What starter weapons with what inchantments would you all put in a chest in Seyda Neen for a beginning character. I have put some enchanted clothing, glass armor and some glass weapons ... but I want to make some other enchanted weapons to try out. I am totally open to suggestion.

My characters are usually spellswords, assassins, enchantresses, battlemages - but that doesn't really matter. I'd like to try some new things. Tell me what starter weapons you'd reccommend and how you'd enchant them and how you'd picture them to look if you were going to retexture them.

A Chitin spear with a charm enchantment (or command humanoid, command creature.) It would be freaking fun. I've never seen an enchanted Chitin spear before and I think that this kind of enchantment is rather interesting. smile.gif No retextures necessary.

I'm not sure, I never tried it before. (The command spells that is. Nothing beated a good ol bit of supernatural charm when I was trying to make people do things. laugh.gif )

I did however read something along those effects. The effected being will follow the player, fight for him and generally behave like a summoned creature, for as long as the spell lasts.

I thought about this once.

Imagine you come across a note to your Character:

Dear {PlayerName},

So it seems you've found my stash old friend. Perhaps it will serve you better then it did me.
Take these old things, my bones wont complain. Luck be with you.

{Old Dead Friends name}



Chest contains:

Heavy leather boots encahnted with +5 to athletics and speed
Exquisite ring with spell for 40% Chameleon for 30 seconds.
Pair of plain Black Gloves
Long Blade with CE +5 to long blade
Iron Dagger with Poison 5 points for five seconds
Steel Longbow
100 Enchanted Stell Arrows.
Warhammer with Damage Health Enchantment

Basically you set them off with a decent set of weapons that should cover each specialization. Pleus who wouldnt want a pair of boots that makes you run faster?

Oh you're an Ace, Hand! That is just what I'm looking for. I'm going to put Jack's Command Spear in your chest along with the other great items and I'll let you know how it goes. I'm even thinking of throwing in the old friend's ghost somewhere along the way to make things really fun. Wonder if you can make a ghost a companion to the player? I guess you can since there are animal pet/companions. The friendly ghost could be your pet/ghost companion. Gonna try it!

Oh and you could make it a "latest rumours' that updates your journal.

Kinda Like, you start talking to a Guard or something:

latest rumors:

"They say a smuggler cached his loot here recently. Trying to hide from the Census and Excise apparently. Could be some valuable stuff for an adventurer like you, provided the Excise Office doesnt find it first; of course...."

Thats brings up the topic 'Smugglers Loot'.

Smugglers Loot (requires disposition of 50 or higher)
"Since I like you I'll tell you. Talk to Thavere Vedrano, the lady in the Lighthouse, shes sometimes watches the coastline from the top of the tower, maybe she saw something."

Then you go talk to her.

Smugglers Loot
"Why, yes. I did see someone land in a small rowboat just west of here on a small Island. Looks like they took a chest with them into an Ancestral Tomb. I did'nt really think anything of it at the time, so I did'nt report it. Talk to Socius Ergalla if hes giving any reward."

Go talk to the annoying Breton.

Smugglers Loot

"Well what were really after is the Smuggler, not his loot. If you find the Imperial named Jonas Salmian, and bring back proof of his death, there is a bounty of 1000 septims that is yours.'

(Go loot various Ancestral Tombs west of Seyda Neen, come accross Jonas Salmian. Whom is set to attack, and looting his corpse yeilds only netch leather armor, common clothes, and a ring called "Jonas Salmians Ring.)

Loot the described weapons, and head back to Socius Ergalla.

Jonas Salmian

"Ah yes. This ring has his name inscribed on it. I am satisfied that you have brought him to justice. Here is your reward, and thanks again (playername)."

There a nice little side quest for a begginer player.

Wow, thanks SOO MUCH!! I never iknew how to make dialogue spur journal entries before ... I will definitley give this a serious try ... oh, 'writ of the black hand' is going to be so good! That's not the starter mod, but I'll put it in that too if I can get it to work in starter.

Enchant a Daedric Dagger or some other kind of dagger to kick complete boat. I don't know how, maybe mod it, but there needs to be a dagger that can kill anything in one hit, or almost one hit.
