Name: Sel (short for Selenil)

Race: Dumner
Sex: male
Class: fighter
Personality: Usually does good, but has a lot of slip-ups, oftentimes doing what serves himself rather thatn others. As a 17 year old, has a sense of youthful arrogance, which leads him to rebel from authority often. (a nice clash with Falx Smile )
Brief History: Raised in Morrowind, he left his home and went to Cyrodill after being labeled a murderer for killing a member of the cammona tong who raped and murdered the last member of his family he had - his sister.
Physical Attributes: about 5'10", not very strong - uses speed and agility to gain the upper hand in battles, shaggy black hair, never uses armor heavier than leather, and rarely even uses that, becuase armor slows him down, but also gets him more injuries than most normal fighters.

Personality: Lone, quiet, aggressive in some ways and can behave cold hearthed. Would rather help his team by going alone..

Brief History: Arco was raised in a noble family. Wars between the great houses made Arco's family a target. Was often attacked at home and ambushed on trips. Arco grew up in all this, until the day when some assassin's attacked their house and killed Arco's monther, father and he's two uncles. He managed to flee, and was later picked up by the third uncle. Later to be trained up to be a warrior to revange the deaths of his family. He cold blooded killed the assassin's and their leader sending him on the path to destroy all evil...

Phsysical Attributes: 6'2", medium built, black hair stretched back as spikes. Looks like a avarage Dunmer, has a tattoo of a circle on his right side on his face...

Apearance: Tall, muscular, and looking like http://home.wnm.net/~bgriff/MW_NordM01v1.JPG He also wears a full suit of the 'Nordic Mail' of the skaal warriors, acquired after he went and tested himself against one.

Personality: In a Nutshell? NORD.
Fenris is in many ways, like your typical Nord, except he is much smarter, not complex-math-in-your-head smart. More of hey-moron-its-a-trap! smart. Street smart kinda. Fenrir is also arrogant, somewhat disdainful of elves(Bosmer in particular).

Equipment: His full suit of Nordic mail (though he rarely wears the helm), a sheild of same style as his armor, a Stalhrim Longsword, and a bunch of restore health potions.

History: Fenris was originally born and raised in Skyrim. However, Fenris's upbringing differed from that of many nords. He was trained as a Nordic tongue. Which means he can, and does harness the power of the voice that few Nords can. With this, he can move about by 'casting' his shout, or sharpen his blade, send opponents flying with a word, and more.
While not one who has to gagged to avoid destroying towns by saying 'Hello!', he is a skillful Tongue, not to mention a good swordsman. He has since traveled some of Morrowind, and of course, Soltheim, where he went to see what the Nords of the island were like.

He wasn't impressed when he blew the guard he challenged halfway to thirsk....

Personality: Taciturn, likes to keep to himself. Is a loyal friend and will go through the fires of Oblivion to protect those he cares about

Equipment: Full Ebony Armour, Ebony Tower Shield and Daedric Katana, as well as multiple restore health/attribute potions

Brief History: Was a famous warrior in his homeland during his youth, but left to become a wandering adventurer. Since then he has become a Blademaster, but no longer wishes to return home, prefering to see the world and live each day as it comes

Other Physical Attributes: Very tall, looks somewhat forbidding. Very muscualr and athletic. Close cropped black hair, clean shaven. Huge amounts of scars on his upper body, front and back, although mostly on his front.

Class: Unholy Sorrcer(sp?)
Personality: Plain evil. He finds amusement in pain, even his own. He is demented due to the fact that he was trapped in Oblivion for years. He also loves to toy with his enemies and prefers making them into slaves when possible. Not much else is know about him at the moment.
Brief History: He was trapped in the hell that is Oblivion for centuries. After finding an ancient mage sent to Oblivion at death, he discovered that the mage had spent eons making a staff that could control disemboied souls. He took the staff for himself and absorbed the mage. He then spent about seven years collecting souls in Oblivion before he gained the power to escape. Now he is loose in Morrowind (or Cyradil-sp?).
Other Physical Attributes:About 6 feet tall. He has long limbs and long, silver hair. His golden skin has also turned a grey-orange. He has bright, white eyes and sharply pointed ears. He wears all daedric armor but does not wear greeves or helms. Over his armor, he wear a black robe trimes with blood stained into arcayic patterns. He weilds a staff of unknown materials and has never released it. In other words, look at my avatar!

Personality: Quiet, calm, rarely speaks, voice demands power when he does

Brief History: Falx, or Knight as many call him, is a quiet man from semi-noble family somewhere in Cyrodil. Live a freelance type of life but was convince to join the Imperial legion do to some force. He follows orders and does not go agaisnt them unless he utterly has to, but isn't very willing to do so

Other Physical Attributes: 6'2'', medium build, long free brown hair, scars from skirmishes, armor equivalent to that of what average Knight in the Imperial service would possesse.

Class: Healer-in-training and accepts quests for benefits (money, rewards, etc.)
Personality: Shy, curious, anxious, easy to embarass, friendly and soft-voiced. She is more of a follower than a leader. She is often afraid to ruffle feathers, so she says as little as possible (does not speak up for herself much).
Brief History: Even as a child, Celia was curious (though very cautious) about the unknown and mysterious. She had encountered a vampire in the past, and since then, she has been interested in finding out the mysterious in life. She had just started using her healing powers, but is very bad at remembering ingredients needed for alchemy.
Other Physical Attributes: She is average for High Elf height (meaning a bit tall), slender build, short blonde silky hair often tied in a bun, and light blue eyes. Often wears expensive dresses, or any other kinds of exquisite/lovely clothing with ribbons and silk, etc.

well in the pic she´s got eleidon´s ward but in this rp she´ll have a steel katana, a dagger, lots of useful scrolls and her ability to cast spells like

-fire-bite
- calm humanoid and also creature
-summon things..
-reflect

then she has her alchemy gear..a travellers mortar and pestle, and travellers versions of the other apparatuses

and common robe, common clothing as a whole

simple chitin armour

Hello everybody, I'm new to these forums but a vetran to TES, RPs and forums. Since I joined these forums for the RPing and hopefully the library mod, so I think my first post may be best placed here. Sorry if I have offended you W4O board ninjas and vetrans with my newness, but I can't help it, for I am new. Anyways I'll read the rest of the RP and wait for one of you to let me into the story. Anyways here is my character:

Given name: Shakur Ir Shin

Used name: Shakur the Red

Gender: Male

Race: Redguard, with many nord relatives

Class: Battle mage

Age: Looks about 38, but doesn't talk about his age much.

Wepons: Steel claymore, medium level spells.

Armor: Enchanted glass left gauntlet, steel cuirass, ebony closed helm, dwemer left pauldron, steel right pauldron and gauntlet, ebony greeves, ebony boots, expensive red shirt, expensive black pants, ashlander robe.

Family: Mother and father living in Sentinel, Hammerfell, sister living in Skyrim (for protection) and brother living in Morrowind (Currently hunting for the dark elf who nearly killed his best friend).

Personality: Seems very secrative, but opens up about his current life. He stays very calm and takes pride in his strategical skills. Shakur will die for his friends and not just to be a hero.

Background: When Shakur was about 15, He, his family and a family
friend were eating at nightime at there house. Everything was going nicely till three Imperials and a Dark Elf broke down the door. The Dark Elf shot a shock arrow at the family friend, 14 at the time, and the imperials rushed at Shakur's sister. Shace Shin, Shakur's father, used a table knife to stab one of the imperials in the throat. The Dark Elf yelled out "Get the girl! You must complete the plan!" before retreating. Shakur ran to the back of the second Imperial and strangled him to death. Fae, Shakur's mother, used a shock spell to end the last of the Imperials.
After three years, an assasin came to Shakur's house to murder his sister, but was met with a axe weilding Shace. After yet another assasination attempt, the whole family was put under protection or moved to a different province.

Appearence: 6'4, no hair, brown eyes, muscular.

New char(Damn aol, wrote it all then kicked me off.)

Name:Konrad

Race:Imperial

Class:Trainee

Height:5'8"

Weight: 9 1/2 stone

Weapons:Iron longsword in brown leather scabbard, small steel dagger in black leather sheath attached to his left boot by some wrapping.

Armour:old brown leather jerkin, with cloth trousers in big leather boots, cloth wrapped around them randomly.

Family: His father was an imperial knight and had started a sword school in the city, but was killed by 7 daedric beasts that came out of a portal while he was travelling alone.

Personality:Tries to act the hero and is the leader of a group of child warriors.

Background: Lived with his father al his life, going to sword school every day and basically having a normal life. Now he is being herded from his city as a refugee.

Appearance: Very very very dark brown hair, that is unkept and falls below his eyes. Has a scar across his nose in a diagonal where he was bested in a swordfight at the sword school. He is muscular for his age.

Frustrated he looked for practitioners of dark magics. He found one and after some time was offered an apprentinceship on one condition. He must turn against all he had known, he must recreate himself. And so he did. He decided that if he could turn against everything he had known he could do anything. And so he did. He murdered his family, friends, and the entire town save for one man. He burned the bodies and sent the survivor off to tell others of what had transpired.
He was taken in by the magician, but when he discovered that he simply could not grasp the concepts involved, he killed the man in his sleep and took his supplies. He now searches for a greater source of power, he seeks godhood.

Brief History: Born and raised on a farm, he wanted to do what he couldn't: become a fighter. his father forced him to help with farmwork. he did so until the age of 11 when his home was raided by a small group of bandits. his father and mother (the equivalents to a modern day war protester) did not own a single weapon. They were slaughtered while he hid underneath a loose floorboard. he was taken in by the local fighters guild (ironic, right?) and trained in the art of heavy swordsmanship.

Personallity:Quiet among strangers, extremely outgoing in front of friends.
in battle he has been described as a "tactical berserker" as he thinks for a moment, then charges blindly into battle. He only carries with him his armor, sword, and food (plus bow). he tried to learn magic as a sort of battle back up, failed. and is currently failing at teaching himself marksmanship. dislikes high elves and their stereotypical holier-than-thou attitude, also dislikes potion guzzlers. doesnt like to kill ppl younger and/or less experienced than himself and WONT kill women.

Other Phys. Attributes: Height: 6' Full Suit of reinforced steel armor (heavier and stronger than reg. steel armor) Daedric Claymore, Steel Longbow and a few arrows. Normal dunmer face with medium length black hair that doesnt really have a style. medium build, yet quite strong. running speed is high but he lacks in agility. a fairly good battle tactician and knowledgable, yet lacks street smarts.

Shogun your character looks amazing. And remember, you are quite stong, but don't power play (Example Osano pulled out hus sword and within minutes, the whole oblivion army was dead).

The things that has been happening is that...

Cyrodiil has been attacked by demons, our group so far (Shakur, Falx, Konrad, Fenris, Jonacin, Serene, Celia, Sel and Acro(me) have been fighting these demons and Sel has ecountered a evil sorcerer who has the power to take soul trap on humans. Now we have all met in a Inn and are heading for Vvardenfell... :goodjob:

Er, what do you mean, Shakur? If that's who you're talking about, then no. Because Celia has family (including parents and extended family) in Cyrodiil, but she lives in a different area than them. She lives mostly on her own, though.
EDIT: Not to mention, she's easily distracted and has bad memory, so she often forgets she has a real family (she easily gets close to strangers).

Well it usually triggers people to go out, trying to forget about their parents death and revenge against evil if that killed them and all that... On a character I have in D&D I've played with that one almost a year, she is totally crazy about killing undead because here family worked at a graveyard and they came to life by a Black Guard... :shocked:

Do to the whole time space continuem, the story isn't at the same time as morrowind.. Or else that would make it kinda overworked..

Or the more simplyfied answer is, for the last several hundred posts I've try'd to make it quite a bit longer after Oblivion happened... a more unique settung right?

Umm.. so 30 years after Oblivion and 60 years after Morrowind? That wouldn't really make sense since it's only about 6 years between the two.

Ok Chandler I came up with this.

Story of the Umbra.

While I was walking through the woods I came across an orc. When I asked his name, he told me it didnot matter and I could call him by the name of his sword "Umbra". He looked upset, so I asked if I could help him. He told me that he wondered why the gods did not put someone in this world that could defeat him in battle, allowing him to achieve his goal of death during battle. He asked if I could do him this favor.

I accepted his offer. At that time I was using the Ice Blade of the Monarch. We drew are swords and the battle began.

The battle was long and tiring. Sword clinging together, slashing, and thrusting. As both of us was moving around in circles dodgeing each others attacks. He slashed towards me grazing across my chest with the tip of his blade. Bleeding badly I new I had to keep fighting. So I thrusted at him, he deflected my thrust but I caught him in his right arm. He backed up and slashed at me, I move and thrusted at him again grazing his stomach. He then pulled back and thrusted at me, in deflecting his thrust he grazed across my left leg. I then backed up to rethink my attack. He slashed at me, as I was moveing out of the way he grazed across my back giveing me a deep cut at and angle from my left shoulder to my left midsection of my back. I fell to my knees weak and tired. I seen him from the corner of my eye thrust at me, I pulled the Monarch up in time to deflect the thrust and then with all the strength I had I thrusted at him puting the Monarch through his chest. He fell to the ground and in his last breath told me thanks for giving him the death he deserved and to take good care of his sword Umbra.

The battle had ended and I was badly wounded and weak. I finally make it back to my feet trying to make it to the village near by to get to a healer. I made it out of the woods before I collapse along side a trail. I awake with a healer standing over me healing my wounds. To this day I do not know who she was, but hope to some day come across her to thank her for her gratitude.

Ok that is my story. Hope it is note worthy.

However, I htink Channler meant ways to get the sword other than fighting umbra since the time frame does not put you and Umbra together.

Have you ever thought that you fought a different orc who's name is actually bob and he kiled the real umbra then traveled the worlds as his kind of heir seeing as he is the only one good nough to defeat umbra then he would look for a worthy death. This is why he told you that you should just name him by his sword.

Oourse he could of still been around.

Of course, the DEVs have said any character that has a quest to kill them is considered dead in the next game. Any one without a quest involvingtheir death is alive. So techincally, hes dead as a doornail.

So perhaps like any artifact, Umbra left the nerevarine's possesion and ended up in someone's hands....

They weren't murdered, they were in a botched assasination attempt. His parents are living happily in the motherland, his sister is living a good and semi-secret life in blackmarsh and he's about to see his wife and brother. The only bad part is assasins and bad dreams.

errr...all that really happened i nthe gap was our traveling. Not really too much.

I'll try to update a bit.

NIran was attacked by assassins. Shakur is pissed at NIran b/c Niran wasn't honorable. (Can't exactly rmember how Niran was dishonorable...) Sel just plain doesn't like Niran, because of a little argument in the woods.

We fought a four-armed dremora...climbed amountain. Serene gets possessed by azura every once in awhile...

um...that's all I can think of.

the evil mage (Arcyakt) was banished to oblivion by Azura because he used all sorts of profane magics. He escaped, found a powerful staff...

basically, there are no limits on his magic powers.

Of course, after usings a shout to destroy each building in the city'd he'd be rather tired. Oh, and those bigs ones, they'd take a few just due to pure size. Out of the Shout-radius.

Made a little short story of Arco, the one I posted was of course a 'cover up' but anyway, know no ones this... in game... only Arco of course :rofl:

Well Arco was born in Vvardenfell and was a soldier in a raiding company from one of the secret camps in the Grazelands. He had a loved one there, but suddently they were summoned to the mainland so he needed to leave his loved one behind....

One the mainland they were ambushed and found out it was a trap, Arco fought hard and was the only survivor. He later found out that the parents of his loved one had sent the people to ambush them. He soon went back to Vvardenfell where he found his family and almost whole tribe murdered. As he was about to leave he saw some of the survivors of the tribe, four very close friends had captrued Lyzia (Arco's loved one) and held her hostage. Arco's feelings for her was so strong, even as her parents had tried to kill him and the tribe - so he charged in and attacked them, as he fought one of them managed to set in a poisioned dagger into Lyzia's leg. After Arco had killed them, Lyzia died in his arms...

After that Arco became the cold hearted loner he is now... And later tracked down Lyzia's parents in another tribe where he slaughtered everyone, including women and children in total range. He left Vvardenfell, and had almost gone totally mad. But about as his life were about to change his new friends got taken by a Vampire under a venture and turned into vampires and attacked Arco and made him kill them...

Will post a more detailed history in FF..

Personality: Megil is a quiet and reserved dunmer. Quite the thinker and attuned with his inner energy, this has allowed him to become a spellcaster of some strength. He is quiet unless something of importance needs to be said, and will not antagonize others unless a threat is present.
Brief History: Megil was orphaned at the age of 7 when his family’s boat was shipwrecked during a storm. The young dunmer was wave tossed and eventually stranded on an island of Azura’s coast. In fact it is said that it was only by Azura’s intervention that Megil managed to survive the storm. He lived on a small island near Azura’s shrine, which he visited often. It is there that he learned to meditate and focus his arcane skills. He also learned to use a bow and arrow as well as spears for when his energy was to spent to cast a spell.
Physical Attributes: Thin yet toned, not very strong but still strong enough to use his large bow. His hair is spiked and is red with silver streaks. Clean shaven face and red piercing eyes. Wears only light armor so that he can easily get out of his enemies reach to unleash a spell or knock another arrow onto his bow.

Personality: Headstrong, intelligent. Focused on his duties. Some would call him arrogant or calculating. Sometimes he seems to be a bit absent-minded. He has his weaknesses but you will have to roleplay to find out about them. He also has a hidden agenda.
Brief History: Anthanes was born as the son of a Dunmeri prostitute who 'worked' in the slums of a Cyrodiilic city. His father was an Imperial, but Anthanes never knew him. He grew up by himself on the street which has toughened him greatly. Around this time he discovered his magical abilities when he had used magic to attempt to scorch a passer-by who he planned to mug. This passer-by was a skilled battlemage, and he could see that Anthanes had quite some magical potential. Therefore the battlemage, an Imperial, offered to take him in as his apprentice. Anthanes agreed and spent the next years learning to harness his magical powers as well as taking some training in the martial arts, learning how to use long blades and wear heavy armor. When he was twenty years old, his training was finished and he began travelling to Morrowind, where his Dunmeri roots lay. After seven years, he is now an Evoker in the Mages' guild and has more or less settled on Vvardenfell isle, performing tasks as a 'field agent' for the mages guild.
Other Physical Attributes: Due to his half-imperial heritage, his ears are only slightly pointed and his skin is a bit less dark than the average dunmer's. He is 6'0 tall, has short, black hair and a small goatee, and could arguably be considered handsome. His voice is a little softer than the average Dunmer's and he speaks with the clear accent of an Outlander.

Equipment: He has a suit of steel platemail, lacking only a helmet and shield. He also has a glass longsword, and knows a wide array of spells, mostly of the schools of Destruction and Mysticism.

Brief History:Lived in a small town by the border of High Rock and Skyrim and the roudy Nords often came over the border to raid often so the residents mastered bows and leared to scout ahead and find faint traces of the Nords wandering the woods. one night the Nords desided to attack and Otik was told to run to Jehanna to get the soldiers. By the time they got back the town was in riuns and Otik Hated Nords from that day on. (no offence to any Nords lol He had to have some defect)
Other Physical Attributes:Tall, lean, and a scar from the Nords on his back that he doesn't show anyone, ever.

Personality: Good, thought he has some of the typical warrior personality. Honorble and good fighter that comes out in his fights. He is also a little caring and kind..
Brief History: Read the start in the Fan Fic Section...
Other Physical Attributes: Tall, strong and swift. He looks 'avarage' and is bold. Some scars here and there..

Well, how he looks, armour etc. Is almost the same as the typical Redguard picture on the TES Website. A little armour on his left arm and chest and legs, and no armour on his sword arm (right) wears only a few belts around with some pouches and stuff. Has only one weapon, a Ebony Longsword..

Well that sounds like an interesting character. But he has to have no family connections and have a secret and dark past to be in a Mystery Unleashed!!! I would have thought you could join, seeing as you were in from the start.

Why does everyone need a dark past and/or no family connections?    I think he's perfectly fine. 

EDIT: Fighter's Guild in where? Arent' there multiple Fighter's Guilds?

I think the Master of the fighters guild is just the leader of a guildhall and the Grandmaster is the leader of all the guild on the particular province.

Personality:Strong and intelligent but is quick to trust people and he is easily influenced and is drawn into many plots where he ia made to feel like he belongs or is needed.
Brief History:Yorks father was taken by guards when he was young for a crime that he didn't commit and shipped to Morrowind, desperate to find his father he joined the legion and was transfered to Morrowind as well. Unable to find his father he still wanders the land searching for clues as to what might have become of him.
Other physical attributes:Black hair combed down in the front and sides, typical dark elf, wears full suit of steel armor with the exception of a helmet.

Yes York is in the legion, he used it as a way to search for his father, he's from my Fan Fiction. I wanted to use a character I wouldn't forget.
