Arena, son of the ancient vampire Lord Lovidicus and the Orc maiden Luktuv gro-Malog. Agronak murdered his mother (poisoned) and slaughtered his father (Lord Lovidicus).

Agronak was the stepbrother of Gils, had been exerting mind control over Gils since early childhood. He murdered Gils’ father with poison after exerting mind control to leave himself as primary heir.

- Malan used mind control to send both Gils and Captain Renault to Agronak to be murdered by him.

- Agronak is obsessed with killing Maxical.

- Other than all the above murders, Agronak murdered an unknown number of the Imperial Army, the performing bear, Foxy‘s missing agent that was watching Vicente, Shady Sam, and now Gils and Captain Renault.

- Agronak has set up his lair in a relatively unknown dungeon beneath the Imperial Prison in a tunnel system built by Jagar Tharn to use for possible escape if needed during the Imperial Simulacrum. That is where Captain Renault's body will be found later.

Greywyn Blenwyth and the Crimson Scars:

- Greywyn Blenwyth was Tamriel's most powerful vampire assassin. He formed the Crimson Scars, an organization of vampire assassins. They tried to infiltrate the Dark Brotherhood and take over by turning all the members into vampires. (Vicente is a Crimson Scar).

- It has been confirmed that Greywyn Blenwyth has returned to his old quarters at Deepscorn Hollow. He vowed the Crimson Scars would rise again

- Fighting in the vampire war in the Imperial City

- Blenwyth's chosen was kidnapped by his enemy Malan centuries ago, and he seeks revenge.

****Other Characters******

Alix Lencolia & S'Jirra: - Maxical's adoptive parents - Alix trains the Legion in Blade. S'Jirra makes "Famous Potato Bread." Whereabouts since war began unknown, were at the Faregyl Inn.

Arch Mage Hannibal Traven, the Arcane, and the Mages Guild:

- Hannibal went to school with and is best friends with both Fathis Aren and Jack Thompson. He and Fathis argue like brothers, but genuinely care about each other

- Hannibal is Maxical's personal physician and friend

- He is an expert on ancient vampires and necromancers. Hannibal predicted this vampire war, for years had been pressing Uriel Septim to amend "Uriel's Law," that a rebellion was imminent. Some think he is paranoid, Uriel Septim is one of them.

- Through Ocato Hannibal oversees vampires that have "Diplomatic Immunity from Uriel's Law." He has the authority to offer this immunity to certain vampires if they agree NOT to act on their nature. (If the vampire breaks the agreement and acts on his nature, sanctions are brought and they lose immunity, Uriel's Law is enacted and they are killed).

- Hannibal likes things to stay at a status quo, peace at almost any cost - and will go to almost any length to keep everything running smoothly. That said, Hannibal is a “good guy,” and when pushed in a corner will always do what is right.

- Eyja strained his heart in a wild night of sex.

The Bloodworks (Owyn and Andronicus) - Owyn is now training the Imperial Army in dirty fight tactics to use against the vampires. Andronicus is riding out the war in temporary housing.

Hero of the People:

- Azzan, given the title “Hero of the People” after some Fighters Guild jobs had him clearing out vampire nests. The honorary title was given due to his having a hatred of vampires (would like to see them wiped off the face of Nirn). and for being fearless in fighting them.

- Azzan is young, idealistic, a ball of spunk, and doesn't like to put his sword away without using it first. A great guy, just still has the hot-headedness of youth.

- Born in Sutch, left there after it was razed to the ground. Friend of Itius Hayn, who got him a position with the Fighters Guild where he is currently working his way through the ranks at a very fast rate.

- After enacting "Uriel’s Law” on Hassildor, waited for Damien’s trap to be sprung, then escorted Hassiri to safety. He is somewhere near the Arena fighting in the war.

Jack Thompson: Attorney over the Arena. Friend and school chum of both Hannibal Traven and Fathis Aren.

IPB Image

Nissy and the 7 sisters: Eight Khajiit victims of Malan’s "Farming.” Because Malan "started” them, they are “bound” to him and can recognize him in any disguise. They are all thieves, bandits, and prostitutes.

- In game, Nissy can be found just north of Waters Edge at the bridge, the Khajiit bandit that attacks you. The sisters are any other female Khajiit bandits you may come across in caves or the roads of Cyrodiil.

- Nissy:

IPB Image

- Nissy is on special assignment for Uriel infiltrating the Mythic Dawn headquarters.

- The sisters were being housed at an inn at the expense of the Palace till it was learned they assisted Malan in the attack on Maxical. They are now considered enemies to the Throne if caught in the Palace, and have lost that protection. They have returned to the cave in the refuge camp.

Pilus: - Imperial guard who Maxical accidentally purchased stud services from for Andronicus (Ysabel from the Bloodworks) while she was in jail. He is still doing dating Andronicus when not fighting in the war.

*****Sir Damien “Foxy“ Reynard*****

Damien "Foxy" Reynard - (The Black Fox) & his Agent “Sneakers“

- Both the most famous and infamous assassin, legendary status and most people believe he is a myth. His death has been reported numerous times in different ways, but he has actually been declared legally dead after faking his own death. He is now retired, and wears a full face mask constantly so nobody actually knows what he looks like.

- Has a network of agents that keep tabs on various people in power.

- Since the Imperial Simulacrum has worked secretly for Uriel Septim in the capacity of security and personal bodyguard.

- Has been captured by Malan and is being held prisoner in the dungeon below Malan’s lair.

*****The Legion*****

The Legion - Itius Hayn & Pilus - Just here to protect and serve

- "Uriel’s Law” has been declared, bounties set for proofs of killing any ancient or feral vampires

- Martial Law has been declared. The Legion has seized these buildings and businesses for their own use: The Arcane University, the Black Horse Courier, and the Bloodworks.

Like your explanation of terms, this is a nice complement to the Saga of Maxical!

I don't think you're giving enough space to Peforming Bear, martyr of the people, without whom I'd almost certainly understand the whole story.
