Dusting off old Daggerfall - nice!

Please say that you are using Daggerfall Unity. Unity makes Daggerfall much more friendly and easier on the eyes. And don't forget the mods.

What is Daggerfall Unity?

I got about 4 minutes in and couldn't make the game Full Screen, even if Full Screen was toggled. I've been able to make DF work in the past so I'm not sure what the prob is. The camera movements are also very jumpy and I had alot to do today, kinda lost patience!

What is Daggerfall Unity?

Daggerfall Unity is an independent open-source project to make Daggerfall playable on a modern PC. Game play is smooth and crash free. A multitude of bugs have been squished, and it is modable. There are many mods available on the NEXUS.

It should help you with the issues you are experiencing.

I use the DaggerfallGameFiles (Cross Platform, Recommended) method. All you need to do is download the DaggerfallGameFiles file and the current Daggerfall Unity version; dfu_windows_64bit-v1.1.1.zip.

BTW, I still play Daggerfall. It holds a permanent spot on my PC. It is my go-to when a I need a dungeon crawl fix.

You're gonna laugh, maybe yell at me! I don't want to modify Daggerfall though. I want to play exactly what y'all played back in the 1990s. I want that experience. I did all of Arena in 2015-16 for instance. Loved the pixellated graphics, and the general DOSbox feel of the game. Would not trade that experience.

However, Arena's a very stable game, whereas I've heard DF is definitely not. So yeh, if I can't get Daggerfall working yet I'm really really wanting to play it, then I'll look into Unity Project. Not so much for updated graphics, but for playability.
