Well, after finding that my computer plays Oblivion really laggy, until I can get a new video card - I thought, oh well, at least I can make some mods for Oblivion. Which I have done. But, this thing about unpacking the .bsa files (why did they do it this way, to make it so difficult to get the meshes & textures?) - well I put it off even though I'd downloaded the unpacker tool.

So when I finally did get inspired to make some new wizard robes and needed to unpack the .bsa in order to retexture - I come to find out that I cannot fit the entire expanded data files on my w2k side of my hard drive. I would have to stop playing either Guild Wars or Dungeons & Dragons and erase it from the hard drive. But I am still enjoying both of those games.

Sooo, the logical conclusion is that I will make my wizard robes in Morrowind, which is on the w98 side of my hard drive & working just fine, thank you. lol

So anyway ... here are my first 3 wizard robes with some accessories. I found these textures from space photos and thought they'd make a good Celestial Robe collection. I think I'll make a quest mod which will include clues - kinda like a treasure hunt - to find the different wizard robes. Maybe a wizard tower might be in order, I don't know how extensive it might get.

So ... HERE .. they are. There are drab ones, plain ones, spectacular ones and ones in between. A little bit of something for everyone, I'm hoping.

Anyone who'd like to suggest names and/or enchantments for the three shown here - your help would be appreciated and you'll be named in the ReadMe. I like to retexture, but I'm not all that great with the enchantments and catchy names.
Thanks. smile.gif Also, if you can think of any of the helms that might look okay retextured as a wizard/mage hat, let me know. I'm kinda tired of always using the Colovian Helm as a mage hat. They've gotta have a bit more fashion to their lives than that. laugh.gif

Yeh, I guess. Well, all the textures come from photos of cosmic events.

A good retextured hat would be the Redoran Scout helm. It's not TOO bad looking.

OMG! I really like them, Toroabok. Very nice. Yes, the first one is stealthy - very fitting being gray. The second one deals with curing deseases and that seems appropriate because it looks like it goes cameoflaged in a swamp environment. And the last one would deal with light being so starry. Wonderful! Thank you.

Now if we could just get Khajiit Overlord Rainer to come up with some fitting names. The first grey robe comes from a lunar moonscape. The second one is actually a cosmic spider galaxy out in space. And the third one I think is part of our galaxy.

Anyone have name ideas? I will give you as the author of the enchantments in the ReadMe, Torabok. I am also making a wizard tower to go with the mod now. I was going to put it near Caldera because of the style, but now it is out in the grazelands near the Zaib Camp (? spelling) because I like how isolated it is out there.

Can I ask you another enchantment question, Toroabok? About how many points or in what range is it good to make weapon damages - like the slash, cut, stab - to make them a nice weapon but not uber or overbalance the game? LIke a Daedric katana does Chop 2-44, Slash 1-40, Thrust 1-14; a Daedric longsword does Chop 2-43, Slash 1-44, Thrust 4-40. And they are very powerful, right? So is it smart to stay somewhat lower than that?

Also, what is a good range for the weapon enchantments do you think? I make mine very high for when I'm playing because I just like to win with little effort...but for making a mod for upload, I think I should make it more balanced. I will have to look more at the game enchantment ammounts. Thanks for your help biggrin.gif

Well, thank you for umm...thanking me. biggrin.gif I've never been in a ReadMe before, so this is rather exciting. And you are welcome. The enchantments just kinda...came to me. And actually, the 2nd was resist diseases because the color looked kind of like a Blight Storm. I've always wanted to make a character that was good in enchanting...But I never could. It made me mad because I would go extreme with the enchantments (not meaning to. I just didn't have the heart to make a sucky enchantment) and I would, of course, fail.

Anyways, back on the topic. Well, if you make this weapon for the mod, it should be above average. If it isn't, people probably wont even give a crap about it, as they would have a better weapon already. It could be non-enchanted, and have the power of a Daedric Dai-Katana, but one handed. Maybe at the end of the main quest for the mod (if there is one) you could make it so somebody gives you an awesome soul gem so you can enchant the weapon yourself.

Yes it does look like a blight storm, I knew it reminded me of something. I will be posting some more robes & accessories shortly, so I hope you'll stay tuned. I'm going to try to make some more 'subdued' ones for DarkHunter's taste.

Well, I've been working on the wizard mod but I went too too overboard on the tower. I think I made it too tall for the game ... I keep getting a warning text message and the game won't open at all. So I'm going to have to scale it down to size and see just how high you can build in Morrowind. If anyone knows this offhand I'd appreciate a heads up on it. Thanks
