Chorrol.com _ Oblivion Mods _ I got a mod idea...

I don´t know if someone has suggested it before but what about a cannibal mod, like you can eat dead corpses or there could be a quest involving a cannibal and he lives in like Leyaviin and the guards have found dismembered rotting corpses out in swamps or that you find a hidden chest and you can find human flesh in it or something and someone tries to kill you for finding that chest.

Just an idea.

You'd have to think of a legitimate story and plot to go with it. I don't mind writing it, cannibalism sounds like a great idea (for the game that is, I'm not a secret flesh-eating monster... or am I?)

Yeah, necro-thread queen here. Somebody wanted to make an Oblivion version of Loviatar way back in 2009

I've been gaming a lot these last few days, and when I'm not, I'm watching my daughter get acquainted with Minecraft, which (omg) is mind-blowing. I'm glad I'm not playing Minecraft, and that it's "her" game, because I think I'd get obsessed with MC. panic.gif

So I've been with in TES4 with Snaat Rayag, playtesting the five quests I've added to his game so far. I also found another one of the ladies for Gweden Brothel finally.

The first two quests I made were simple. One was a fetch, and the other a "kill the skooma thief". Then City Swimmer got pwned in Bravil by the guards. And Snaat Rayag grabbed her key and began squatting in her flat, but then I got the idea "what if he could officially own this place?" So I made a quest, using the "Buy a house in Bravil" quest as a sort of template. It basically is supposed to make it so that if Snaaty has enough coin, he can officially buy City Swimmer's apartment. smile.gif This quest didn't work, but I think it's because I already setownership of CS's flat.

I made a very short quest, literally just two stages, during which Snaaty meets an NPC in Pell's Gate who wishes to join my Dunmer for adventuring. I made the NPC myself (whose name is Deeshus Arrdunn Duud).

And the final quest is much longer than these others; I've been working on it slowly for probably a month. It's mostly been working but there are little things which have snagged me here and there. I'm figuring it all out though.

Renee, how exciting that you’re making your own quests for Oblivion! Good luck with your in-progress quest. I have never made a quest mod. I am cheering you on from the sidelines! laugh.gif

It seems to be my thing, the thing I want to learn most. It's really neat! Frustrating at times too, but it's mostly because the tutorials I read or watch often don't explain things right, or sometimes it's my fault for not not following directions correctly. But I've noticed I'm at the point where I just "know" a lot of things, and don't have to look at my notes as much. I'll never be as good as Bethesda or some established modders, but this is okay.

Best thing is I can put my character's name directly into dialog & journal updates. smile.gif I love that. It's like my game is starting to feel like one of those children's books that has their name directly in the story.

Congrats on your questing Renee! That is something I never really delved into.

Mutant cannibal rednecks. With chainsaws, yay! Oops, sorry; not a Fallout forum. OK, should be possible to come up with a Tamriel equivalent - the nearest thing in vanilla I think, though, is those slightly odd folk in Hackdirt.

This is something that I want to work on, and I'm planning on rewriting some - (if not all) - of the player dialog to match Kallis' accent and speech... smile.gif

Sure, this is easy, if this is all you want to do is just get in there and rewrite some stuff. I can teach you more than this too, but mostly basic stuff.
