Yes, I meant mind-blowingly wierd.

I thought it said that that was in '98, so you would have been 8 or 9, not 6.

This could never happen to me. I never wrote to any sites like that, as I've always been a cynic by nature. I stopped believing in Santa when I was four,(didn't stop me from playing along. Being good for toys isn't a bad deal) the tooth fairy when I was 3 (I liked the money though), and the Easter Bunny when I was 6. (Still liked the chocolate)

My name is very rare. There is one other faimily with my last name near me. They are my grandfather's (on my father's side) brother's family. He (my gandpa's brother) is dead now, but he had a wife and a daughter around my age. They (grandpa and his brother) stopped speaking yeats ago, and haven't spoken for more than 20 years. Besides these, there is one other family with my last name in the ENTIRE UNITED STATES. A lot of them are police chiefs and army sergeants and stuff. None of my family members can be googled. None of us have any trace that will show up in google or altavista. We are invisible, stalking in the shadows...

They got nothing. Nah, they have our tax paying records, and vehicle law fine information. They can look, but they won't like what they find... MUAHAHAHAH! Nah, we're a fairly ordinary family at first look. If they dig deep enough though, they will be scared.

Unfortunately, the reason there are no records of us is because I'm paranoid and deleted them. MUAHAHAHAHA! Nah, I don't disclose my last name over the internet. Bad idea. These are a forum that anyone can look through, and even if you needed to log on to see these posts, "wierdos" could still be some of those who have accounts. It's a bad idea for anyone to release their name over the internet, as you never know who's reading your information, but it's very bad for people like me, people with "unique" last names. Just my personal policy. I really am paranoid, but paranoia can be good, see?

Yes...good advice not to reveal your last name on the net. ...Especially if it´s unique.

See. Somebody agrees with me... I must be right! Just kidding. I'm always right even if people don't agree with me. wink.gif (except when I'm not)

And back to the original topic, for me, for now, anyways. biggrin.gif
It's kind of cool to find something about yourself online. I just searched my first and last name together, as a phrase on both google and altavista, and got nothing. Now, without itbeing a phrase, I get 402 on Google and 131 on Altavista.
I pick a random name of some of my friends, and:
1,840,000 on Altavista, 1,960,000 on Google
2,390,000 on Altavista, 1,640,000 on Google
And people don't know why I'm jealous of people with more common names. None of the responses on my name are even about me! Oh well, my history can't be looked up by curious people who can't mind their own business. Haha. sad.gif

For my full name, I got 2 hits, but both were me, suggesting I'm essentially unique. Althought there's a republican senator with the same last name as me.
